    Para mim este fórum continua exactamente no mesmo lugar. Uso o fórum de sempre com frequência diária, e de vez em quando lembro-me de vir espreitar aqui. Se houver algo de interesse a correr, participo, senão... não. Não uso o terceiro fórum porque já seria dispersão de mais para a minha gestão de tempo e de atenção. Para além de não considerar o Geocaching uma área tão rica que possa alimentar esta multiplicidade de forma fértil.

    Se calhar terias evitado a perda de tempo da poll...

     

    Respeitar a vontade expressa da comunidade para escolher a Geocoin Portuguesa de 2009, nunca seria uma perda de tempo.

    Essa vontade ficou bem representada na proposta escolhida pela maioria dos votos.

     

    Esta é apenas uma geocoin, como outras que brevemente surgirão, já que gostava de criar uma certa cadência na produção de geocoins, mas para isso preciso de ter quem as possa querer.

    Este post pretende apenas aferir dessa apetência... nada mais.

    Apesar de a ideia parecer muito altruísta, soa-me como uma ideia requentada para uma moeda que esteve para ser a escolhida para a de Portugal 2009 e que há última da hora foi vencida ao sprint quando deu o toque a reúnir dos adeptos da moeda concorrente...

    Não é necessário que te soe a nada... está explícito na primeira frase do post inicial :D

    De resto, toda e qualquer proposta vencida, pode sempre ser levada avante... desde que haja apetência por parte dos eventuais interessados.

    Lembro que em 2008 passou-se exactamente o mesmo... a moeda que ficou em 2º lugar na votação, também foi cunhada. E é toda a comunidade geocacher que lucra com isso.

     

    Se paralelamente pudermos fazer bem a terceiros, parece-me uma boa mais-valia.

    Most of you are aware of the recent floods that destroy part of the Madeira island.

    This geocoin wants to give some help on the reconstruction.

    Part of the price will be donate to an institution of the island.

    Após pequenas alterações numa das recentes propostas para uma geocoin nacional, ocorreu-me que poderiamos dar o nosso contributo enquanto comunidade de geocachers, para a reconstrução da Madeira.

    A ideia é que parte do preço desta nova geocoin seja entregue a uma instituição de carácter social da região autónoma.

    Assim sendo, deixo o desenho e o desafio, no sentido de aferir da vossa apetência para esta ideia.

    Por acaso tenho prestado alguma atenção a esse assunto, e creio que há 2 teams relativamente activos que são emigrantes:

    Por vezes acompanho alguns logs deles. Se conheceres mais algum acrescenta :anibad: .

     

    Os 2cachefix não são tugas... já os contactei para uma entrevista e confirmaram não o ser, nem ele, nem ela.

    Estou com um probLema.....

     

    Por engano logei um TB numa cash errada, andei ás voltas mas não consegui anular a entrada do TB na cash.

    Como anulo o registo?

     

    Primeiro começa por chamar-lhe cache...

    Depois fazes o Retrieve desse TB da cache onde fizeste o Drop.

    De seguida fazes o Drop na cache correcta.

    Geocache Owner Notification

    For each email notification I receive, I send another to the geocacher that found one of our caches, thanking him for the visit.

     

    It never occurred me not to receive those emails... keep them coming!

     

    PS: Some more days and I will receive an email notification of the 4000th found in one of our caches... I intend to give a prize to the lucky geocacher :)

    I don't look at logging what you did at the event as "credit." Credit for what? If you go to a party do you get "credit?"

     

    Agree...

    Normaly, instead of credit we have a pile of troubles organizing it, days, weeks or months before.

    I did and will log my own events, because an event is about "being there, meeting people, talk and socialize"

     

    ...

    An event is logged as "attended", and the owner attended it. It's so to speak not a found it log in the original sense.

    A puritan may point out that you can't find something you hid but you can attend an event you have organized. I have been to many events where the cache owner did not attend because of last minute family obligation that came up. Since you can clearly not attend your events, it seems that you should log attended if you do manage to attend your event. I also see lots of events organized by a group of cachers. Often the owner is an account created just for the event. Should the cachers who actually planned and hosted the event not log attended on there account?

     

    A non-puritan would wonder why you care whether or not someone logs their own cache or their own event. :)

     

    I'm not deffending either thing... not judging what is wrong or right (puritan or non-puritan)... just asking for opinions.

    The flaw in your question is the assertion that "most of us dont log Found on our own caches, but log Attended on our own events"

     

    Without statistics but based on my experience with cachers "most" of us don't log Attended on our own events.

     

    Thank you... I have made a correction.

     

    (Even so, here it's common to log own events)
