  1. Here's the official help center article on how to upload images to your cache page. https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=59 And here's a list of approved domains for cache page images. https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=956 And last but not least, here's the forum post all about the update to cache and trackable page images. I hope this helps!
  2. That's what I'm wondering. NOV 14 SUNDAY Children's Day Diwali Naraka Chaturdashi National Pickle Day National Pupusa Day World Diabetes Day None of those look particularly geocaching event-worthy to me.
  3. It appears that this poor thread has been forgotten about this year...
  4. I've tried googling GC related things a couple of times and never get any good results. It's possible I haven't mastered the keywords. I just stick with the GC search function, and it works well enough for me. But yes, as Moun10Bike said, you have to wait and let the "View GC0000" come up.
  5. Both goals have been completed! Well, we've exceeded 2020 finds already, so I'm not sure that %100 counts...
  6. I've noticed that too. They do it all the time on their surveys. I would think the categories should be: <100 100-500 501-1000 1001-10000 10001+ Or something like that. But I doubt they'll ever do that.
  7. If you haven't seen it by now... https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=8413650 It just has the generic custom TB symbol.
  8. ElmsFam said that the Geo-art would only be 20 caches. If you're efficient, you can get that done it 20-30 minutes. Not hours. I get that you don't want to do tedious puzzles, but this just sounds like all you care about is getting them over with as fast as possible. I'm not sure whether or not this is how you intended to sound like. I'd much rather do creative thought-out puzzles that repetitive ones, but if I want to do the series I'd deal with it. They usually end up not being too bad.
  9. You could do some simple multiple-choice trivia. Maybe some that has something to do with the geoart? It usually works like this(Just in case you've never seen it before): What color is the geocaching logo? Red:N00 00.00 W000 00.000 Yellow:N00 00.00 W000 00.001 Green:N00 00.00 W000 00.002 Blue:N00 00.00 W000 00.003
  10. The threads like people wondering if the threads like anything Now, back on topic...
  11. Yup, I agree. There's only one type of cache that definitely doesn't need parking coords: Parking lot hides!
  12. There's been so many. It could be this one. Or this one. Or this one. Or this one. I don't think I could ever choose. But remember: "When you go to hide a geocache, think of the reason you are bringing people to that spot. If the only reason is for the geocache, then find a better spot." The cache container isn't everything.
  13. This is not the point of DNFs. We log DNFs on any cache we looked for and could not find. Simple as that. And besides, how can you be sure if it's missing or not?
  14. Bump. Does anyone know if this is standard procedure? I've never heard of this happening before. I don't remember seeing any posts about implying that either. Perhaps it's been there for a while and no-one just happened to notice? Or it could be a bug. A very strange one. But we should probably keep on topic. That would make an interesting thread though!
  15. Same here. And how having a image description will make the cache page more enjoyable for a visually impaired person. Does having a screen reader say "Ducks in pond near the cache" or "Spider" (Just some random ideas here) make the experience better or finding the cache that much easier? The only time I could see it being helpful is if the puzzle is in the image. But still, it doesn't really do much other than inform you that you're gonna need help. But I suppose I shouldn't complain about accessibility...
  16. I've never done it, or seen anyone do it, but I would say simply finding this cache would be crazy thing. https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCHVV2_deathwish?guid=e2f60fdd-7b20-4e42-b480-9bdce718c44f The people who find it must have a... Well, you know. I'll try to think of something.
  17. Thanks HQ for this much needed update! Maybe now I will use the search map more often since it is less clunky.
  18. This. I think this is what needs to be done. I have mentioned this before in some other threads, but I'll give my idea again. I think Adventure Labs should be like benchmarks. You can log them, and they show how many you've found on your profile, but they aren't included in your total find count. Adventure labs are a good concept, but tied with geocaching in the wrong way.

    Lab

Bonjour, Si vous souhaitez publier en français, veuillez vous rendre sur les forums francophones. Les principaux forums sont en anglais. There should be a drop-down bar on the right side of the page that allows you to set you adventure lab to "Public". Unlike regular caches, there is no publication process for adventure labs. You can also look here for more help with creating Adventure labs. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1o3llkIjjavD6wcQgmUiQTCyO9QULlktgI1dAfsXCOhQ/edit#slide=id.g7d774ad12d_318_384 Sadly, I believe it's only available in English at the current time.
  20. I'm not sure if it would work on the app. Edit: It doesn't seem to work on the geocaching app, or at least the IOS version. Yes, you can only do it for friends through geocaching.com.
  21. The only reason that I can see that people want webcam caches back is because they are rare. If you give out webcam rewards then they automatically become less rare. I'm sure some people would be pleased with webcam rewards anyways, but I would say people are better off without more webcam geocaches. Like frostengel said, you can't really be creative with them anyways. It's like placing a geocache where you have to use one of the pre-selected locations that someone gives you, and you can't even choose what container to use. I suppose you could try to be creative, but then you end up with something like this (Which apparently really needs to be locked...).
  22. Yup. If you want to activate it, go to your Project GC Settings page and scroll down until you get to "Notifiers", where there is a checkbox for FP notifications.
  23. We finally finished the challenge, after 62 finds. I wonder what wonders they have planned for next year, maybe the 7 Natural Wonders of the World?
