  1. Hi! Does anyone knows if the new Dakota will has the new Mediatek MT3329 chipset? I am very curious about this new chipset. They say that this new chipset will work well with slow speed. Let's see.

  8. Hi there! May be someone could help me. Anyone knows if I can download POI from a GPS (Etrex Legend HCx) to a computer? I would like to transfer the POI that I have in my Etrex Legend HCx to another garmin GPS (Oregon 200 from Christmas) that I have. I do not have the csv file. Is there any application that does the opposite of the POI LOADER that gets the POI from the GPS and create a csv file with them? Any suggests are well come. Thanks AA

  11. Hi Team R2! No, no, I'm not from Garmin. I'm just a guy with one Etrex Legend HCx. I think that the 2.60 GPS firware version makes the unit works better. I already read something about that intermittent accuracy problems. But it seems that these problems don't affects all the units (??). We hope that Garmin improve the behavior of the Etrex H(Cx) series. Regards AA

  16. Hi gallet, are you talk about the Etrex Vista Hcx or Etrex Hcx? The GPS SW Version 2.40 is from Vista HCx or from etrex HCx (the yellow one). Only to confirm. Thanks AA
  17. Hi, So it seems that it's a kind of mistake. However I will put here a Garmin's answer to my question about new chipset garmins' answer May be garmin doesn't understand my question. But now I would like to know if there is or there isn't some Etrex Vista HCx with CHIPSET SW VERSION = 2.40 (I am talking about GPS SW version, not Software Version. They are different things.) . If so could anyone update from GPS SW Version 2.30 to 2.40? Regards AA

When I try to update it with webupdater it tells me that I already have the new ones. So, I don't now how 2.40 chipset version appears. Unless they use another chipset AA

Some of the newer models do have a different chipset however there is no option to upgrade to this chipset version on the older units.
