  1. You're apparently clicking the wrong link. Click on Edit Listing, then click modify your cache coordinates via a log entry. I did do that. I had to pick a log type. The first one was a reviewer note. I just did another one in the form of a regular note. It still looks like it is in the wrong place on the map and the coords at the top of the event page are wrong. Why cant I just change the coords on the top of the page. I dont want to add more waypoints, I just want to change the coordinates to where they need to be. Im not new to this game, I have hosted a pile of events. Click on Log my Visit, this is the same link you select to log a find on a cache. You need to pick the log type of Edit Coordinates. Then in that log click the "has a waypoint" box and fill in the new coordinates. When this log is entered it will change the coordinates. I think that's the confusing spot. When the "Updated Coordinates" type is selected, there should be some javascript in there to automagically check the "Has Waypoint" box and show the coordinate fields. I would never have guessed it otherwise. For the record Jeremy forgot to include the "edit coordinates" log type to events. There was the problem. I feel much better now. all is well.

  3. OK so heres my issue with this... I am hosting an event and placed it with aproximate coordinates. They take people nearby but not to where they need to be. I went and got the exact coordinates today, went to update them and I do not even have the OPTION to change the coordinates. I can ONLY add another waypoint. I am the host of the event and the owner of the listing and I think it is "SILLY" that I can not edit them as need be. Whats the deal?
  4. I wonder what the gambeling laws would think about this? My own personal opinion is its a big fat scammin load of somthin' smelly that comes from cattle. Naughty naughty capitolists, think of your karma... *tsk tsk* --Odder
  5. This sounds like a good category! I have sevral sets of coords to add!
  6. I am amused by this adding another dimention to the GPS games playing thing. I think the stats should be common to both sites. Might make it easier to manage your accounts and placements, and keep track of things. This is a great idea.
  7. Im always up for a good hide. However I am really NOT mathmaticly gifted. So you tell me the area and Ill put one there. Big or small it matters not. --Odder
  8. Islands In The Stream This is another cache up on the South Santiam. There are some wicked chutes in this upper section. It may be difficult to kayak in the summer due to low water levels but is a really pretty river. --Odder
  9. Yeah I my hubby heard about it on NPR a while ago and he decided he wanted a GPS. He got one for his birthday, and we went a few miles and found a cache. I saw where it was as we drove by. I guess that means I have the natural geo instincts. So yeah that was 2 yrs ago and the rest is history. I have found that what really gets me going is the joy of the hide. I really like reading other peoples trials and tribulations at places Ive known for years. so im shooting for my 100th hide by Champoeg, Champoegthen I will issue "The Odder Challenge". that will be to find 80 of my hundred+ caches. That amazing feat will be rewarded with an Odder orig. painting of their or a friends favorite pet. So stay tuned....
  10. GCK292 Dunkin' Donuts?... Oh wait! Dunkin' Cachers! and GCH925 Menear's Bend is right around the corner although you need not get wet for that one... This is a good one to kayak as long at the water is high enough. I kayaked it with a couple other people this last summer and the water was a bit too low. I think we did it mid to late July. You can go all the way down to foster lake and there are several other caches along the shore. There is only one portage corner. Theres a big log across it right at the bottom of a chute... Any how it was fun. Look for more caches along this river next year... --Odder
  11. Are there specific procedures regarding the transfer of ownership of a cache when both parties agree to do so? How should I go about this?
