  1. No... freaking...way... Still laughing at this one!!!
  2. Not that it matters, but after a few minutes of investigation, I found out that the "buttons" that I needed to hit for these log deletions are always in the same place on the screen! (Relative to my screen resolution, of course.) Well, I just threw together a short AutoIT script and got them all deleted in about 4 hours without me having to click anything! So now I feel better. *laugh*
  3. That's a super idea! I've also been trying some things with GSAK, but it all seems a bit pointless at the moment. Maybe later, you know? Thanks!
  4. *laugh* LOVE the Dr Horrible ones! The look on NPH's face is the one I always have while caching!
  5. Is there a way to delete TB logs en masse? I was using a bug as a cache database and for some reason didn't think it would bother someone to have the solution to their cache on my TB. Well, that was my stupidity and I have learned from my mistake. However, I would like to "clear" the bug of any logs quickly and cleanly. Any help would be great! Thanks!
  6. Is it currently possible to save the drving directions created by the new Driving Directions feature as an actual route for use with the Find Caches Along A Route feature? It looks like the Driving Directions feature opens up the Google Maps routing program, but I have no idea if it is possible to actually save this route. Sorry if this has already been covered. Thanks!
  7. That's a great idea for a theme cache, especially if you have a rather large group of gamers in your area! What a great way to get them caching! If you REALLY want to make a RPG and involve caching (or at least GPS's) you should check out Wherigo. You do need some additional equipment, but you can put together really neat adventures in your own back yard!
  8. Here's a nice little useless term: Pokecacher. Derived from the Pokemon catch phrase "You gotta catch em all!" it's a cacher who likes to get all the caches in a area for various reasons. My own personal reason for this would be to make the map on my GPS less cluttered! *grin*
  9. Yeah, I guessed as much. Thanks!
  10. I cheat a little and stamp my own. That way I can get a HUGE number of nickels for dirt cheap. Stamper: 400R ($23.99 includes shipping.) http://www.rubberstampchamp.com/storefront...mp;hidfaceid=51 Go to: add & customize then, Manufacturing, then click on the add & customize below the picture. There you can customize with your own text and clip art. They are very helpful on the phone if you need help. Nickel blanks: Item # M0296 http://www.woodcrafter.com/index.asp?PageA...0296&Page=1
  11. I have a friend who wanted me to ask whether it's possible to somehow reuse a name that has been invalidated by the user. This would be for starting a new account. Thanks!
  12. I had a geocaching dream last night where I had found a magnetic nano. I got the log out and signed the log, no problem. But I just couldn't get the darn log back in! I rolled and rolled and rolled and no matter how tightly I got it wound up, I couldn't fit it in the cache! I woke up in a cold sweat!
  13. The song at the end of the trailer was great. I happen to cache with a guy named Andrew too!!!
  14. Perfect! Thank you much!!
  15. Is there such a thing as TB adoption? I have one that I activated a while back and would like my wife to have it. Any help would be welcome! Thanks!
  16. "Ok, the offset cache is 100 feet west of the big tree... er..." "We found the cache! But we'd better check for ticks..."
  17. We've got several different groups in my area trying to solve this, but none of us can seem to wade through the trivial aspects to figure out the puzzle. Obviously it's possible the trivia IS the solution to the puzzle, but personally, I have no idea. If anyone wants to help out with this, you can write to me directly. Not too sure how the owner would feel about having this on the forum itself. I will of course share ideas via email. Thanks to all who give it a shot! GC1BKVW
  18. You answered my question, indirectly. Two reasons I didn't like to load more than 500 caches in one area: 1) I go around several areas and with those 800 caches I fill up my GPS before I even leave here. And 2) I didn't realize until you told me that GSAK stores more than 1000! Serves me right for not RTFM! Anyway, I went ahead and loading everything in the areas that I typically play. As expected, it filled in the finds nicely (obviously.) Then, I did the smart thing: I filtered the database! Duh! I can't believe I forgot that I could do that! With everything loaded and filtering, it worked exactly as I wanted it to! Thanks for your help!
  19. Let me see if I can sum this problem up without being too confusing... Obviously, I use GSAK. It recently occured to me that I could "overwrite" the already existing database without having to delete it every time. Yes, I know, it was silly to delete it, but honestly I never really did any modification on GSAK. I realize now by using the overwrite I can get more than 5 logs into the offline HTML of the caches (and subsequently onto my Cachemate on my Palm Pilot) which is what I was shooting for. My question is this. I setup my pocket queries to list caches in the area that I haven't found and that are active. However, when I put this query into my existing GSAK database, my finds are not logged as found. Ok, admittedly, I could adjust them in GSAK manually, but I was wondering if there was a way to get around this. Yes, I can search for all caches in the area, including finds, but within a 10 mile radius of here, we have something along the lines of 800 caches... mostly micros, but here's not the place to complain about that! *grin* Anyway, any help is appreciated! Thanks!
  20. That sounds like a plan. If he posts anything... well, threatening I will contact a reviewer. In the meantime, I'll just keep deleting posts. Thanks!
  21. No, I don't mean the kind I had in my bedroom in the 80's... My question was, is there any admin recourse or something a cache owner can do about a person continually posting rude comments on one's cache page? To sum up my problem, I have a cacher who is posting rude comments to other cachers on one of my cache pages. People are commenting that it's nice to see a cache that's not a micro PNG in the area that I live. If any finder says something specifically bad about some other cacher, I ask them to edit their post. But this particular guy is taking EVERY comment to be a stab against him and leaving comments to the people posting. And he hasn't found the cache yet! Now I'm not part of this fight at all. In fact I enjoy hunting his caches and the other PNG's around the area. I just had a really good idea for a puzzle cache and put it out, never expecting it to cause this much trouble! Right now, if I see a rude post, I delete it. If it's a comment in a find I ask them to edit it. Everyone has been very accomodating so far, except for this guy. I have sent him several emails asking him nicely to knock it off and let people have fun. There's more to the story but I won't go into here. Just wondering if there's anything I can do about this besides just delete his posts if I see them. Speaking of puzzle caches, is there anywhere in the forums that one can go to brag about caches? *grin* Thanks! Wumpus
  22. For me, it's the fear of getting caught. A little gunshy since I got stopped by three cops while geocaching. Mind you, this is urban caching we're talking about and not always in the best part of town. At least I'm not agraphobic.
