  1. Others may have the same question. Why provide the answer in an email? I happen to own this exact GPS and although I probably would not use it to geocache it would be nice to know how if I ever need too.
  2. You might want to take a look at this link: http://kb.palm.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE...lm_External2001 My Palm Tungsten C works fine with my laptop that has Vista Home.
  3. I have purchased a home in Green Valley, AZ. and for the next couple of years I will be spending my summers in AZ until my youngest son finishes high school and starts college. Presently living in Tampa FL. area.
  4. I can load my Garmin from GSAK on my laptop which has Vista on it with no problems. My Palm is another story.
  5. Yes this works great but that is not the point. The feature is broken on Geocaching.com and when you use it, it makes a real mess on your GPS that you don't usually know about until you are in the field. What is worse is that this is not the first time this has happened.
  6. It is messed up on Geocaching.com right now. I have used it a lot and I just noticed that it is not working correctly today. This has happened before and it was fixed a few days later. My work around is to load my GPS from GSAK which works correctly.
  7. Yes they do. Unfortunately when I last checked they still did not have anything for the Palm Tungsen C that would allow it to run in Vista.
  8. When scrolling along a route on the map, large areas will become grayed out and not display anything. Also while scrolling along a route many caches will not be displayed at all or maybe what is happening is that they stop displaying on the map.
  9. Pretty academic now that memory is so cheap ... https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_/104-662...=19&Go.y=10 - Jay Yes I have just purchased a 2 GB card from Amazon.com for my GPS and I was able to reuse the 128 MB card that came with my GPS in my Palm PDA.
  10. I purchased my Garmin 60Csx in July and it came with the 128 MB card installed in it.
  11. No I don't use any filters. Thanks for your reply. The problem cleared today. All at once I started receiving my notifications again today after my post above. I did not receive any of the notification that I should have received yesterday but I did start getting the ones for today.
  12. It is not Gmail since everything else is working fine. The problem is only with Watchlist and Owner caches. It was still not working for me as of yesterday. All other notifications and PQ deliveries are working fine.
  13. I am still having a problem with not receiving any watched or owned cache listings. My son is also not receiving anything. I did receive my PQ's this morning and a subscription notification on a thread on Groundspeak so I don't think Groundspreak is being blocked on my end.
  14. I had the same problem yesterday. In my case it was the result of selecting several cache/waypoints in GSAK and sending them to my GPS. I did not check them in my GPS before I left the house so when I got out into the field I was surprised to see what had happened. This had never happened before but I don't think I had ever loaded my GPS this way from GSAK before. Today I loaded each cache/waypoint into my GPS after loading it into GSAK and it did not do this. PS: Well after reading the other post maybe it was not a GSAK problem after all, but I don't think I was loading straight from Geocaching.com instead of GSAK.
  15. I am new to using a Palm to cache with but what I have been having to do is load the pocket query and gpx files into GSAK and then generate a pdb file to export into my Palm. I hope someone knows of a way to export the files directly into the Palm.
  16. An icon may be fine but I am not sure how many people actually look at them. I think it is better to put this type of information right into the cache information/description.
  17. My wife and son did this program at the park and that is how our family got hooked on geocaching.
  18. On my unit it shows up as both a Waypoint and a Geocache. What could be happening is that you have the unit set to list the Waypoints and Geocaches by closes which might mean that some of the ones you are downloading are not showing up. You can change how it is displayed so that it is displayed by name so you can search for the Waypoint name.
  19. My son is with one of the US troops at the WSJ. If any of you guys get a chance to get around to BSA Troop 215 ask for Andrew.
  20. It is working ok for me. The feature was having problems a day or so ago but it is working now. Have you installed the plugin at this link? http://www8.garmin.com/products/communicator/
  21. I guess I sent the email too quick because the problem seems to have cleared itself. At least it just worked for me.
  22. I have sent an email referring to this thread so maybe we will get some feedback soon on the problem. This feature has worked for me in the past two days so I don't see how it could be a Garmin code problem. Something has changed someplace in the past couple of days that is causing this problem. The error I am receiving is showing that the Garmin plugin needs to be install not "page could not be found"...
  23. I had been using this feature for over a week and this weekend I updated my membership which may or may not have had anything to do with it but I noticed today I can no longer "Send to GPS". It is acting like the Garmin plugin needs to be loaded which I had already done but to make sure I went ahead and reloaded it again this morning. Still unable to "Send to GPS".
