  2. Seeing how pathetic Garmin has been with service toward the Colorado, I'm really wondering if this is not a ploy to "abandon" the Colorado. If you look at some of the firmware updates that have been released for the Oregon, they are some serious upgrades that need to be done to the Colorado. Why would these updates not be released in the last release of the Colorado? You don't release a superior unit to the Colorado just months after releasing the Colorado line, unless you plan to spend your resources on the superior line. Look at some of the older models (IE: 60 CSx, etc.). How many updates do you see now for that unit since they have released the Colorado? I really hope that is not the case, but after dealing with Garmin recently, it would not surprise me one bit
  3. Will it still work if you tape the prepaid envelope to a brick? Make it better....stick the brick in a large box filled with packing, and place the label on the outside. Perhaps a LARGE box The checks sound awesome to me. Perhaps different images (IE: GC Logo, Signal, Ammo Cans, etc.)
  4. Our 16 month old is turning into quite the cacher. She'll help find them, and even helps re-hide them. She has fun hiding our ready mades here at the house, and I'm still searching for 2 of the micros she "hid". LOL. Anyways, this was yesterday at the Sandusky Gazebo Cache (GC15JZP) in Sandusky, Ohio.
  5. Actually Angie, a decision was just made unanimous this evening! We had 10 logos submitted for the competition, all very good might I add. This was a VERY difficult process in picking a winner with so many good entries. Wanted to take a quick opportunity to thank EVERYONE for participating in this competition. It is hyperactives such as your self that will keep geocaching, and geocaching clubs, alive for many years to come! We had our local CITO event this past weekend, and presented the entries to those in attendance. They had a couple of favorites, and ended up narrowing it down to 1 final one that was decided to be named the winner. The winning entry was submitted by David Carryer, with the logo found below. Please keep an eye out in the very near future for the integration of this logo into the NCOG website! Thanks again to everyone!
  6. Like the design, but a quick question. What software did you use to create your image? I'm having troubles with Photoshop and PSP, and am trying to design one for myself. Thanks for any help you can offer.
  7. Just wanted to thank everyone for their entries into the competition. The competition officially closed a midnight last night / this morning. We received 10 great entries, and this will be a tough decision. Stay tuned for an announcement in the near future! Thanks again gang!

  10. Sorry I haven't been on here lately gang. Computer took a dump, and just now getting caught up on most stuff. Yes the deadline is coming up tomorrow, the 15th. Please, if you want to get a logo submitted, please do so by midnight on the 15th. Hope to see more!
  11. I would say around 300 x 300 is what our final destination will be. If it is larger, we can size down and retain quality. Fine print tends to get pretty small that way though. As for the weather....our house flooded out. Pretty much taken care of now though, but man. NCO was tore up pretty good (Bucyrus, Galion, Shelby).
  12. That is one awesome looking coin! Congrats on the production!
  13. No kidding peacetrain. LOL. Just for the record I payed this walking stick a visit the other night. This thing is unreal with detail...and solid hardwood. Awesome stick!
  14. Hope you have a day full of caches and memories! Enjoy life....it IS what it's cracked up to be
  15. Sorry Angie. I just looked and it is there. Thank you! I had my personal address open and wasn't paying attention. Sorry for the confusion!
  16. Thanks for these entries gang! If I could, could I possibly get each of you to submit the original graphic via email at ncogeocachers@gmail.com ? Sometimes the graphics lose quality when they are uploaded on the forums (might not here, not sure exactly how these forums are setup). I would appreciate it Thanks again for your work!
