NASA’s Mars Rover Perseverance is trackable via Geocaching! (TB5EFXK)

Awesome!!!!! -
Awesome! I'm in!

We've found a couple of traditionals that had coordinates that were a decent ways off, and other cachers posting better ones in the description (Yes, I believe they had a needs maintenance on them) . I like to use the corrected coordinates feature for those, so we can have the right coordinates before we go out there How is correcting the coordinates on a mystery any different?

What custom swag do you like to see?

Pathtags are usually pretty cool, though expensive http://pathtags.com I personally like any kind of custom swag. There are lots of ideas here. | \/ -
Geocacher with hides in Multiple Countries
TmdAndGG replied to Geo-Sarge's topic in General geocaching topics
Team SageBrushers had over 24,000 caches. Doctor Alien only has 1000, and it seems like he's stopped there. The number of hides is not comparable. Team SageBrushers hid long power trails. Doctor Alien has them in clumps, but not power trails. Not comparable. Team SageBrushers had hid lots of every D/T rating, even 5/5s (All fake). Doctor Alien only has ratings of 2.5/1.5, which is not exactly perfectly accurate either, but at least the point isn't just to help loop fizzy grids. Terrain Rating is at least correct. Not comparable. Please tell me something comparable between Team SageBrushers and Doctor Alien. Thanks P.S. I feel like the reason that all of the Doctor Alien hides say that they were placed for the MidWest Geobash is because they actually are. Some sort of massive geo-art, or puzzle or something like that. Just my theory -
True, but Needs Reviewer Attention is still more accurate of a name.
-
Yup. That's why it really should be called Needs Reviewer Attention, instead of Needs Archived, which sounds too much like an immediate death sentence to a lot of players.

Why do you seem to think that reviewers are giving DoctorAlien special treatment? There is no reason for them to do that. And why are you so against Dr.Alien anyways? He's not breaking any rules. People play the game how they want. -
What do you mean is it still open? Can you post on it? Answer:Yes Well then it's still open!

Geocacher with hides in Multiple Countries
TmdAndGG replied to Geo-Sarge's topic in General geocaching topics
Only if you make it. -
Yup. On our AdLab, we gave out a final coordinate number corresponding to a letter ever time you complete a stage. On the final cache page, all you have to do is fill in the blanks. For example, if you learned that A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, and E=5, then you would replace those letters with their numbers. On the bonus cache, you would have a setup like this: E00 00.ABC W000 00.DE0 (or similar). Edit: Just saw Lynx Humble's other post above, saying basically the same thing... Oh well

Am I a jerk for removing FPs on archived caches?
TmdAndGG replied to Enjayen's topic in General geocaching topics
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you only take back favorite points from archived caches if you find another one that's more deserving? I can live with that Edit: Just saw @cerberus1's post now, who seem's to be taking it the other way. Could we get some clarification from @HunterandSamuel please? -

Or maybe Dr. Alien really is an alien who is using his spaceship to go around and hide and maintain his caches, and supernatural alien powers to temporarily mind-control the reviewer in order to get his hides published. Based on his profile photo it seems pretty likely. Just a thought -
All Hail the Mighty Statistics! Whatever. It's not like it affects me in any way.
-
Yeah, the app is really just meant for finding caches...
-
Sound's awesome! It wouldn't be doing anything against the guidelines.
-
There should be one last one: Your qualifying cache find must have been hidden on or after the date 5/2/2000.
-
That happened one time on one of our Gadget Caches... Grrr.
-
What kind of graphics? You can't add images.
-
Just test this with our AdLab. Yes, I do get an error message identical to the one in the OP for the custom access code when I try to add a space. The custom access code is not the title for your AL, but it is required, so I recommend making it the title of your AdLab just without spaces (No one will have to use the code, so you can really make it whatever you want). You can keep your description the way it is with spaces.

Never knew about that! The things you can learn from the forums!
