  2. We just bought a Acer Iconia but I'm willing to take it back and exchange it for an IPAD.
  3. The GPS doesn't have a memory card, but the tablet has a USB connection. Will that work?
  4. Is there any way to download a PQ into an IPAD or other Tablet PC and then load it into my GPS using GSAK or another program? Basically I'd like to use an IPAD or tablet instead of a laptop.
  5. The little rubber grommet over the on/off switch on my Garmin 60CSx is worn off. I have to use a pen to turn it on and it's getting harder and harder. I understand Garmin does not sell parts, and it's probably more cost effective to buy a new one than send it in for repairs since this one is over five years old. Is this something that is easily fixed if I bought an old broken unit off eBay? I'm pretty handy, but I don't want to get it apart and not be able to put it back together again. Thanks for any insights.
  6. I have a bunch of places in New York City saved to a map in Google Maps for an upcoming vacation (restaurants, theater, museums, etc.). Does anyone know if there is a way to download them into a Garmin 60csx? They are saved by name and address rather than coordinates. I am using Mapsource and GSAK. Thanks, Rich
  7. Mushtang's method using Mapsource worked great. Thanks for everyone's input.
  8. I've tried this several time and keep getting the dreaded Yellow Page that says "Server Error in '/' Application". I've tried adding every combination of coordinate tags from the second route to the first, i.e. just the yellow ones, yellow and green, yellow, green and red, etc. The Route tag seems to be the difference. If I only leave the original Route Tag, it only uploads the original route. If I add the second Route Tag to the first, I get the error. The total route length is less than 400 miles with only a dozen turns.
  9. I'm trying to use Google Earth to map a route so I can run a pocket query on it. However, Google Earth and I differ on the way I want to go. I've resorted to picking cities farther along the route until it finally redraws the route I want, but I end up missing a major portion of the route. I can do it using Google Maps by adding a destination, but this feature doesn't seem to exist in Google Earth. Anyone know how to make Google Earth go the way I want to go?
  10. I just received my new 60CSX today. The Garmin website lists City Navigator V7 as compatible with the 60CSX, but not City Select V7. Is this true? Where is the cheapest place to purchase on line? Thanks
  11. I don't mean any offense by this, so please be gentle, but what do you use your All Finds PQ for? How is this any different than clicking on All Cache Finds under My Profile? What am I missing? Clark
  12. In a couple of weeks I will be driving from Clemson SC to Atlanta airport on I-85. I have not found any caches in Georgia, so I would like to add it to my list of states. I am looking for an easy to find, easy to get to cache. I will have limited time to catch the plane and will have two collegues with me who have never been Geocaching. Thanks
  13. My Magellan has to be initialized for the state I'm in. If yours has the same feature, make sure it is set correctly.
  14. I use a SporTrak Map GPSr and MapSend Streets and Destinations. In order to get Waypoints from my Pocket Query to MapSend, I have to download them to Easy GPS, then into the GPSr and then from the GPSr to MapSend. Does anybody know how to cut out the middle man and go straight from Easy GPS to MapSend. Thanks
  15. I run a query or search by zip code and I get a list of caches, 20 caches per page. I can open every cache on the first page no problem. But, whenever I open a cache on page 2 or beyond, and hit the back button, I get the dreaded White Page with "The page cannot be displayed" along with a long list of things to do to fix the problem, none of which work. When I hit refresh, it always goes back to the first page of the list, even if I was on page 3, 4, 5, etc. This just started a week or so ago. It is happening on both my computers. I am running Internet Explorer and Window XP. Can someone help me before I go insane
  16. Whenever I place a new cache, the web page shows 1 Account Watching This Cache, so I assume that is me. Yet, some cache pages don't have anybody Watching the Cache. If the owner is automatically watching the cache, how come some caches have no watchers?
  17. We found a cache in Cozumel in August called the Crazy Parrot (or something like that). It was across the street from one cruise pier and a $5 taxi ride from the other. It was quick and easy and our first international cache.
  18. We are booked up until the end of June, but it sounds like fun. We had OKC on our short list of places to go for a long weekend of caching. We'll keep checking back to see what's going on.
  19. I just became a Premium Member today and I am having a very hard time downloading cache pages into my iPAQ Pocket PC. I created a Pocket Query and I downloaded the waypoints into EasyGPS and from there into my SporTrak Map GPSr. I also downloaded GpxView into the Pocket PC. How do I get the Cache Pages onto the Pocket PC so I can read them? I have read just about every post on the subject, but I still can't figure it out. Thanks
