Doom on you!
Doom on you!

You are in rare form today.
Funny...the wife says the same thing
Akkkkkkk way to much information !!!

one of my brothers was using the, uh.......commode, when a small quake hit san diego. i guess that's a good place to be.
Saves on having to wash the shorts !!!
-
Yeah....my brother in Minnesota had a big badbutt snowblower....but still has to shovel the roof
I'll take the desert thanks...I grew up in white out blizzards, and snow up to but
ICK

Ah...this picture reminds me of why we moved from northern Illinois to sunny...er, um rainy New Mexico.
That stuff is definately NOT fun to shovel.
-
And now it is Sunday....and still raining....but you know, for this rain, it is worth not being able to cache ! The birds are singing and happy with the wet, the grass is greener then its been in a long time, and my dog has to literally by pushed out the door --- she hates getting wet
-
Bring me the goodies and I'll place a cache for you
That is a distinct possibility....woof and I have been talking road trip....few days in Albu. and a few in Sante Fe....will let you know !
-
And we could always put it atop a lightning rod...
-
Well it always amazes me to see grown men out on the course in the middle of thunder and lightning holding them clubs waaaaaaaaaay up in the air...muttering ....one last hole......
and they could be right!!!!!!
Wasn't that in Caddyshack?
I've found a cache really close to a golfcourse before, but it wasn't raining.
And as I drive by watching these guys I always chant softly
One last hole.....One last hole.....One less A--hole
When are going to hide the "One last hole" cache?
COOL BEANS !!!!!!!!!
That would be a really great name for a cache on a golf course....
You got more of them in Albuquerque .... My town has one golf course...and all the land around it is privately owned
But I would be more then glad to supply the goodies for the cache !!!

Quitcha complaining Saxman !!!
But I wanna go caching!
Oh, did I mention the thunder and lightning? (Shouldn't it be lightning and thunder since the light comes first?) Anyway, It felt like an earthquake had hit last night around 1am (I'm from California, so yes, I know what an earthquake feels like). After another flash of lightning, the thunder rolled on for 20-30 seconds. Boy do we have wierd weather.
But just think Saxman...you could be one of those guys out on the golf course with a lightining rod in your hands...But then we would have to call you Sparky

Yes, my grass is really enjoying the rain. My fruit trees may have been damaged by a bit of hail, I won't know til I go home. New Mexico is in as much of a drought as Colorado, but we have to give all of our water to Texas so it doesn't do us any good.
Yeah...and the water outta the Pecos river hits the salt flats south of Carlsbad, NM and becomes useless to the ranchers down there in Texas...you would think Texas would give us a break and tell us to keep it until they can come up with a workable plan...instead it sits and evaporates
This rain is really nice...caching or not we in SOUTHERN NM need it soooo bad...we have had probably 18 inches of rain in the last 7 years
So this will help....
Quitcha complaining Saxman !!!

Thank you that got me on my way.
Most of the benchmarks in this area are have not been logged, and we have found 2 more...now we gotta go take pictures.

Went yesterday to take a picture of a stone silo....we have been hunting one for months...only to find the locationless is archived....bummer

Groundspeak will always experience a system slowdown when you are trying to log something.

Well my bit of advise is:
You can pick your friends
You can pick you nose
But you can't pick your friends nose

Went out in the oil field today, and ran across a benchmark. It is a virticle control marker.
We have a picture of the mark, a picture of the witness post, the coordinates, and the elevation but how do we look it up? Its in the middle of nowhere !!!
Lea County NM somewhere west of and between the towns of Monument and Eunice NM. It is right next to an oil field dirt road, and the witness post is not hard to miss.
We typed in the Eunice Zip code, but it does not cover far enough away from the town to take this one in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated --- It will probably turn out to be one that is not entered, but we have no idea how to even find that out.

New Mexico....and confusion

Actually she is normally pretty good about going to bed, now that she is older. We let her help carry the geobag and stuff. It helps make her feel part of it and we let her pick one thing from the cache that's just for her. She has taken her dolly with her, but we don't let her take it out of the car so that it doesn't get lost. Not that she is in to the dolls much, she is very much turning into a tom girl as is her little sister.
Enjoy it while you can!
I wish I could take my daughter with me....
but
She is almost 34, and I think the Army would have alot to say to me for dragging her offpost....LOL
-
LOL...thats funny...
Can I have a glass of water as a delay tactic for bedtime changes to:
Can we go Geocaching now?
Can I take my dolly with?
Are we there yet?
-
boy....that raised the hair all over my body...can you imagine...nobody for miles and miles...that is one huge ghost town.
Makes you sad for the kids...one day everything is fine...the next day its terror.
-
Just my two cents, but I would much rather do one that brings about a surprisingly unusual conclusion.
I can see someone trying it and ending up in a bell tower with a .30-06.........THAT would qualify as a surprising unusual conclusion
