  1. Here in Georgia we have continued to have events through most of this CDC soft coup.
  2. I am not saying it doesn't happen. In fact, the main reason I ran into this was my own misunderstanding. With that said, each reviewer will do what they will.
  3. Not so, the OP stated that all the coordinated would be listed. A multi is specifically setup that you need to go to each stage, get information to go to the next stage, repeat until you are at final. By listing all stages in advance, that is not required, bypassing the "geocacher gathers information that leads them to the next stage" part.
  4. If all locations are listed in advance, it is a Puzzle. A Multi is set to go from point A to B to C. Quote from the guidelines: "A Multi-Cache includes at least one stage in addition to the physical final stage. The posted coordinates are a stage of the Multi-Cache. At each stage, the geocacher gathers information that leads them to the next stage or to the final container. "
  5. I have published one Wherigo that used a synchronization of between the WIG cart and an Arduino.. Upon completing the Wherigo portion, you were given a code based on the current time/date. This code was good for a 15 minute window. The final was in a large Tough Box that was magnetically locked. To release the two mag locks, the code was entered on an exterior key pad. There were additional steps after opening the door, going back and forth between the WIG cart and the Arduino data collection systems.
  6. I was rather afraid that would be the norm as people rushed to publish. I do hope the first one I put out does not fall into that category.
  7. The interview was done under a Non Disclosure. Until that is lifted, sorry..
  8. I did get to do the Survey/Interview. It was a very candid Q&A session about Wherigo.
  9. While I can not answer the question about transportation, I can tell you that there are no longer any geocaches in cemeteries managed/maintained by the city of Savannah. All of them were archived at the request of the city a few years back. The affected cemeteries are: Bonaventure, Greenwich, Colonial Park and both halves of Laurel Grove. Of course, the history and beauty of the cemeteries is still there to be enjoyed.
  10. Or, as I did when I went to war, you can get a new country added to your find count.
  11. Currently, the WIG does not account for it. I got lazy and did not attempt to code a function to determine DST/notDST
  12. At a basic level, the WIG builds a 7 digit code based on 2 digits each for Day of the Month, Hour, Minute and a single letter (A, B, C or D) randomly tossed in. This is done at the final zone, which is at the location of the [GADGET]. The Arduino has a Real Time Clock attached and a keypad on the front door. The code has a +/- 1 Hour & 15 minute window built into the Arduino programing. (The hour is because I got lazy and did not want to mess with daylight savings time).
  13. I have published a WIG cartridge that is part of an Arduino powered [GADGET] cache. I used Date & Time to make an access code on the WIG that is accepted for a 15 minute period at the cache final that disengages magnetic locks. Was looking to see if anyone else has worked along these lines.
  14. At least in the US, it seems to be done. Not finding anything on OCONUS listings. http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=603
  15. On the cache page in question, find your log, in the bottom right corner of that log entry you should see a link "View / Edit Log / Images". Click the link, then you can click the red trash can that will be on the following page.
  16. I did not see it mentioned yet, so.. I believe "Looping" is referring to the "Project-GC" web site. The site allows you to do searches and adding a "Loop" will add depth to the search. Each loop requiring an additional find for each place in a grid.
  17. I volunteered for 10 days of hard labor in the Republic of Georgia on the off chance I could get to a cache.
  18. If we are going to define, perhaps using something such as Merriam-Webster is a better choice. : the day when someone was born or the anniversary of that day : the day when something began
  19. When I looked at the cache, I had the same thought you did. It stated Birthday, which in my understanding is the day you are born and each of the same day of the year from that point forward. I was about to write out three special to me FTFs. Now that I have looked at the cache and the "clarification", it seems to be an EXTRA bit of rule and not a Clarification. As such, it can be argued that it is invalid. Good luck, as this cacher seems to be exempt from certain issues.
  20. Hmm, I know that kid... Err, that type of kid.
  21. It took me just shy of 11 years to find caches in all 159 Georgia counties. Was a real solid feeling of accomplishment when I signed the Challenge log.
  22. Additional points to consider when creating a challenge geocache: 10. A challenge geocache must be attainable without the need to email the owner. The container should be located at the posted coordinates on the geocache page, or if a puzzle, the geocache page must include the means to calculate the coordinates of the container.
  23. Wherigo\\kit was just the thing to show me what I was doing wrong. Or at the very least, better ways of doing a couple of things. With it, I was able to finally finish up a WiG cartridge for an up coming event.
