  1. Yeah, like Garmin never has any bugs in their products, heh didn't say that but look around you everywhere you go with cachers and count the devices. PC I know what your saying. I just was replying to this. If there are more Garmins and different types, there will be more around. I am not cutting anyone down just saying. Thanks
  2. I hear ya. I love my Delormes, but I also try a lot of Garmins. I keep with Delorme because I like the way it works. The 62S and the Etrex 30 are great units. Thanks
  3. Yeah, like Garmin never has any bugs in their products, heh didn't say that but look around you everywhere you go with cachers and count the devices. You also have to look at the size of the company and the amount of devices they have. Delorme has a few items, and Garmin has how many? Thanks
  4. I love mine. I have had a lot of Garmins and keep the PN-60. My Wife will never let hers go. Garmins a also great units but I like the layout of my PN-60. Thanks
  5. Delorme PN-60 is my choice. The Garmin 62S and Etrex 30 are also good units. Thanks
  6. I have owned a lot of Garmins and of course a PN-40 and 60. I really think they are very acurate. But then again so were some of the Garmins I owned. From what I understand it all depends on what was used to place the cache. I went benchmarking and found my -40 was right on as well as my Dakota 20. I just like the way everything is on the Delormes. My opinion, but some of the Garmins I owned are just as accurate as my Delormes. Thanks Merry Christmas
  7. What about the Delorme PN-60. Great unit and a good price. It is road routable and has all the maps you will ever need. Garmin is very good also. 3-axis is what I like. Thanks
  8. I'm with eusty, I would not buy one without it. Acyaully without one with 3-axis.
  9. This is like new. I have a screen protector and belt clip for it. I can also load 24K Topo Northeast on it for you. $230 Thanks
  10. I have been using a Nuvi 500 for a few years and want to upgrade to the 40LM. I know about the GSAK Nuvi deal. I would like to just load a PQ to the GPX file. If I use GSAK it does not show the name. I really like the way the 500 shows the name. Can it be done with the 40LM? Thanks
  11. I have the 30 and I like much more than the 450. I just never liked the touch screen. That is my opinion. Thanks
  12. 100K the USA, Canada and Mexico. The US are good, I am not sure about the rest. I am not really sure how often they are updated. But there are some intersections in Manitowoc that have changed 10 years ago and my Garmin maps are not up to date but the Delormes are. It is a horse a piece for the maps. I am sure there are the opposite in other areas. Do not get me wrong I have had a lot of Garmins and I think they are great units, but so is Delorme. Thanks
  13. Chrysalides, I agree. I have tried the Oregons and the dakota. I did not like the touchscreen. The 62s was nice but I kept going back to the PN-40 and 60. I like the buttons better. I and now using a Etrex 30 and it is a learning curve for the button layout. It is getting better and I really like the size and accuracy of it. The reason I am saying the PN-60 is that you have the maps with it and you do not have to dowload or buy anything. It is a lot easier to use than it used to be. No matter what everyone who wants a new unit should look at them and play around with them to see if it is for you. Thanks
  14. I would go with the Delorme PN-60. It has all the maps you will need. I know you can get free maps for Garmin, but it is all in one package and the battery life is very good. Thanks
  15. I got mine for 228 with free shipping might want to rethink the price I think $180 is a steal. Saving $48 is not a good enough discount? Is yours new?
  16. Try Ebay. I just sold one of mine there for $220. Thanks
  17. I just sold my Nuvi 500. You can get them used under $150 on Ebay. Check the feedback and you should be OK. I do not know of anyone else. Thanks
  18. The Delorme PN-60 is also a great unit. Thanks
