  1. Is the Lowrance XOG capable of playing Where I Go. Is there a way of making a program to run where I go cartridges on the XOG.
  2. I am using a Lowrance XOG the battery last from 2 to 2.5 hours it recharges in car also bought one of those cell phone rechargers so when away from the car I can boost the battery. Works great The XOG also loads the hint which is nice.
  3. I have been using the Lowrance XOG for four weeks straight now it is a great unit I have never had a street navigator before thought I new all the roads, short cuts, back roads, of California and western Nevada I have found more with this little gem. I just got back from a 3 and a half day working trip and used the XOG for my navigation to 30 of my job sites from Bakersfield Ca. to Sacramento Ca. to Reno NV. to Mammoth Lakes Ca. to Ridgecrest Ca. then back to Bakersfield Ca. Caching all the way 155 finds out of 155. The XOG has a nice size touch screen that works great, do not have to worry about buttons sticking. Gets me within three feet of a cache without bouncing, every time. You need this when the cache is under a foot of snow. Make one three foot dia hole in the snow instead of a 10 to 15 foot dia hole. Works graet under under trees with thick snow covering them. Like up at Nordic, Ca. What is even nicer is the back light is adjustable to three different settings bright for day time road navigation dim for night time diving. I like the size of the screen I do not have to use a magnify glass to see the letters and numbers of the waypoints. What Lowrance needs to make is a attachable handle to make it a hand held. The rechargeable battery last 2 hours plus and can recharge in the car in between cache, nice. The price for the Garmin Oregon 599.99 without street voice navigation. The price for the Lowrance XOG 160.97 W/shipping and tax from walmart.com Wow, time for beer thirty with louse change. 439.02 = 49 six packs of Sierra Nevada with tax and crv. Want to party.

  9. I bought the Lowrance XOG, downloaded geoway points to it and tried it out it is awesome Nice color screen works great in direct sun light you can change from street nav to straight nav with the nice easy touch screen.
  10. Can the Lowrance XOG Handheld GPS load Geocaching way points and where I go. This looks like a nice GPS that can be used both for navigating hiways and Geocaching if it will load from Geocaching dot com. Has anyone tried using this kind of GPS for Geocaching. And what does it take to make it work for Geocaching. http://mediabase.edbasa.com/erez4/erez?src...im_productImage
  11. I found a "Thanks for being a Geocoin Angel!" and can not find a web page to log it in. Would anyone out there know who owns this coin series It is brass with black back ground with wings in the middle and Thanks for being a Geocoin Angel! around the inside edge. The back has Thanks in different languages. And a three digit tracking number http://img.geocaching.com/user/e6f2f4f2-42...a86138c3b86.jpg.
  12. 15. I am using Windows Live Mail with a hotmail account never had a problem like this before I am getting Groundspeak email notifications ok just not new or logged notifications.
  16. I had cleared all my blocked email addresses we will see if it makes a difference. I do not know how to check with the ISP. But will try a search at there site. Thanks, Phil Just an fyi, there is a forum for geocaching.com issues and or praises. However, it sounds like your ISP or email provider is blocking the mail. You'll want to check your Spam folder on the web and if you're using an e-mail client, check your junk mail folder.
  17. I set up my notifications on Geocaching dot Com it worked good till with in a month ago I have not received new listings, new logged caches of my caches. How do I get it to working again. I already tried making a new notification still does not work. I am not sure if this is the right forum. I could not find a help forum.

  20. How about we vote on the cachers if they are cachers or whiners Now this cacher gets my vote: (as the next president for the KERN COUNTY CACHERS) Congratulation to The FTF: May 21 by calmster (89 found)I FOUND IT!!! I will attest to the validity of all the clues and descriptions! They are correct and the cache is there as described! Found an empty Log sheet, and nothing else so I assume I am the FTF -- signed and was on my way. I found 7 other caches after this one, in the same amount of time I spent on this one. And to think, now afterwards there wasn't much too this cache! Can you belive 89 fines in less than a month first cache 30 Apr 08. How pathic these cachers whiners that should have found it in stead of whining for a easier clue or is it like being on welfare I AM A CACHER NOW HAND IT TO ME ON A GOLD PLATER. We could vote on how many times they call or email for and easier hint. thanks for letting me vent, PNZ P.S. keep up the good work TGK for moving the Organization of the KCC forward.
  21. Mention in the Groundspeak Weekly Notification 3. Kern County Cachers Pizza Meet & Greet #1 (Event Cache) (GC1C7D0) Location: California, United States (7mi E (11.2km E)) Date: 6/13/2008 by Tall Grass Kids
