  1. Why is it that people who like the numbers are automatically "highly competitive types" who like to "pat themselves on the back and feel superior"? Where is that written? I'm sorry, but I sorta like the numbers, and certainly don't feel superior to anyone who may have less finds than me. Don't be so quick to judge. (Edited to fix typos...it's late)
  2. Nothing to add here, just hate seeing a post with no replies after several hours. Now, go about your regularly scheduled business...
  3. So, when I said earlier to "shuddup and go cache", and then you referred to people who said, "shuddup and go cache"...that was for the benefit of someone else who might, say maybe later, say "shuddup and go cache"? Nope. You haven't rebutted any yet, don't want to overload you...not that I have attacked you. Oh, lest I get chastised for "not staying OT" again... I hate people that can't rebut issues on the forums any better than a third grader. Unless, of course, they only are third graders. (You're not still in third grade, are you?) And, I hate stupid, inane handles on GC.com like "'Googling Hrpty Hrrs" or some such, that only make sense to the owners, too. Like vanity plates that spell 'LMR8 2B' and stuff...what gives? Finally, I hate people who think every single different opinion is a personal attack. They're not. Get over yourself. It's not all about you, ya know. 'k, I'm done now...
  4. There already is a PQ filter for caches that have not been found.
  5. Aww, those Aussies are just angry because they can't see our cool constellations, like Orion and Ursa Major. They have their wimpy constellations, like.... erm, well, I don't know exactly, but they can't be as cool as ours. Plus, the Northern Lights are a bust for them, too, and they're just sore about it...
  6. For someone who owns 9 trackables (at least under THIS account), seems kinda hypocritical, no?
  7. Who said I wanted conversation to stop? Maybe just the whining? But I know, in your case, it's hard to differentiate...
  8. I also collect coins, but I don't log mileage on them. Who cares, if they're really not used as TB's? Just keep them in your inventory and let people "Discover" them at events. It's what I do. The few coins I own that are actually traveling is one thing, this is completely different.
  9. It's Legg's pantyhose, thank you very much!
  10. No, not since I created a new forum account the DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY. But, thanks for asking...
  11. I agree unless the McToys are left in a non-kids cache. i.e. How many small kids hike up mountains.... But, I thought the idea of caching was to go to great, scenic places. What's wrong with a TNLNSL? I'll have to admit, I haven't found any life altering prizes in any caches, so why not McToys? Is the location the prize, or not? Can't have it both ways...
  12. Why? Don't they (by definition) HAVE to be better than a virtual overlooking Horsetail Falls, or Hell's Canyon, or the Great Barrier Reef? After all, lame rock caches haven't been killed yet...
  13. Maybe, but who's to say they have to? I fully disagree. Why not part of my profile? If I choose to collect coins, then that should be included in my profile. Again, that's just your opinion. And you know what they say about those... Why? Why two sites? Why should I have to bounce back and forth just to log my coin collection? The Discover option is a GREAT idea and should be kept, and improved upon. (See how opinions vary?) Funny, but I fail to see how a Geocoin is "meant" to travel. Now, Travel Bugs, ok, I'll buy that. But, they aren't called Travel Coins, are they?
  14. What's wrong with virtuals, anyway? Seems so many people here claim to cache "only to go to the great landscape areas and gorgeous views that I wouldn't see otherwise" and the like. Why did virtuals get the boot, anyway? Better than half the caches hidden with 7 seconds forethought stuffed with a bunch of broken McToys, aren't they??? And, what's wrong with a micro hidden there, since virtuals DID get the boot? If they take you to a beautiful spot, are you really THAT bummed out about not getting to swap out a $.02 toy? Hmmmm?
  15. <rant> People who feel the need to vent about everything they don't happen to like about another person/place/website/cache/etc. You know, like this thread... Any more, I'm almost embarrassed to be associated with such a group of whiners as fellow geocachers. I enjoy the game/sport/pasttime, and find very little to gripe about. It seems that is the norm now... "I hate the new website!" "I hate the old website!" "I hate LPC's!" "I hate micros in the woods!" Yeah...you get the idea. Shuddup and go cache. </rant>
  16. This is a great suggestion! No matter what form it takes, having that indication right there at the top of the cache page would be very helpful and convenient. If this idea is implemented maybe it could also include other similar info-at-a-glance; one or more captions beside or under the title as they apply, such as: You have FOUND this cache You were FIRST TO FIND this cache You OWN this cache You are WATCHING this cache You are IGNORING this cache You own a TRACKABLE that is currently in this cache You are WATCHING a TRACKABLE that is currently in this cache Your FLY is open Ummmm, how did you know...?
