  1. Mine comes from an RPG name generator because I'm terrible at coming up with nicknames on my own. I used it in a few online games, mainly Asheron's Call.
  2. Hello, Would it be possible to change the tab order on the home page so that after you enter your password and hit tab, the focus then moves to the "Remember Me" box instead of the "Go" button? That's how the behavior is set on the actual login page (http://www.geocaching.com/login/). I think it would make the home page a little easier to navigate. Thanks! Cademair
  3. Hello! Looking for Jan. 2008 GCC ROT13 coin, yellow/black preferred, SE ok. I'm new to collecting geocoins though, so I have nothing yet to trade. Anyone willing to sell one? Thanks!
  4. The one I have my eye on has yellow enamel on the front, and black on the back. Not sure if that is the regular or SE version. The only problem is I'm new to geocaching and geocoins, and I have a grand total of zero in my collection. Would you be willing to sell one?
  5. Yep, that's it. I guess I'll have to ask myself how much I really want it.
  6. Hmmm - where did my original post go?? Very strange. What it said in a nutshell: I've been looking at tons of geocoin websites recently, and saw a coin that I wanted to buy, but I can't remember where I saw it. The coin is a trackable ROT13 decoder, bottle opener, and keychain all-in-one. Anyone know where this might be sold at? Thanks again!
  7. Thanks for the tips. After digging deeper, it looks like I could help a couple of the coins in my area along to their goals while on vacation. I'll check in with the owners and see if they mind me holding on to the coins for a little while. Thanks again!
  8. Hello again! A couple more noob questions. When taking a geocoin (or travel bug for that matter) from a cache with the intent of moving it along, is it generally practiced to leave another trinket/token behind? I know the principle with swag is usually if you take something, you should leave something of similar value. I wasn't sure if this applied to trackable items as well. And question #2. I'm going on vacation in a couple of months and there are a few coins in my area that I'd like to help move along. Is it acceptable to get them now and hold onto the coins for a period of time before placing in a new cache, or would it be better to wait until right before I leave and see if the coins are still there? Thanks again!
  9. Thanks for all the good advice! I like the look of the USA coin, but I'll take a look around the other sites linked from geocaching.com as well. Maybe I'll check eBay as a last resort . I'm hoping to stay away from catching the geocoin bug - from what I've read here, it can get expensive real fast! Don't think I could justify that to the wife just yet.
  10. Hello, I'm new to Geocaching/coings, and I'm looking for a somewhat generic, trackable geocoin to use for "dipping". I'm thinking of something with the geocaching.com or Groundspeak logos on it. Where might I find a coin like this? Does Groundspeak ever put out their own geocoins? Thanks!
  11. Try copying the .exe file directly to your PocketPC then running the install from there. I don't think it's the type of install that uses ActiveSync to install to your PDA.
  12. Works like a charm! I didn't think to run the extra step to create a filter. I figured just setting the user flag would be good enough. I thought about having my whole database with me, but I'm not sure how easy it would be to scroll through the list and find what I'm looking for with a small PDA screen. I might give it a try though and see how it goes. Thanks again for your help!
  13. Hello, I've decided to give paperless caching a try, and I have a question about GSAK. What I'd like to do is: - Use GSAK to load and sort through my pocket queries, and keep track of my finds - Each time I go geocaching, export gpx with only the waypoints I want to look for that session - Use my iPaq GPSr with Cachemate (or GPS Tuner) to hunt for a day's worth of caches. The problem is, when I go to export the gpx file from GSAK, I can't find a way to only export a couple of waypoints. It seems to want to export the whole database. I've tried playing with the user flags, but that doesn't seem to get what I want. My iPaq isn't seen by GSAK as a valid "Send to GPS" device either, hence the gpx export option. Is there a better way to accomplish what I'm trying to do? Thanks for helping a newb!
  14. Hello, I downloaded a copy of GPS Tuner for WM5 to evaluate, and was wondering how to save my default map setting. I go into the map settings and pick "Google Maps" from the drop down list, and it works for that session. When I close GPS Tuner and restart it though, it just gives me "blank map" and I have to change it back to Google Maps again. Is there a way to save this setting? Thanks!
