I love library/museum caches. You get to learn stuff and thats almost as good as getting to see somewhere you never would have gone if it weren't for caching. big thumbs up!!

Thats awesome. when I take my son we call it buried treasure(he's 3) and we are pirates.He gets to hold the "map" GZ numbers and the hints (yes I still do it the old fashion way and write everything down)When I tell the other parents about it thats the easiest way for me to explain it in kiddie terms. So in regards to games maybe just something on the side like horseshoes or something similar that gives people something to do but isnt required. I LOVE the name tags idea. I have a really hard time with names so Im always glad when they are available. I am so glad everyone seems to think no raffling. I hate raffles some how it feels like bingo or something. I think we will have plenty to do. Theres a 20miles loop with caches. earthcaches, multi cache a 5/5 cache along the way plus a waterfall cache, kayaking, fishing, swimming, camping. We are going to the park on tuesday to speak with the rangers, if they okay it then we will be submitting our request to Keystone. Hope he approves it (hint hint)

Almost daily I see a thread complaining about LPC amd such. Whats the big deal? If you don't like them don't go after them however just because YOU don't doesn't like doesn't mean it isn't happiness for others. Not everyone can hike up the side of a mountain or even walk the soggy trails. Or maybe it gives them something to do durning the middle of the day. Or maybe they just prefer the concrete jungle over the real deal. I just don't understand how people are going to complain about a FREE game. I guess what I am saying is just because its not what you would do doesn't make it wrong. One mans trash is another mans cache..............

My friend and I are considering hosting a geocaching event over the summer at a state park. It has mountains, a lake,camping, bathrooms, a waterfall and tons of trails. It is a little ways out there but not to bad. We really want this to be fun and an event that that everyone remembers. Can you please weigh in with what you would like to have at a geocaching event.

I love high ratings and wish that there were more. If theres a chance I'm going to need a cast afterwards I'm in. Its the best part of caching. "How do I go about climbing up that and will I ever get down again" I agree!!

I believe Ash has the best suggestions. I'm all for those caches!!

We have planned 2 of our vacations around geocaching at Caanan Valley WV which is 3-4hours away from here. We also plan to drive to MD soon for a cache which is about 2 hours away. But on an average day I don't mind an hour drive if I get to go play in the woods. Even if I DNF no biggie I got out of the house and saw nature which is why i cache in the first place.

ME: We went out in the 35F weather today and found 7 caches on the side of the mountain! I swear this game is going to be the death of me. All to sign a piece of paper saying I was there. FRIEND: You could do the same with a sharpie on a bathroom wall.............. ME: I hope that made you smile.

THANK YOU!! Look every cache has the potential to be dangerous. We went caching yesterday in the woods it was a high of 35F with a 5 year old and slick conditions. NEVER once was the child endangered. AS responsible adults we made sure that at least 1 adult was next to her the entire time and someone stood on safe ground while the others went for the cache. (3-5stars) Just use your head and nobody gets hurt. One of my favorite caches is GC1VNAF if you didn't know what you were looking for you would never know a cache was there but as a responsible person I could see that NO wires were running to the cache. Just use your head.

Thanks I'm really excited. I've sent the clues to my parents who have 3200 caches to see if they can figure it out. After that I'm going to send it to the reviewer. Since this is my first one I want to make sure I didn't make any mistakes.

After caching for several years, I just put together my first hide. Its going to be a puzzle cache. Just working out the details. GO ME!!

Gob-ler Gob-ler is on a FTF streak around here. It seems like he gets FTF within 5 minutes of the cache being published. I don't know how these people are able to do it.

If you are seeing distance while on your computer its from your home cordinates, if your seeing it from your gps its from where you stand.

I would LOVE to watch that show. As for a geocaching reality show PLEASE NO! For the love of god man lets keep this to ourselves. The last thing I want to see is Paris Hilton geocaching. Kill me know I don't know who Rick Steves is but it would be cool if he was someone like Anthony Bordain

We learned our lessons the hard way, now its long sleeves and pants when in the woods. I doubt people do it on purpose. We live in the woods and theres no amount of poison ivy killer to keep it under control.

Awee early morning reading make me a shoe in for IBTL.. I have learned once the word Nazi or Hitler is used in a discussion its all down hill from there. One should just started flinging poopie head and nuh huh your a meanie. Look its simple if you dont have the cache owners permission then take down the video. OR heres an idea start hiding and taping your own caches that way nobody gets their panties in a ruffle
