    Não faz sentido a comparação entre um GPS dedicado para geocaching, e apps para telemóveis.

    Podendo chegar a bons níveis de proximidade com um telemóvel, há que levar em conta que será sempre necessário ter um serviço de dados... e pagá-lo.

    Um GPS trabalha com o software instalado, sem estar dependente de qualquer serviço de telecomunicações, garantindo também por isso, uma maior fiabilidade... e o tempo de vida das baterias é incomparável com um telemóvel.

    Poderia referir também que um GPS outdoor, é fabricado com materiais resistentes a choque, quedas, submersão em água, lama, etc.

    Finalmente, a recolha de coordenadas para a colocação de uma nova cache, tem de ser feita com um GPS.

     

    Por fim, o ideal mesmo é usar ambos... cada um para a sua função essencial <_<

    so does the grey one still means its in the cache

     

    According to the logs, yes.

    But it can happen that in reality the trackable are no longer on the cache, if somebody take it without logging yet... or ever.

    A sad thing that happens often, unfortunately.

    I'm not interested in when it was placed, but rather when it was last found.

     

    I bet that you can get some good results, if you set the field "That (And)", together with a large date margin on "Placed During".
