  1. I have a puzzle on Certitude where the solution is a word, not coordinates. GZ has been altered so I had to move the container and now I need to update the final coordinates in the checker. I can't figure out how to do this without clearing the stats and starting over. Is anyone familiar with this?

  2. Don't worry 'bout me, I'll be O.K., I'll jus' sit here

in th' dark scoopin' up my porridge with an ol' dry

crust o' bread an waitin' on somebody t' notice my

    pitiful attemps at digital conversation.

I know, nobody needs complete sentences nowadays.

Spent a lifetime learnin' t' spell and how t' use big

words an' see how that has turned out.

    R U 2 B Z 2 C Y I :-)?

Hey Harmon! Welcome back! Did you go to Scotland and Ireland? I thought it was only Ireland. Gorgeous country!! I liked your rubber airplane picture and your chick magnet comment. :anibad: My husband lived in Abingdon, England for a year and he traveled a lot while he was there. He said Edinburgh was amazing! Are you going to post your photos?

Finally run to ground by the Dirty Dozen ... what next?

Note to Self: They just don't make movies like this any more.

Hey Harmon, that's a clever touch on the poster.

I love it, Harmon!! I've been out of touch with the internet since Monday :lostsignal: so I'm just seeing this for the first time. Very fun!! Can't wait to hike to these caches! Maybe I'll rent the movie, too. :drama:

    Nancy,

Not sure that a tough-guy WWII flick of this sort

is appropriate for Pt. Loma residents. The section

of the poster where it says "EXCITE THEM!" is very

much out of touch with present-day society.

    Just so you'll know,

    Harmon

Hmmmm........defined by my place of residence, eh??? :anibad:

  5. Nancy! Just the person I need to talk to ...

In the past few months while hiking mountain trails I get an uncanny

sense that I am being followed.

A few days ago while hiking Conjeos Trail I heard footsteps behind me.

I whirled around and to my surprise saw a track of bootprints in the

snow leading right up behind me ... but nobody there!

    What should I do?

Oooohhh....sounds creeeeeepyyyy.....I think only the shadow knows.... :yikes::bad:

Rambling through Cuyamaca Rancho State Park

with the LSD! Team ... Lulu499, Splashette,

and Duncan!. I get the feeling that they had

    cocktails before their ramble.

    Sweet ol' Harmon

Hahaha!! It looks that way, Harmon, but there actually was a method to our madness.

  7. O, so now I see how it is.

Here it is Saturday and not a single log

entry on my latest CRSP hides. I suppose

my "pals" have better things to do other

than worry about an ol' man's meager

    offering.

    Grumble, grumble,

    Poor ol' Harmon

    SD Rowdies

My CRSP logs are forthcoming, but they're not on your latest. I'm always the last in my group to log.

Actually, I'm not sure that this is the cache. A previous finder mentioned that he'd repaired the cache with duct tape and I notice that there is some duct tape on the plastic bits. I didn't find anything else that could have been the cache. Perhaps someone who's found "Another Viejas Roadside Cache" could weigh in and say whether this was the cache or not.

    Edit...

Sooo... any clues if that was the cache??? Ok, really not that curious, this is more like a thread bump... :anibad:

John, are you bored??? One of our caches still hasn't been found for over a year...... .

I was beta-tester on that one, lulu... Rock Boulder Scramble to Red Top

Ahh...maybe Dwyers5 will make another trip out there.

  10. THESE REALLY WORK!! I checked this out on Snopes and it's for real!

    AMAZING, SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES:

    1. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP.

    2. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.

    3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.

    4. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CLOCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON.

    5. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH.

    6. YOU NEED ONLY TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

    7. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

    THOUGHT for the day:

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN THEY'RE PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

hahahaha!!! Thanks for the laugh!!!

  11. Moved this query over from the Cache Critters thread...

    Here's what I don't get ... how come posted images don't get

you into trouble with our local Geocaching babes? Could it be

that I'm doing something wrong? ... no way.

I suspect that the reason I don't get into trouble is that I post pictures of anonymous critters instead pictures of our local Geocaching babes. But today, while I was out caching, I saw something that inspired me to try an experiment. I'll post a picture to see if I get into trouble.

those anonymous critters feel about that?

Well, actually, you have two to my one.

You have two green lights, too, pal! I cropped the picture so the background wouldn't give away the location.

My husband used to work on Nancy Ridge Drive.

Lakeside's answer to the Internatioal Space Station.

Ohhhh, I like this Harmon!!! I know I'm kinda of 'spacey' but I really like the application here!

    Thanks Pal!

    Splashette

Such a cute picture!! She is a star! Great work, Harmon!!

    Hi Nancy,

Take a guess ... how long do you think it took for an

email from Janie to arrive in my inbox? Yep, she want's

original copies of her space-odysey photos.

    The other image

Janie is the main reason that I have four hard-drives in

my computer ... so many photos of that terrific lady.

On the other hand I do have one complaint about Janie

photos ... she didn't send me a photo of herself dressed

as mother-of-the-bride for her daughter's wedding in Maui.

So what am I ... chopped liver?

    Your pal,

    Harmon

Harmon, if you took away Janie's outer beauty, she'd still be beautiful because of who she is. She didn't make herself the main focus of her photos. I, too, wanted to see more pictures of her, especially in her mother-of-the-bride dress. She is cute, sweet, funny and unaffected, so don't take it personally. Chopped liver??? I don't think so. Can you tell I'm a fan of Janie along with you?

Oliver Twist meets one of the Lollipop Kids.

They had a Dickens of a time while Geocaching until

the Wicked Witch of the Old Iron Bridge drove up in

her FJ. That's the story ... en Toto.

I'll second that.

  16. By the way, I've been given to understand that you have

taken on a regular task of seeing after Janie while out

and about in quest of Geocaching finds. Best of luck in

that endeavor ... youth should work in your favor as that

ol' gal's a handful while out along the trails.

Here's a tip in that regard, be especially careful about

the sort of hiking boot you wear when looking after

Splashette as she can be a bit harpy about boots that don't

measure up to her firm expectations. In my own case I had

to retire a perfectly fit pair of boots that she addressed

as "clodhoppers" each and every time she saw them. That's

why I took of the practice of hiking to the rear of march

so's she couldn't appraise my every footfall so sharply.

Those boots seemed fine to me if only they had been a pair,

    which they weren't.

You are really asking for it there Harmon00020473.gif

    clod·hop·per (kldhpr)

    n.

    1. A clumsy person.

    2. A big heavy shoe.

I had to look this word up because my dad used to jokingly call my sister a clodhopper when she did a cartwheel. :anibad: I would have to say your shoes qualify, as well.
