Refuges are not possing any kind of threat. We barely see them in touristic places, and rarely meet them if you dont go to any of the ( somehow dedicated ! ) places. Να σημειωσω, oti πλεον δεν τιθεται θεμα περιγραφων στα Greeklish. Αρα αν προκειται να συνεχιστει-ανασχεδιαστει ή οτι αλλο , αυτη η σειρα θα χρειαστει ενα νεο template. Προσωπικα ειμαι προθυμος να βαλω μια ή δυο κρυπτες αλλα η εμπειρια μου με τους δωδεκα θεους, δειχνει οτι χρειαζεται καποιος με σιδερενιο στομαχι που θα αναλαβει την διαχειριση της σειρας, μια που ειναι πολυ μεγαλυτερη. Προθυμος να βοηθησω.

Cards are placed on some big rocks and a thick (1/2 inch) of cement mix, that causes no interaction problem. On the cement I draw a G sign that is easy to see and place the device over it to read the next stage's coordinates. If anyone needs plans or program for them just send me an email.

Μου εστειλαν το παρακατω: Καλησπέρα, ονομάζομαι Εύα Τομαρά και είμαι δημοσιογράφος στην εφημερίδα Καθημερινή. Επειδή θα ήθελα να ετοιμάσω ένα άρθρο για το geocache θα ήθελα να σας ρωτήσω αν θα μπορούσατε να μου απαντήσετε σε ορισμένες ερωτήσεις σχετικά με το παιχνίδι και την εμπειρία σας. Αναμένω την απάντησή σας. Φυσικα εκανα αποδοχη, και απαντησα θετικα, προτεινοντας μια προσωπικη επαφη.

Ποσο παληο ειναι το κινητο σου? Λογικα, θα πρεπει να πιανει με αρκετη για το χομπυ ακριβεια. Προσωπικα δεν θα επελεγα ενα με οθονη αφης. Μιλαμε για σκετο GPS. Καποιες παρατηρησεις για να σε βοηθησω ομως στο τι να σκεφτεις πριν να προχωρησεις: Ακριβεια κατω απο 3 μετρα ειναι δυσκολο να βρεις. Ουτως ή αλλως παιζει μεγαλο ρολο και ποση ακριβεια εχει η μετρηση που εκανε ο owner. Αν την μερα που πηγε εβαλε την κρυπτη, πηρε και μια μετρηση χωρις averaging της θεσης, και δεν ξαναπηρε μια, μετα απο 1-2 μερες, σπανια θα συμπεσουν οι μετρησεις σας. Οποτε οσο ακριβες να ειναι το δικο σου, δεν βοηθαει στην ευρεση οσο νομιζεις. Αυτο που θα σε βοηθησει πραγματικα ειναι να καλιεργησεις την σκεψη: Αν ημουν ο owner που θα το εβαζα ? Αυτο και το να παρατηρεις τις πιθανες αλλαγες στο περιβαλλον, ειναι πολυ καλυτερα απο ενα πολυ καλο GPS. Μερικοι owners εχουν συνηθειες, καποιοι ειναι ευρηματικοι (papalia!), καποιοι ακολουθουν την ιδια τακτικη και καποιοι χρησιμοποιουν ενα η δυο ειδη κουτιων, για να μην εχουν καθε φορα να τυπωσουν διαφορετικο μεγεθος logbook π.χ. Καποιοι βαζουν μεγαλυτερα κουτια, ο YannisP βαζει συνηθως ενα ικανοποιητικα μεγαλο ταπερ, που το βαζει σε σακουλα και το δενει με κορδελλα σαν πακεττο ζαχαροπλαστειου. Εν ολιγοις: Θα σε βοηθησει η ευρεση περισσοτερων κρυπτων, περισσοτερο απο την κατοχη ενος καλυτερου GPS. Ολα αυτα με την εντονη υποσημειωση οτι ειναι προσωπικη και μονο εκτιμηση και πιθανα (πολυ ?) να υπαρχουν διαφορετικες εκτιμησεις. Συμφωνω με τον mpampinos οτι το ρολοι ειναι εκτος -χωρις αμφιβολια- για να κανεις geocaching. Αν το συγκεκριμενο μοντελλο Dakota 10 (πρεπει να ειναι μοντελο 2009), εχει βγει πριν το κινητο που χρησιμοποιεις, μαλλον το κινητο σου εχει καλυτερες επιδοσεις. Αν βρεθεις σε καποιο event, ζητα να συγκρινεις τις μετρησεις του, με αυτες των αλλων παικτων, για να δεις τι παιζει. Σκεψου επισης την αποκτηση ενος tablet. Σχεδον στην ιδια τιμη και μεχρι που καθαριζει πατατες και γυαλιζει τα μπρουτζινα!

Really irrelevant to my right to publish my cache in my language. Yes, I know there are many ways to present caches in English. But what if I don't want to expose some bad historical events that Greeks are ashamed for ? A story that must be keep between locals to avoid happen again ? In your country everything is correct ? We are not asking for magic ! The owner has provided the english translation using the Note to reviewer. Erik followed the rules and we have no problem with him. Some of my caches were with very small English but big Greek descriptions. They passed with "flying colors" easily. Other languages are also difficult to translate but cachers use only their own. If it is another issue I don't see why to use that in our discussion. We do not use English for everyday life, and some Greek geocachers can't use it fluently (or at all). The English translation is not keep'd off our cache page. We didn't want/be able/willing to add it on this one cache at the time of reviewing. My cache is in Greek language and despite the future enchantment for other languages (like English and French and...) right now I want the description to be in GREEK only. I can provide an English translation to the reviewer if I must do, but the page needs to start as it is. With no English on it. Can the reviewer reject this cache only because I don't want to add English description ?

Καλως το Γιαννη. Αυτο το ελπιζω βεβαια δειχνει οτι ηδη κολησες! Απλα δεν εχει εκδηλωθει η ασθενεια ακομη. Ειναι ομως αργη και βασανιστικη η εξελιξη της. Ευτυχως εχεις κοντα γιατρο (την Νανα) και ξερει κατι γιατροσοφια απο τα Αγκουσελιανά. Θα σε κανει ακομα χειροτερα αλλα μην ανησυχεις αφηνει μονιμα σημαδια η αρρωστια!

Λιγο μακροσκελες το κειμενο αλλα ειπαμε ειναι δυσκολο να περιγραψεις ολο αυτο με λογια. Στην πραξη ειναι πολυ απλο. Αν το επιθυμει καποιος ας βοηθησει με αναλογες πληροφοριες. Εχω την εντυπωση ομως οτι εχω δει κατι αναλογο και πολυ ποιο σωστα γραμμενο σε σελιδα ορειβατικου συλλογου. Αλλα δεν θυμαμαι που ακριβως...

Τωρα βεβαια δε γινεται τοσο ευκολα η εκπαιδευση στην χρηση χαρτη-πυξιδας αλλα θα προσπαθησω τα βασικα. ΟΛΟΙ οι χαρτες εχουν ενα κανονα: Η επανω πλευρα του χαρτη ειναι ο Βορειάς (Νorth). Δεν εχει σημασια αν ειναι ναυτικος, ορειβατικος, της πλακας, στρατιωτικος... Η βελονα της πυξιδας δειχνει ΠΑΝΤΑ τον Βορειά. Στρωνουμε τον χαρτη σε επιπεδο (σχετικα) εδαφος και βαζουμε στην μεση την πυξιδα, με το γραμμα Ν (North ειπαμε, Βορειας δηλαδη) να κοιταει στην μεση της επανω πλευρας του χαρτη. Γυριζουμε τον χαρτη δεξια ή αριστερα μεχρι η βελονα του να γυρισει και να δειχνει στο Ν. Προσοχη δεν πειραζουμε την τοποθετηση της πυξιδας, τα γυρναμε πακεττο. Οταν συμπεσουν δηλ. το επανω μερος του χαρτη-το γραμμα Ν της πυξιδας και η χρωματισμενη ακρη της βελονας τοτε ειμαστε σιγουροι οτι ο χαρτης δειχνει την -ας την πουμε- 'αεροφωτογραφια' τη; περιοχης. Αυτο δεν λεει ακομη κατι, ομως. Πρεπει να κοιταξουμε για χαρακτηριστικα σημεια στον οριζοντα. Ενας προφητης Ηλιας (εκκλησακι εννοω οχι ο Αγιος αυτοπροσωπως !) ειναι παντα (σχεδον) σε κορυφη βουνου. Μια οποιαδηποτε αλλη εκκλησια, κορυφη βουνου, ποταμι, βρυση, πηγαδι που να αναφερεται στον χαρτη μας ενδιαφερει. Για μεγαλυτερη 'ακριβεια' χρειαζομαστε δυο τετοια σημεια. δεν εχει σημασια τι θα ειναι αρκει να ειναι σαφως ιδιαιτερα και ξεχωριστα. Σηκωνουμε την πυξιδα στο υψος του ματιου και βλεπουμε στις ποσες μοιρες (χοντρα και στο περιπου!) βλεπουμε το αντικειμενο που αναφεραμε. Προσοχη: η βελονα να ειναι στο Ν, το εκκλησακι να βλεπει το ματι. Ας πουμε οτι μια κορυφη την βλεπουμε στις 250 μοιρες και τον Πρ.Ηλια στις 90 μοιρες. Περνουμε κατι σχετικα ευθυγραμο. Πχ. ενα ισιο ξυλακι, μια κλωστη, τον ιμαντα του σακιδιου, το μπαστουνι πεζοποριας ή την ζωνη μας. Παμε στον χαρτη τωρα. Με την πυξιδα δεν τελειωσαμε. Σον χαρτη βρισκουμε τα δυο σημεια που εχουμε εντοπισει και μετρησει. Βαζουμε την πυξιδα στο πρωτο και την μετακινουμε πανω κατω, δεξια αριστερα μεχρι η βελονα της να δειχνει μεν τον βορα αλλα το εκκλησακι του χαρτη να ειναι στις μοιρες που ειδαμε (90). Οσο ποιο μακρυα παμε την πυξιδα (με την μυτη στον Βορα το επαναλαμβανω γιατι ειναι σημαντικο) και το εκκλησακι στις μοιρες που ειπαμε, τοσο καλυτερα. Οταν το βρουμε, τραβαμε μια γραμμη στον χαρτη απο το εκκλησακι προς το κεντρο της πυξιδας, με την βοηθεια του ισιου αντικειμενου που λεγαμε πριν. Επαναλαμβανουμε το αυτο με την κορυφη (270 μοιρες ειπαμε!). Ξανατραβαμε μολυβια. Εκει τωρα που συναντιουνται οι δυο γραμμες ειναι και η θεση μας. Αν χρειαζεσαι παρεταιρω πληροφοριες και επιδειξη χρησης ευχαριστως να το κανονισουμε. Δεν ειναι ντροπη αν δεν ξερεις. Αν γνωριζεις οτι δεν ξερεις ομως, ειναι ντροπη να μην ρωτας. Συνηθως το GPS αν κολησει (μου εχει συμβει!): Α) θελει να βγαλεις τις μπατταριες, να μετρησεις μεχρι το δεκα ( αντε επειδη εισαι καλο παιδι εισαι μετρα περισσοτερο!) και να τις ξαναβαλεις. Β) Σε ποιο σοβαρες καταστασεις ενα Reset στις αρχικες ρυθμισεις ειναι η επομενη λυση αλλα αυτο πως γινεται εξαρταται απο το μοντελο που εχεις. Ειναι καπου μεσα στα μενου του. Γ) ποι πολυπλοκο ειναι το Hard reset. Εκει μπορει να χασεις waypoints, χαρτες, διαδρομες, ιστορικο, φωτογραφιες... Πρεπει να Googl-αρεις ομως την πληροφορια για να δεις πως γινεται. Δ) Το πας στην αντιπροσωπεια και ο θεος βοηθος. Ελπιζω να βοηθησα.

Ειναι κατι σηματακια σαν σημαιουλες, που τις δινει η Groundspeak. Σωνει και καλα οτι σε επιβραβευει για κατι. Σαχλαμαριτσες βασικα, κατι σαν τα σημαιακια που ραβουν οι τουριστες στα σακιδια τους απο τις χωρες που επισκεπτονται. Αν εχεις διαθεση πατησε πανω δεξια που εχει το avatar μου,για να δεις το profile μου, και διαλεξε το τεταρτο ταμπελακι 'Σουβενιρ' ή 'Souvenirs' για να παρεις μια ιδεα. Θα δεις ενα που πηρα τον Αυγουστο του '11. Μενουν εκει για παντα, και υποτιθεται οτι ειναι στοιχεια ενος 'ωριμου' geocacher. Προσωπικα δεν βλεπω καμμια ιδιαιτερη αξια. Ποιο πολυ σαν δικαιολογια να μην μεινω απραγος στο σπιτι, και να βγω με καποιο στοχο ... Δεν νομιζω οτι τα ψαχνει και πολυς κοσμος εδω που τα λεμε ! Οι περισοτεροι δεν ξερουν καν την υπαρξη τους !
