  1. Search the forums, there's a couple of good ones around. If you end up making your own my advise would be to stay within the logo usage guidelines. I got into a little bit of trouble on my first version on this... I didn't put this in the physical cache, this was just meant to stay on the cache page itself.
  2. Great thread!! It took me most of the evening to read. I'm new and naive... but the original thread poster has over 19,000 post and I haven't seen a moderator with anything close, so I'm not sure they know more about the people and workings on the forum. Just my two cents, please attack me nicely.
  3. I recently had someone change their DNF to a Find, and the cache totals still listed it as a DNF. How come when you editing a log from a DNF to a Find, the log totals don't update? I hope that make sense.
  4. I think the "cache" part of the post was more tongue in cheek. Plus he said "could occur".. Anyway, thanks for sharing ... those are some truly amazing pictures.
  5. I logged on from another computer that had 800x600 resolution and the image was huge and taking up most of the cache page. Mines 1280x768 so it's look fine.. But I did resize it, added a faint North America map to the background and fixed the logo seal. As far as the Groundspeak logo, I thought about that.. but I'm not selling or using it anywhere besides on geocaching.com. I figure it's like user avators... some have a modified version of the geocaching logo. But if asked (or told) I'll remove it quickly. Thanks for the input everyone!
  6. Hey Daryl, As a new cache owner I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to try and let the owner know.
  7. Agreed.. Mind if your idea gets "Borrowed"? No of course not. That'd be great, I'd like to see more. I'm not ready to make the psd file public yet, but I'm willing to customize this one for people if they want.
  8. I've just hidden my first cache (it's still in review) but I've created an FTF award for the cache page... once I have a winner. But I was wondering if anyone else has done something similar? If so, do you mind showing it off here? Here's mine... the cache name is "This is Sparta: Greek Numberals" [image removed by moderator.]
  9. I haven't hidden a cache yet (that's been published) but you could use something like mixmap to at least show you the location of the people viewing your cache. That's what I plan on using on my cache thats waiting for review. Just a thought.
  10. Geospartan I was in the audienc too on Sat night. Do you remember the crazy lady and her partner from NJ that they gave the poster too, well that was me. Yep I played the online game and collected all the character cards, even won one of the treaasure boxes, hid two for the game myself and yes finally flew from NJ to seattle to see the premier. see my review & photos here http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?arti...281474977111265 Oh wow, yeah I totally remember. You two were sitting to the right, in the back of the main floor setting. My girlfriend and I were sitting all the way to the left on the main floor setting. And we looked at each other and did say "who are those two crazy people from NJ". lol I've told several people about the movie, the theater, and the two who flew all the way from NJ. I read your review and it sounded professional and was very well done, except for "the roads are screwy in Washington" and in all fairness, pear and lavender flavored pizza sounded extremely gross to me too. It was our first time there and it was an experience. I'm not too sure we'll ever go back, that is unless I bring my own ice or they make "GPS the movie 2".
  11. Sorry but you need a My Finds Pocket Query for these to run. $3 dollars please... I don't think thats not entirely true.... I know with cachestats it is, but I don't think so with the StatGen3 macro for GSAK. With GSAK, you could add each GPX individually and still run the macro right? Because sometimes I don't wait the 7 days to run a My Finds Pocket Query, I just add the caches individually via each GPX, and they are there when I output my stats. I don't know if some info missing or what, but it looks like it works. And it should work for non premium members.
  12. I love your books He might be A Dan Brown..... but I dont think he's THE Dan Brown, his pics on his geopage don't look like the Dan Brown that wrote the Da Vinci Code. Unless there's another famous Dan Brown.
  13. I was wondering, when creating a puzzle cache, how far away should the listed coords be from the actual cache? I've seen some that are a couple miles and I was just wondering.
  14. Garmin support told me, via email, that v7 would work with the 60csx, I would assume the 60cs would work, but that is an assumption.
  15. I would 2nd that 100%! But personally, I'm not so concerned about the four legged animals as I am the two legged ones.
  16. Ditto. I loved the new map and cant wait for it to come back.
  17. You could always just use your Stat Bar
  18. I saw it in Seattle Saturday night. It was a good indy film and worth seeing if you're a cacher. There's a t thread in the Northwest section of this forum and it's getting getting reviews.
  19. Team_Wilson..... Yes, anyone who buys CN between May 1, 2007 and present can upgrade for free, according to support when I talked to them last week. I also sent you a P.M.
  20. MapSource City Navigator North America and NT are on the list. Those other Gamin units have the maps preinstalled, not like the 60csx, thats why there on the list.. so your CN v8 is covered. If you look on mygarmin at your 60csx properties, you'll see that your CN is listed there, it's not list as a separate registered item. I have a 60csx also and I too bought CN v8 in June. I looked on the website and couldn't find the free update so I called. They sent it out to me and I had it within a few days.
  21. We went to the 9:30 showing last night and I was very impressed by it. It was funny, kind of scary... oh yeah, I'm never going caching unarmed again. It was our first time to Central Cinema, which was very cool.. pizza and beer!!! My main problem was the beer wasn't cold enough... and I ordered a soda with extra ice and it was warm with two small cubes. Anyway, it's about the movie not the place..... every cacher should go see this flick. I wonder how accurate those waypoints are????? I think it'd be cool to try them out. I didn't say for the full credits so I didn't see any code.
  22. I just recieved and installed CN 2008NT Update, but it leaves v8 on my computer which is 1.2G. Is it okay to uninstall v8?
  23. I signed up the same way and it took mine 3 working days before mine was upgraded to a premium membership.... it seemed like forever.
  24. Thanks for the info guys!! I couldn't find the link on the site so I called support... my call was answered right away which caught me off guard, I'm used to 45+mins with Sprint. He logged in as me and said it wasn't there but that I was eligible so he put it in the system himself and said it would go out today or Monday. I love Garmin... Sprint should follow their model.
