  1. Hmmm, I have Moun10biker's trails map on my gpsr. Might want to look into that http://www.switchbacks.com/nwtrails/
  2. Oh, this was shot in the "family" room.
  3. That's the guest seat, they don't sit in my chair. You have to fend for yourselves.
  4. I didn't see any new threads on the forums relating to Geo Dogs so I thought I'd show you two new ones, Cache and Claire. My black lab, Gabby, has around 176 caches under her belt and over 1200 miles on them paws. These two German Shepard's are ten weeks old and already have activated tags. I think they have one cache each.
  5. Here's two pics, one of me and one of Peg with Baker in the background.
  6. Are you from out of State? Just up the road on 169 in the Maple Valley area is some great Caching and Breakfast is great at Gloria's in Maple Valley. There's also the Testy Chef. Then you could hit all the caches at Danville Trails or Sugarloaf. Yeah, I'm a shill for MV.
  7. I hope all Events will be filled to capacity!!!!
  8. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...p;#entry4327270 Ahhh, now I understand. Hydensek is right. Ohwell. I went to Mt. Rainier last year and had a great time.
  9. Weekly Groundspeak has it on the 5th of June.
  10. I thought the date was the 5th for the CITO at the Mountain? Huh?
  11. I noticed that there was no mention here about CITO the Mountain GC28DN8 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC28DN8 which is held at the Longmire Camp at Mt. Rainier. Hope nobody minds that I posted first. The CITO is on the 5th of June but I will be camping on the 4th. Hope to see everyone from last year there.
  12. If you start at the top of Hw18, be sure to take pics of the bridge someone built at the road washout.(I have pics of it's construction, just lucky, I guess)
  13. Thankyou so much Sir. Now I just need to dl to my two garmins
  14. 35 local Explorer Search and Rescue members were happy to see that bridge yesterday while doing exercises in the area. I'm sitting on the grassy Knoll out of sight with Gabby Dog when they round the pile of rocks and see me drinking a beer and having a smoke. all scroungy looking. With a gpsr attached to my dog. And my friend working on the bridge. They thought it was cool. and were very happy they didn't have to work that hard the last mile.
  15. I'm trying to get rid of my potbelly. There was an unmarked white helicopter flying around, I wonder if it was the DEA
  16. Well, The bridge is finished. I did some work creating new approaches to the bridge and working on the creek underneath placing rocks to protect the banks. I packed in a shovel and a pair of loppers. Here is the finished bridge. When I got back to my truck, I found this on the windshield.
  17. Up on Taylor Mtn. opposite of Tiger Mtn on Hwy 18 a beaver has been busy building a Bridge over the River NoName. Here is the Super questioning the waste involved. Now the Super(Gabby Dog-tb21amd) is inspecting the construction. The outriggers will hold the handrail. I went up there a few days ago to do some foundation work and creek diversion. Gabby has been there more often than I even though she is my dog. A friend borrows her for security and quality control. One of the reasons we are doing it is because the road is washed out. The other reason is because my friend and I have caches on the other side of the washout.
  18. I have a caching buddy and we always share the FTF but whoever finds it first gets to sign the log first and keep the ftf prize. On the log page we always share. I agree though that it really doesn't matter. It's not the destination but the journey there that counts the most to me.
  19. Yeah, I love the trails overlay and you've done a great job contributing to it, even mapping the park where I've hidden Gabby"s Run. I was going to send that in myself but you beat me to it. It's not really a big deal toggling between the mapsets. I mainly use the topo when I'm in the woods and don't need it when driving.
  20. Is this an overlay that will work over the roadmaps? I have the above the timber topo and it doesn't play well with garmins roadmaps.
  21. I just released a new tb called Steal This!! TB2ANVG I attached a cheap clip to it and if you like the clip, you can keep it and attach a new cheap item. Funny that someone else had the same idea.
  22. It seems that lately up here in the Maple Valley area of Washington State, there has been a rash of missing tbs and coins so I launched a new tb called "Steal This!!(TB2ANVG) It has a cheap clip attached to it. If you like it you can keep it and attach something else to the tag and then post a pic of the new item. I will update the default pic as it(hopefully) moves along. I don't know how far it will get before it disappears but what the heck.
  23. But those people do at least sign the log book in the cache. In this case, the last log book signature was by the guy who dropped the TB. Apologies - when the OP said "log" I thought they meant the on-line log. I love to go after coins and tb's and promptly move them along but lately it seems there have been a rash of missing stuff in the Maple Valley and surrounding area. I do have one coin but I won it in a raffle at a cito event at Mt. Rainier this spring. It's a Lacky coin. I also have a tb attached to my dog. Gabby Dog Tag(tb21amd)
  24. I don't like to use the word steal but today I went to a new cache that was posted yesterday. The owner had dropped a coin and the ftf swapped coins. The STF added a tb. I was third to find today and noticed the first two logs but no coin or tb This is starting to get ridiculous. My buddy has a coin logged in his cache that had been activated and dropped in his cache but it is now missing. It seems now that all the caches that have trackables that I go to are missing. Sorry, I just needed to rant
