Joyce, when you get here to Sweden pop the coin in the mail to me. I've got a TB hotel that is a safe distance from the coin thief in Stockholm and I can get the coin in it . Swedish mail is wonderfully efficient and I'll have it the day after you send it. If money weren't so tight I'd drive down to see ya, but we're having to be very careful... now... if you want to bring me some Velveeta I might just have to rethink the money thing, lol, but seriously, gas is major expensive here and I'm not sure we can make that kind of trip, it'd be fun, though! I wish we were closer, but we're just north of Gävle! We're a Swedish/American family with 3 kids, two of which are bilingual, one is only 5 weeks oldm give him time, lol, and always looking for new caching friends! Don't let the svenska thing hold ya back on gc.se, I post there regularly in English and only get "yelled" at about it once a year or so!

I'm grateful for the precious little bundle that was born to us 9 days ago today. July 25 @ 13:30 Kevin David Olofsson was born in Hudiksvall, Sweden. He was 3035g/6.7lbs and 47cm long/18.5" and his 'big little' sister Caitlyn and big sister Hanna are just smitten...as are mamma and pappa! Kevin is our last baby, my body let me know this time that I was too old to do it again, sadly enough, but we're all over the moon happy to have him in our lives!

I'm not trying to be a smarta** here, but ditch the stroller unless you plan on buying a three wheeled type all-terrain one with air filled tires, and even then you'll fight with it. INSTEAD...go with a backpack type carrier. I highly recommend the Ergo or it's less expensive lookalike, the Patapum. We cache with our daughter who is now 3 in one and have done so since before she was a year old. It's lightweight and comfortable and she seems to love it. There are other models out there that look like regular backpacks and actually have frames, but for me those look heavy and uncomfortable to wear. Do a search on the forum for 'patapum' and you'll see a number of threads discussing them and the pro's and con's of other types of transport for the little ones. For what it's worth, our 3 year old, who incidentally LOVES to cache, does pretty well walking to a lot of caches, even terrain levels of 1.5 and 2. It just requires patience, the occasional kiss to the booboo when she does stumble, and pappa to carry her if she gets too tired (or put her in the lightweight, easily stowable Patapum ) Good luck and enjoy, kids and caching are a great combination and our little one even hides caches in the house to find! We found prolly our first 200 or so with a TomTom and STILL use it as a backup when we're out caching or city caching, otherwise, we've upgraded to an E-trex Venture that was given to us. Us the 'browse map' function, the little symbol on the top right will show you were you are if you tap it, and if the arrow stops moving, simply turn it off and back on again and it normally updates. We rarely have problems caching with ol' dependable Tom! We do try to be careful with it, and we keep it plugged in in the car between caches.

How does that attach to the tree?? I've got one of those fungus thingies down in my basement that the kidlet brought home, would like some instructions on how a cache was made and attached with it

Thank you for the kind words, both from me and from Hanna. I told her this morning about them and she was very touched. It's one of those things that parents dread, but do because they love their kids and I know how important a pet and special "friend" can be. It still broke my heart to hear her gulping sobs in bed last night, but there just isn't much you can do! Thanks again! I'll stop hijacking the thread, just wanted to say thank you!

Mr Mousekakat is studying theology to become a priest in the Swedish Church, Evangelical Lutheran. He's about 1/3 to 1/2 through his studies, although working full time, so it's going at a CRAWL. Already holding sermons at our little village church since the priest out here is on sick leave. He can't perform the sacraments yet, but is already 'approved' to lead a service.

I like my eggs with different metal bases, but especially in copper and with a cute little chicken wearing a cowboy hat on them!! Very much, actually! Pity we can't get the store here in Sweden to see it that way, lol!
