  1. Hey ya'll, I'm headed to Nashville for a weekend. I'm looking for info on what caches are considered "must find" caches in the area. Not interested in 5-star caches, since I'm on the move and not bringing any gear. Any particular area considered a "cache dense" area, or is that all of Nashville now? I was up there once about three years ago. I'd wager there's a whole new batch now! Thanks!
  2. One of my hides that comes to mind is one near a scenic overlook, around some boulders. You have to reach up over your head for the cache, and tucked behind the cache with juuuuust enough fishing line for you to get the cache halfway down is a nice hairy spider that comes down from the hole to, um, "greet" you. I've got so many emails offline about that one to keep me laughing! From this morning, "At that moment, I just couldn't understand why that &$%# thing kept coming at me!"
  3. Heh... sounds like quite a few of mine! I have caches with spiders, one with a rubber snake, another with a spring snake, and on and on....
  4. Hope everyone had a good Christmas! I was bad... but my girl likes it that way, LOL.
  5. Since no one seems to give a crap about this contest, I'll go ahead and announce the winner. At a score of 5 to 3, dark_onyx1982 wins the prize! Congrats!
  6. My vote goes to "Got GPS" for his son's "Little Champ" costume. The expression on his face is priceless!
  7. yes! Vote away -- winner to be announced today! (sorry, work got in the way)
  8. Today is the last day for photo submissions! Keep 'em coming, ya'll!
  9. More fun was had last night. Makeup was much better when *she* helps apply it! A few pics:
  10. I don't have a clue why he hasn't logged it, but I can't wait any longer! I was doing maintenance on my "The Cardinal Puzzle Cache" here in Alabama a few weeks ago and what did my froggy eyes behold but a POT O'GOLD! Woo hoo! I'm a happy frog!! Thanks, GeoLeprechaun!
  11. How'd ya manage that? You only got one! D'oh! Nevermind, I remember how....
  12. How'd ya manage that? You only got one!
  13. Congrats to all! I saw one of the coins in person at our party, but have yet to lay my froggy hands on one...!
  14. The famous Chelemybell and Joefrog's annual Halloween party was this past Saturday. We were "The Frankenstein Family." Her & her son's costume turned out great! She got ready and said "you're on your own for your makeup!" So my makeup was less than stellar. Ah, well... fun just the same! We had matching tattoos for the party. The flaming pumpkin was a flaming success! Soak a roll of toilet paper in kerosene overnight, put in the pumpkin and light. It'll give a flame as seen in the pic below for half an hour! A few pics:
  15. Let's see... I've dove for FTF on a 5-star cache a 6-hour drive away, I've dove in January's 40-degree temps for a locationless cache... I think I need a diving mickey!
  16. Got mine in the mail -- looks great!!
  17. Hey, cool! That's the first time I've seen "my" pumpkins elsewhere. I have that pattern too, and make 'em for craft shows -- but mine look a little different!
  18. I kept a "special stash" of "goodies" for treaters like that... go down the canned meat aisle sometime. Near the vienna sausage and potted meat, there's a lovely item called "pork brains (in milk gravy)." Also known to be used is a handful of dry pinto beans, a scoop of crisco, or a raw egg dipped lovingly in chocolate. Makes a lovely bag-filler!
