  1. They should if I mailed them. Unfortunately, since I never get home from work on time, the PO is always closed. There will be a bunch going out on Sat. I also had some computer access problems and couldn't get to emails outlining the trades I made, sooooooo - expect them sometime next week.
  2. Congrats! Welcome to the club!
  3. The points are a nice touch (where'd ya get the idea? ) - the coin looks great. I'd trade one of my personal coins for yours.
  4. Can't wait for me Scotland coin!
  5. I'd trade. Unless of course, the money is going to some kind of charity - like for fat kids who ate too many weinerschnitzels.
  6. And if you do one of Candover's cache up north, come strapped. Just ask SplicingDan!!!
  7. You need to seriously consider WHERE you are caching. I'm pretty sure none of the locals are willing to place an ammo can anywhere in the city parks system (outer boroughs, maybe). Ammo cans in Manhattan just wouldn't cut it. Most caches in the city, at least until recently were placed by out of towners. Most traditional caches have been muggled at least once if not more and if you're not living here, it's not going to get replaced. I think most of the traditional caches in the city are pretty decent considering the common sense restrictions.
  8. Hate to tell ya...but that's my cache and it is a bit out of the way. Most of the locals have already bagged it, so it might not get picked up for a while. On the odd chance I head up that way I will grab it and move it but you may not win the race to the next checkpoint.
  9. They're in and they look pretty dadgum nice! I will begin to pack and send them out as soon as my slips get here. Those whose coins I have received will get theirs first. Those who have said they would like to trade and have not sent me theirs please contact me through email. Anyone else wishing to set up a trade may also do so through email - please do not use this thread. As soon as I get a chance I will post some pics of the coin. Thanks to everyone for their patience. -Neil (Squealy)
  10. Hey Everyone - I may be getting involved with the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society of America and one of their programs. I was trying to think of a way to get the GC community involved and also maybe put out a coin, so that we have something to commemorate the drive and was wondering what all the serious coin collectors would be willing to pay for a coin, knowing that after cost, all the moey would go to the Luk/Lymph Society. I'm thinking $20 per coin - hoping that cost percoin would not go over 5-7 with shipping etc. Would you guys donate? Does it sound like something the community would get behind? Some feedback would be great - positive or negative. If this is crossing some forum guidelines can an Admin please contact me to let me know? Thanks, -Neil (Squealy)
  11. I would log this one under whining. I see no problem with a LE coin. You don't have to buy EVERY coin made. NEEDING to have every coin and every coin type is a bit dramatic. Nor do you have to make coins for every little thing referencing geocaching. TNLNSL coin Thanks for the hunt coin Phone a Friend coin Thorns When Bushwacking coin I like to eat PBn'J When Geocaching Coin... it is all getting a little ridiculous. I think the whole coin thing, for me, is going to go the same way geaocaching has for me - do what you want, what you're interested in - what you like. I will only collect coins that I like - I don't need every one - same as I am only going to do caches that I want to do. I'm tired of micros (even though I will probably bag a ton on a run tomorrow - because, that's what I'm in the mood to do). It's Your hobby - for YOU. Do what makes YOU happy.
  12. It's missing the lighthouse series icon. Wonder where you might see one of those...
  13. Would this be the appropriate place to complain about the USA icon? It's friggin' heinous (not that I could do any better). Didn't we invent the dadgum hobby?
  14. Thought that was only for people who had preordered the UK and EU coins.
  15. EBAY thread. Lock it!!! Lock it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. It stands for what they did to us!
  17. As per original thread - 2 reg and 1 LE if you can squeeze me in Marky. Thanks.
  18. I think a coin based on a cache is a really good idea. I think, you should first decide whether you will place them in the cache for finders to have OR mail it to them after you have confirmed they have found it. My next coin is going to be based on my Valley Rally which has only 15 finds in about 3 years. It will contain the names of those cachers who have found it. They will have first opportunity to buy the coin or trade for it then I will open it up for trades from others. I will either mint only 50 or 100 and judging from the plans in my head - it should be a sweet coin. No, I won't take pre orders now.
