I am new to easy gps and I'm wondering if there is a way to load geocaches by name rather than by gc number?

Is it possible to load caches into a drivesmart 51 other than as a poi file? I want to be able to delete caches as I find them along my route and not have to delete the entire poi file.

I shut off my geocaching live because it was using too much battery.that being said can I just mark as found without the auto uploading to the cache pages? I am a pretty new user of the 750

yippee! Corrected! Can anyone help me with my drivesmart 51 loading using gsak? This is the story.there is a macro but it loads as a poi file and I would like it to load as a favourite so I can delete caches as I find them not all at once like a poi file.I was trying many things this screwing up my gsak export

I can't even find menu!! I have been loading for several years using export to gpx loc file But recently I switched some stuff around there because I was trying to load my car gps which is a drivesmart 51 so I changed some stuff and now don't remember what.in retrospect probably that is when my other problem began.

I load using gsak. Could you show me what it should look like before I load please?

No that did not work.I deleted the file,marked a cache found on my gps without any added notes.plugged my gps in again and clicked drafts, scrolled down to geocache visits file which had appeared again after I deleted it but the same result.error says "geocache_visits.txt" is not in the correct format

I am getting an error message saying the txt file is in the wrong format.I have looked at the file and removed anything I had written in from my unit thinking that might correct it but same old. This started happening about a month ago. Please help!

I have smartdrive 51.I now know how to find the pois that I have loaded but I am wondering if there is a way to delete single pois from my gps as I find the locations while in the car not on the computer? I loaded using the macro suggested but I am not able to find where they went on the gps! How do I find the caches on the device please?

Always possible -- and makes it more fun! Many drivers are looking for 'navigators' or just fill a back seat. If you don't get any takers here on the forum, it is easy to find someone the night before at the pre-cache get together (still have to figure out where this time) or first thing in the morning. Where are you coming from?

Are you getting an error or do they just not show up? I just tried uploading one and it worked fine. If they just aren't showing up, try unchecking that date check box, its caused issues for me before. Thanks for the suggestions. I tried and it didn't work. So I went to the Garmin site and a REALLY helpful guy had me try a few things and I emailed him my geocache visits log and apparantly there was a curser at the top where there shouldn't have been one and now it works!!!! Just thought I's share this info in case there are other Colorado users that have the same problem. Happy caching
