  1. I listened to the segment over the phone -- Thanks, Squealy! Sounded AWESOME and of course I was excited to hear VERMONT mentioned... 12:50, a.m.?? Oh, boy. Great job, Joe, can't wait to see the tape.
  2. This article appeared in the Albany Times Union this morning. A friend of mine sent it to me. Features some cachers from that area including Mugsy's favorite from those haunts: Rusty O Junk. Enjoy!
  3. The first morning I woke up in Bennington I put the tv on to see what was going on in the world and somehow heard SUBWAY PROBLEMS for NYC. We also had NYC WB for the longest time. Of course not anymore, which means I don't get to watch it tonight! Grrrrrrr....
  4. Here's what I want to know... if all of you are eating ribs and drinking beer, who's going to be home watching the WB to get those coords?? Badger, badger mushroom!
  5. The above post would have been much more effective had I not forgotten to check to see WHO was signed in on this computer!
  6. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Totally made my morning... and now I can start harassing my brother with it once again
  7. So I was reminding Neil of things of our youth, one being this public service announcement that used to be on ALL the time when I was a kid. I used to sing it to my brother who attempted to kill me on more than one occassion because of it. Now, I have NEVER met another person who knows it other than myself, but Squealy does, but his off tune singing is not helping charge my synapses. So it's up to you guys. First, do you remember it? Second, do you have a picture? Third, do you have the song? Like an mp3 or wav or something. It was a tipped over prescription meds bottle with these little blue pill puppets fallen out and they sang a song to the affect of: No, we're not candy Even though we look so fine and dandy when you're sick we come in handy but -- we're not candy oooooh nooooo... I'll make a blue pill cache on LI if anyone can help us out Thanks, Cz HELP!!!!!!!!!
  8. Yes, folks, we thought it would happen on his jaunt to Atlanta, but today was actually the lucky day for Squealy. Glad I finally got to be there for one of the big numbers! Congrats, and many more! Cz
  9. all that disagreement had better not be with me being special... grrrrrrrr...
  10. Thanks, Z-man... and I don't even have any caches hidden on the island... guess I'm just special See you all out there... hide some out by Oyster Bay!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Mugsy the Gimpy GeoDog and I are definitely getting the travelled furtherst prize. Hopefully she'll be able to join us for this event... she's doing pretty well, but tires easily, still. I'm praying she'll be back to using the leg full time by your event, otherwise she's staying with my mom.
  12. Congrats, Neil. Wish I could have been there.
  13. "Quick Pick Me Up" is a quick, fun, unique cache that shows just how stealthy you have to be when doing the urban caching thing. Try zip 10128 when looking it up. Have fun!
  14. Heading to Nashville area for a few days to see my mom's relatives. My cousin and I might camp out one night and do some "big" hikes. Any suggestions on awesome hikes and cheap campgrounds?
  15. I'm also heading to Cacheville this summer to visit my mom's family. Won't have a huge amount of time but my cousin and I want to camp out at least one night and spend one day doing some cool hikes. Soooo... if anyone can suggest a nice CHEAP campground, and some more cool caches, I'd appreciate it.
  16. If you're going to bust on us at least use correct grammar! it's "they're" not "their"
  17. What?!?!?!? Where did you dig that up?!?!?!? 5,000 TB's ain't gonna take up anymore space than anything else on the website, in fact, the extra 5,000 YJTB's are gonna take up less space than a regular, as Jeremy posted in the other thread. Why does this idea of caching for a Jeep bother you? Are you mad that you aren't going to win one, so you put the whole idea down? You need to chill, Sparky. It's called humor. Like hahaha. You're not in Kansas anymore...
  18. There's no leaderboard because all the server space is being used for those ridiculous FIVE THOUSAND yellow jeep TBs.
  19. I was tempted to "Markwell" and refer everyone to "Stop the Whoring of GeoCaching", but I decided not to be obnoxious. It's great that Jeep thinks GeoCaching is a fun and exciting and healthy and thrilling activity. I agree. I don't, however, agree with FOUR THOUSAND new TB's. Part of what I love about GCing is the creativity. I've found the COOLEST TBs, from a piece of the World Trade Center complete with CD containing photos and music, to travelling logbooks containing poems. FOUR THOUSAND of the same thing? Oy. Double oy. I mean, come on... the "Yellow Jeep" locationless got archived due to taking up too much room on the server... won't FOUR THOUSAND new listings do the same thing? Would winning a new car be nice? Yes. Would finding a yellow jeep travel bug? Certainly. But I just think it's excessive. Cookie cutter caching is not for me. I love travel bugs as much as the next cacher... but FOUR THOUSAND identical items are boggling my mind. Will I still cache? Yes. Will I still love it just as much? Yes. But FOUR THOUSAND? Hmph.
  20. Sounds like fun... do it on a weekend so I can come down!
  21. So when does Vermont get it's own approver? And what's up with the cloak and dagger routine? I think the admins should all use symbols, or barcodes for their names... and should have to shave their heads and have a secret handshake. Joe, if it IS you, congrats. If not, I've got a few guesses of my own.
  22. Oh, my. Keep him away from Neil, please.
  23. Hi, all. My first TB (Curious George sees America is in L.A. or nearby. He's with a cacher who livesout there.I just emailed her with request to get him moving toward Vegas. It's not a huge deal, however my friend and fellow cacher will be in Vegas from the 15-18 for a bachelor party and is hoping to hit the red rocks caches.I'm hoping he and George can hook up. It's not a huge deal, but if you see him and can move him toward Vegas we'd all really appreciate it! Thanks! Czarniecki314
