Clowns always gave me he creeps anyway.
Somehow that avatar always reminded me of Stephen Kings' book....THING

When you see the big picture you'll realize how bad it really is
Bad as in....I will have trouble sleeping....or bad as in...if you go to sleep you will have nightmares.... ?
Nightmares don't begin to describe it
Ut O....nevermind...don't want to see it....no way....ain't gonna happen...I like my dreamless sleep...

You know, that weird cat bugged me at first, but he's ok.
Until you look really close and notice the cats face is almost human...then it creeps you out all over....but in a ...I can't turn my eyes away kinda way...

..., I'm posting this, what are some of the worst trades you've ever seen on a cache page that people have actually had the guts to log.
I just read one a little while ago that read like this:
".....Took the travel bug and will move it west this weekend. Left 6 cents."
Grabbing a TB is not considered a "trade". Therefore, anything left in a cache during the taking of the TB is not a trade - technically, it would be a bonus.
Seriously??!?!?!
I was under the impession that TBs were like sig items and were considered to have a little bit of value, or like the value of whatever the TB actually is, I mean, I guess I don't expect THAT much, but I think it's worth more than six cents...
I just retrieved a TB from our own cache, to fulfill the owners request for pictures of the TB and local brewpubs. Did the pictures and then put TB into a brand new cache we just hid and registered the moves on the TB site. From what I have read on the forums this is acceptable, and we got a nice note from the owners of the TB today thanking us for the neat pictures.

I approve them a little differently
I print all of the cache submissions for the day on 3x5 cards.
Then I draw a 6 ft circle on the ground.
I then stand in the center of the circle and throw all the cards in the air.
All the cards that fall inside the circle get approved all the ones outside the circle get archived. if they land on the line I send an e-mail for more information.
Seems to work for me
Now thats funny..........!!!

While placing a cache yesterday on the side of a hill, full of sharp rocks and baby cactus that have leaves like knives (will go through rubber soles) I had a slight slip.
Thinking...this would not be a good place to take a header...hmmmm. 80 miles from nearest hospital and out in middle of boonies, I did what every cacher knows as the cachers dance. Came down on my own shoelace, and almost lost it again...still dancing I felt a little pop in my knee and thought "Oh Chit" ! I'm gonna look like a piece of tenderized meat if I fall....this was like all in a split second/year.
Finally managed to bring myself to a halt, suck air, and thought...this coulda been a baddy...Knee is a little tender today, but would rather have tender...then tenderized.

For the first year or so, she will probably do a lot of LOLLYgagging....short attention span...and you will probably laugh alot at her... LOLly...
edit for mistake..

Woof and I just found GOOP for outdoors....good from 40 below zero to 150 in summer. We followed directions, went shopping, and when we came back it was
stuck solid...found it at Walgreens of all places ! Haven't seen it at Wallyworld tho...
-
Haven't done it yet, but plan over the next four days to launch a regular cache (with TB) a micro cache, and virtual cache... pending approval of course
And I wish myself luck ! LOL
edit for grammer...

Seeing as it is suppose to rain here....AND rain bullets here, I will be sitting in my chair wearing a steel pot on my head...
Happy New Years Everyone !
And may God speed our troops back home soon.....

I think the report button gets too easy to resort to for some people and causes undo actions...that said I can understand why it is needed, but I can't help but wonder if it contributes to some of the flame wars between members...
Don't like what he said...HIT THE BUTTON...
He got one over on me....HIT THE BUTTON...
I don't like his use of smilies...HIT THE BUTTON...
His avatar stinks in my opinion...HIT THE BUTTON....
You get the idea
I have never hit the report button (unless I hit it accidently) nor do I plan to.
I am an adult...if someone says something to tick me off...I leave the forums for awhile...simple solution.
To self moderate usually has kept some threads going for a very long time, and can still be uproarously entertaining...

I agree with you that the report button isn't needed. I think the Moderators keep a close eye on things and know when someone has gone over the top.
However I don't think that everytime some one hits the report button that action is taken. I believe that the Moderators have sense enough to read between the lines.
El Diablo
Well I do to El Diablo...but it must be very frustrating to have some of the workload they have constantly interupted by members throwing sand...

And a Happy New Years....
One beautiful December evening Huan Cho and his girlfriend Jung Lee were
sitting by the side of the ocean. It was a romantic full moon, when Huan Cho
said "Hey baby, let's play Weeweechu."
"Oh no, not now, lets look at the moon" said Jung Lee.
"Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I play Weeweechu. I love you and its the perfect
time," Huan Cho Begged.
"But I rather just hold your hand and watch the moon."
"Please Jung Lee, just once play Weeweechu with me."
Jung Lee looked at Huan Cho and said, "OK, we'll play Weeweechu."
Huan Cho grabbed his guitar and they both sang..... "Weeweechu a merry
Christmas, Weeweechu a merry Christmas, Weeweechu a merry Christmas, and
a happy
New Year."
And so do I !!!!!
AND YOU JUST KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO BE SOMETHING ELSE

I wasn't offended, but some people may have been. I think they see the hunt as exciting for BM's as we see the hunt for caches being part of the fun. I just wasn't sure if you were serious or not. No sweat!
Hey.....what's this thing sticking out of my rear?
Gosh Sparky...can we please call it something other then hunting for BM's...???
and not going near rear end sentence....

Hey, all those hazards and you are caching!? Have anyone of you had a serious meeting (is that the right word?) with deadly/dangerous animals?
I mean like putting your hands in between stones to retreive the cache, and there are also a snake or something like that?
BTW, are not the heat in some parts a hazard? I mean like caching in the deserts??
Caching in the desert has its whole own set of problems...
And yes... we have picked up a cache with a Recluse spider on it...they can cause some serious problems...no snakes, or cats yet, but we use a walking stick to move aside growth or rocks first...
-
5 minute after the first post - and you are already freaking out? That must be a record?
The police are not a big issue here, neither the military.
Freaking out ????
Just answering the forum topic I would think....
-
Don't forget thorns, cactus, black widow & fiddleback spiders, mountain lions, western diamond back & pygmy rattlesnakes.
Tourist letting their kids run around the desert...no water and in sandles...yickes
In New Mexico it either stinks, stings, sticks or bites...
-
I'd do Jagermeister shooters myself.
Wouldn't you know it. That's whats in my fridge. I can't afford Tequila anymore. Cactus must be getting scarce, or is it the worm?
Hadn't you heard ? The worms formed a union and went on strike 6 months ago...
Alright...I know...not on topic....
How bout them virtuals....gonna try to start one this weekend...
-
You know caching is suppose to be fun...virtuals, locationless, GC caches...all fun...
How can cheating on these be fun ?
-
I'm ummm.....
Do you have any documentation to support this claim? I've been searching for the "great um". Everytime I hear 'um', he quickly disappears amongst his buddies "you know" and "I mean".
I am Umm, son of Errr, ruler of all Vocalized Pauses. Behold my indecision!
Yes Sparky me vocal hesitation was deliberate...I hate getting into flame wars...so I hesitate.

Errr....I think you were mistaken at whom the first post was made to....
HE was responding to Scout Master....
That is my point...........ddoggny was talking about Scout Master. Then in his next post , he had nothing nice to say about me............Beans?????
