  13. It is also left hand drive and you pay the import duty, VAT, handling fees and all the "on the road costs"! Even better - they only pay for your flight, travel abroad and 2 days accommodation room only - you pay for the meals, drink and taxi to the airport in the UK!! Anyone still interested?! Cheers! Seasider
  14. 1. You also need to add on import duty and make a greater allowance for handling fees - the figure is then nearer 40% of the declared value. 2. To get the item through customs vendors do the opposite of what you suggest. The de minimis limit for tax & duty free passage is just £18 for goods & £36 for gifts so they declare a lower value to get it through. This gives you an excellent chance to avoid contributing towards the government's favourite charities (ie John Prescott , illegal wars etc etc) but gives an insurance problem re the undervaluation. 3. If you ask the vendor to make a 100% truthful declaration you will be 100% guaranteed to pay the extra 40% import costs! I've not had any problems with buying from non EU e-bayers, I've never paid a penny in import fees and am tempted to buy that unit myself! Cheers! Seasider
