Woof and I just returned home yesterday from Las Vegas back to Artesia, NM. Carried the GPS in a carry on both ways and had no problems whatsoever...however that being said...Anything of value should be carried on the plane with you as some airports (el paso is one) will cut the locks off you luggage to search even after xray. I had a small scissors and some sewing needles in my large suitcase..thats all the metal there was....just clothes...lock got cut anyway.

We think it should be O.K. to trade as long as you don't get the animal from here.
Just us old farts...
Having just been to that place, we can assure you it would put more "spirit" into this type cache...

Contacting owners about the ratings in a positive and helpful tone is one thing...
Whining that it was too easy or hard is another...
All you have to go on is the rating to decide weither you want to go after a particular cache...if it is off, a gentle contact with the owner usually brings about positive results.

I agree with Stunods...to easy to abuse...whats to keep someone from voting numerous times cuz they want to place THEIR cache in a particular spot already occupied by what they deem is not as good as theirs?
Too many judgements made by too many people will just backfire in the long run....that is why there are cache approvers...if you have an issue contact one of them...

If all else fails...hail a taxi...you cant throw a stick without hitting one...or ask at desk about hotel transport...they usually take you were you want...or even the bus...as you are staying down town this will amount to a few minutes ride...and they can help you get the right one.
Museum of Science and Industry is a must...so is the Shedd Aquarium.
There is Lincoln park zoo...and the art museum.
Any Chicago pizza and Chicago hot dog will be way different from what you know down here.

Might make an interesting "THEME" cache...
