  1. See? Too easy - but I had fun drawing it. Good Job gardengorilla! Your turn....
  2. OK G'nite. I'll check back in the AM
  3. Excellent! It helped that I have an activated one of those Lily pads!! OK - here is my effort: but I think I made it WAY too easy... I just looked at this one a few days ago...
  4. this should be an easy one The Lilypad Cache Geocoin!
  5. Ha! That HAS to be it. I was thinking "diamond" or "roman helmet". I guess that shows where my mind is - or is not in this case.... This is fun.
  6. Ding! Yes! It's all yours now...
  7. OK Back from dinner. Perhaps I colored it too much, but here you go:
  8. woo hoo.. OH KAY. I got my work cut out now...(digs through coin box)
  9. The Cachosphere! I got sucked in!
  10. For me - it is "Santa Barbara One" http://coord.info/GC106, Hidden December 28, 2000
  11. Regarding "Seed" caches: Here is a great cache that also works out as a seed cache without an ALR: Holy Macro! GC17WY1 check out the photo gallery! My daughter and I were the third group to find.... quite a challenge. For night caches: here is mine: Noleta Nightlife GC1DA6N In addition to a variety of reflectors, I added waypoint coordinates at two points that allow you to "skip ahead" past some tricky sections of reflectors. That way if someone loses the trail they can recover and still get to the end. I like the cache page too...
  12. Once I had 5 DNFs in a row and it hurt my ego - a bit.
  13. I agree, 2.5 difficulty is about right. And yes, just the right amount of dis-information on the page now...
  14. Thanks! This one was completely a garage sourced container. The top part is one of those decorative wooden finials, which used to live on our fireplace mantle with a bunch of other candlesticks and stuff. The bottom tin container might have been an old microfilm can. Luckily, they matched in size exactly. A couple of thin rubber washers and a screw put them together. I think this one has a hard drive magnet in the bottom covered w/ gaffer's tape to keep it in place. Yeah, not 100% waterproof, but plenty good enough for Santa Barbara's climate The paint job is satin black with some dark gray splatter and streaky wash, followed by some rust brown here and there. It took a few trips back to the gate to get it right, but I like the result.
  15. Back on topic... I figured it was time to share another one... Here is one of my favorite hides. I love making "not a micro, but hidden in plain sight" hides. This one is a 4" diameter tin camouflaged to match it's environment. I get some really nice logs and it makes me snicker a bit every time I drive past it. Oh, and the hint: "Tinial Fin" check it out: The Cache Zone: The Container:
  16. One additional thing to check - Have you expanded the "time slider" bar usually in the upper left corner of the viewing window? I was having a hard time with seeing my tracklogs and that fixed it. It's a little annoying that you seem to need to drag it full right, THEN open the time range back to the left. Also, maybe not related: for my "google earh circles" GSAK macro, I needed to change my 3d rendering in options to openGL to make it work in the latest GE revision.
  17. I have seen camo "netting" gathered up around a lock-n-lock and the 4 corners captured with a carabiner tied to camo rope. very effective!
  18. I found a breast implant once. seriously.
  19. I'll agree it was a bit of a head scratcher for me this morning, but the hint update clicked right away. I still had to take some Pepto Bismol to figure out the longitude, but all is OK now. Thanks for the puzzle!
  20. There, I fixed it for you. Problem solved. Thanks for the fun little logic puzzle. (personal puzzle smiley for me ) For me it's not so much about finding it sometimes... My vote is to be nice and give a few positions as a hint...
  21. There's a big difference between a non committal log and one that gushes with praises. No one is suggesting that the LPC in a big store parking lot gets a sonnet. You mean like this ? Great parking lot looks like Warm-Mix Asphalt application. The lines appear to be painted with a Rollmaster Paint Line Striper 4" Wide Line Model # T9A239823 using Aervoe White Supreme striping paint. I’ts a shame I didn’t pack a picnic lunch or I would have stayed a bit longer. Signed the log. TN LN Hey. I just was reading back through this thread and noticed that there was no response to this Sonnet post. Excellent work FunnyNose. One of the best potential LPC logs I've seen. On topic a bit more: I have had a few deleted. A tactic I have used on very bad caches is to post a benign "found it" log, then edit it to add more editorial later on. I'm pretty sure the CO does not get notified of edits. A new "offensive" log that may be deleted is read via a notify email, and reacted upon. But it seems that it is not often that owners of really bad caches bother to read back through the online logs. I have not had an edited relog deleted (yet). I figure that since my log was deleted, that the CO is already aware of the condition of the cache or it's surroundings, so my log is not for them anymore, it is completely for other potential seekers (or recent DNF'ers) to read.
  22. Well, almost 55 gallons: Holy Macro! (check out the logs & gallery)
  23. On a lighter note: from the OP: This is the first thing that popped into MY head: <animal house> "Greg, honey, is it supposed to be this soft?" </animal house>
  24. my vote: [ab uvag] or maybe [zntargvp]
