  1. I can't find that cache in the website. I have a couple bugs wandering around up there, does someone have a link to this cache? You can't find it because it's an unpublished cache. He's using as an inventory holder for some trackables that he has. Looks like he's had a few in there for a number of months. To see what he has in there you have to go to his profile and then look at the trackables section. Just look for the TBs that have a location of "Just Pissing People Off". To me it says alot about his character. I have a fix (sort of) for buttheads like this guy: I make a metal or wood tag with the tracking number on it and send it out connected to a picture of the coin. If you already lost the coin and if you didn't take a picture, you can usually find one online and print it out. Then put it in a coin protector you can buy online. I don't send any coins out anymore. It makes it nice for events, because people get to see the coin, AND it gets to travel, so to say. Those buttheads can steal my coin, but they can't steal the number! It doesn't matter if they "register" the find again as the photocopied coin will be in a cache somewhere and someone else will register it as a find and then they once again, don't "have it". It completely pisses of the thief!

I hope people in his area go grab his bugs and coins and make them "disapear"....what a butt.....

  4. Holy Crap BATMAN! I couldn't figure out why I liked the FTF so much, and this wonderful cacher has pulled my taffy brain into a logical shape! I just realized why I'm a hound! I LOVE opening a log and seeing..............................nothing. Like Lewis and Clark, exploring the Northwest territory and logging new species, plants and other interesting things, I hunt for my own curiosity! I'm not being competitive, just adventuresome!

  6. Yeah, I didn't know you could have it sent to your phone. Now i'm REALLY sailing the 7 caches seas! AAAAARRRR MATEY! (and a wink out of the eye without the eyepatch)
  7. It took a little over 3 months to nail my first FTF. I have only been caching for 1 year, 4 months and 2 days. I've only found 276 caches, of which 25 are FTF. Am I a hound? Bet your sweet a** I am! Does anyone care how many i've found? Just me, baby....just me......I will eventually tire of it, in fact I passed up 3 of 5 today due to distance, gas and time and still came in second on those 2. I get the auto-notify and I sometimes don't even put socks on.....i'm out that door, and I mean N-O-W. if it were a sunken pirate ship full of gold would you still ask someone to "stay away"? FTF is my booty, and i'm out for as much loot as possible. I did my "time" being pissy over the "FTF HOUNDS". Get over it, I did. Now I have 25 under my belt. As you find more and ALSO learn each "hiders" modus operandi, you will get more FTF. Until then, keep the car gassed, the velcro shoes nearby and fresh batteries at all times! And if you are ever in southwest Wyoming, keep your eyes peeled for a little red Mazda 4-wheel drive flying the "Jolly Roger! AAARRRRRGH MATEY!
  8. When I started this thread, I didn't realize there would be 69 responses by the time I went back, but am very glad that this topic still resides on the forum! I'm also glad other dangerous items/hides are being discussed as I'm learning new stuff as well. I agree with both sides, not just my own on issues with kids and cache ideas. I also now dump contents out after the incident, and use more common sense as I am still relatively new to the sport. Thank you all for your contributions and thanks to the moderator for letting this topic stay.....I think it's a valid discussion and I look forward to reading future posts on other dangerous items, etc....
  9. I love my Garmin ETREX Legend! Reasonably priced even at Walmart, (around 139.00) but buy a windshield mount, as too much sliding off the dash messes them up after a year of heavy duty dropping. I have another one coming from AMAZON.COM (cheapest place i've found $103.00) and also bought the lighter adapter for power, because I hate buying batteries. I like GARMIN brand, because you can click on "send to GPS" on a GEOCACHING.COM webpage and it sends it straight into your GPS! (Garmin is the only GPS supported by GEOCACHING.COM) Most importantly, buy one you can hook into your computer. The ease of using software to load up your unit well offsets the pain in the butt of manually entering data, plus, after you get "really" hooked, you can get software like MAPSOURCE and really go nuts! YEAH MAN GO!!!!!
  10. I just found the answer to my question below. Go to "my account", and it's listed on the right side under "Premium features". On the website under member features (I just paid for membership) it has: Caches along a route-After uploading a route to Geocaching.com you can get a Pocket Query of caches along that route! It's one of the latest features available to Premium members. How do I make and then upload a route?
  11. I am VERY DISAPOINTED in someone who visited this cache--GCXNRV in Atlantic City, Wyoming! I found the cache okay, but some idiot put a broadhead point inside! (this is a VERY SHARP modern, metal arrowhead used for hunting big game! In case that person hadn't noticed, this is a FAMILY activity! If my grandaughter had stuck her hand in there first, she would have probably required stitches! I didn't see the thing in there either, and almost cut myself! Would you leave bleach or Drano in a toddler's cup? Same thing! Geeze! I don't know who put it there (I found it in the paper log, but not online log) and am going to email the body of this message to the cachers who visited this location, so they know. This was totally irresponsible!
