Hi, I just downgrade to 2.80. Garmin is taken to much time to release a new software version. I will be more careful with beta releases. In the past Garmin was quicker between a beta release and final release.

I think that Garmin stops developing for any of the GPS models. Not only for the Montana. I am waiting for a new software release for the etrex30 since october when they release a beta version. Maybe they are working in something new. Who knows.

sussamb, I'm working with 2.87 version and the screenshot works. I did some to sent to Garmin.

Hi, but the Calculate Routes for is also annoying because it change from car to pedestrian (when change profile from pedestrian to automobile) and the route is not a valid one. I notice that because it takes too much time to calculate it. Then I change it back.

Hi, today, for the first time I tried the car navigation and I notice that it took to much time to calculate the route. And I notice that some settings are lost when I change profiles. For instance, Lock on Road, and Calculate Routes for. Does anyone have the same problem? AA

Hi Randall 50. Did you tell to Garmin what happened to you? I sent an email to Garmin and they asked me to sent a file and some printscreens. If Garmin take much longer I think will have to downgrade to 2.80 Two months is a long time. They usually takes two or three weeks. Let's hope they give as a new release soon. Mine froze two times and shutdown five times. I hope that Garmin release a new version soon.

Hi, I would like to share an odd think that happened with my etrex 30 with 2.87 beta version. When I was navigated in the town, suddenly I looked to the GPS and the screen was black with GARMIN in the middle. It was blocked. I could not turn it off with the power button. To turn it off I took the batteries off. This happened three times. At first I thought it was related with the fact that the batteries was with low charge but today I am using full charged batteries. It was the first time this happen to me. I do not know if this is related with this beta version. I will sent this to garmin beta team. Regards

Hi, I just bought a Nuvi 40. Everytime I turn it on it asks me to accept the User Licence. I always choose Accept All but it asks me again. Any suggestion. I sent an e-mail to Garmin, too and I´m waiting for an answer. Anyway, maybe someone has any suggestion. Thank you

Hi, From what I read it is not consensual that with more satellites we get more accuracy. Is that so? I wonder why Garmin has started using this new chipset (Teseo II) with Etrex. Will Etrex be the Beta Tester ? And do you think that Garmin will continue to use this new chipset (TESEO II) on their handheld receivers? I am curious if Garmin will use it on the Oregon and Dakota. Hi, Why is Garmin so quiet? No upgrades for Montana or Etrex or Oregon or Dakota... In particular for Oregon or Dakota. I'm used to have, at least, one every month to correct a bug or with new options.
