  1. I personally tend to enjoy front yard caches. Ya they are still akward to me but I have found 4 of them and in a big city like the one I live in(Phoenix, AZ) they tend to be the only ones that arent micros. You can also always count on that they will be muggle free and have good trading items as well as plenty of trackables. All the ones I have found have been really noticeable and you could tell the cache was in that person's yard easily by the description on the cache page. I personally think they are a good break from the typical city micro.
  2. I have found 5 front yard caches. They are my second favorite cache in the city next to the very clever shopping center multi's, hahaha. I have 4 under block steps in the yards and 1 was a big box nailed to there carport with a combination lock on it.
  3. Ive owned a Garmin Legend for about 3 weeks and I love it so far. It does have a serial port connection but that is the only problem I could see for a regular geocacher.
  4. Only one time and that was a couple months after 9/11
  5. I went to PBR last night at the Jobing.com Arena and I am probably going to Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on August 3rd
  6. Im lucky enough not to have too many mosquitos where I live, AZ because it is so dry but ya man that looks pretty bad
  7. I was wondering if anyone knows if security will let you bring a gps into an arena for a concert or a sports event. I went to Professional Bull Riding last night and there were some caches in the area around the arena but I didnt know if they would let me bring my gps into the place because I didnt want to leave it in the car so I just didnt bring it.
  8. I was on my local FFA(Future Farmers of America) camping trip we take evry year and one of my teachers and his wife brought their gps and one day when a couple of buddies and I were about to go on this hike down this creek that I make it a point to go on every time I am at the location. Well we were right about to take off and my teacher said: Wait up we are heading that way too. So while we were walking to the area where we start our hike the teacher and his wife were telling me about this thing called geocaching and how its alot of fun and another good reason to go hiking. He then said that one was back where I usually take my hike, so they tagged along and we got about 20 feet away from the cache and my teacher told me to find it. Well sure enough, within three minutes I found it. We took some pictures and he told me about the website and I should do it and here I am today.
  9. I dont know I think there could be a few exceptions and legitimate reasons why someone did not sign a log. The one that comes to mine is if the person didnt have anything to write with. I know that most caches that dont have a pen/cil in them say to bring a writing stick but just because someone says something doesn't mean the person is going to remeber or follow it
