  1. If only I would of seen this sooner, bummer. Maybe next year.
  2. Thanks for the great idea & tutorial. Made up my templates yesterday in Publisher and will try to buy the coins and marker today! Am working on two ideas and will test to see what comes out the best.
  3. No goal for the standard TB (TB3F5GA), it has a keychain with my wife's name on it. The Jeep TB (TB12W8X) who know what heppend to it. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.as...a8-79d35f3eb0c0
  4. Why do people take a TB from a cache and not move them along? I can see some people "collecting" coins, but just a plain old TB dog tag, come on people. Have had one Jeep TB fall victim to an Archived Cache (why not place contents into another cache?) And one TB placed in a new cache only never to be seen again.
  5. After reading the hint I had to go through all pages to make sure nobody guessed the #. I think Sgt.Mikal guessed correct so I will go with 2012.
  6. I am not the CO. after checking your profile, you are in the UK... That would be quite a flight just to take part in a Pub series.
  7. was just trying to show an example of one and how you could set it up.
  8. Check out GZ133C2 it's a pub multi-cache in Victoria BC.
  9. I have one on our travel trailer so that fellow cachers can "log" us on our camping trips. Look for us starting Saturday headed towards Whistler and Kelowna, BC.
  10. Nice to meet you yesterday, the coins look great! My wife actually would like another if you have any extras.
  11. We had the 60csx for about a week. Took it back because of not getting a signal out in the wide open (could have just been the unit itself was bad). We now have the PN-40 and love the paperless feature and the maps that come with it are better then what comes on the 60csx.
  12. Well, my wife didn't want to deal with it and thinks its crap compared to our old Sport Track so back to REI it goes and a new PN40 is in the mail.
  13. We left the gps on the entire 3 mile hike up to the lake and when we got there is when we got the error. We sat for 30 minutes to eat and no change to the signal either.
  14. Picked up the CSx Friday for our weekend of Hiking & Caching. I have read about all the praise about having great reception and almost paperless GeoCaching. Seemed to me that once we got a signal it wouldn't lose it, but if we were narrowing in on a GeoCache it would change the distance from a couple feet in one direction up to 100 feet the other way. Granted most of our caches were in forested areas but isn't that one of the hilights of the 60csx to have a good signal in the woods? We reached a lake at about 3000ft and got an error saying that no signal was available, how could that be out in the open? We missed 3 caches at that lake because of this. My wife wants to return it and get the Dakota 20 or stick with our old Sport Track Pro, didn't have a good signal in the woods, but was always accurate. Thanks for letting me rant.
  15. We have an older Magellan Sport Track Pro GPS unit and are thinking upgrading. I see that a lot of new models use Lithium Ion batteries, but there are a few new ones that still use AAs. What is the overall consensus on the battery issue?
  16. (They are already activated) That's what I needed to know, thanks
  17. I went to geocaching.com and to activate a travel bug you need the tracking # and activation code. When I got my Jeep bug in the mail it didn't come with an activation code. What is the process if you didn't get an activation code?
  18. Thanks for those who mentioned tigergps.com I placed an order on buydig.com (we bought out digital camera from them) and took until yesterday for them to tell me the item is on backorder. I called TigerGPS this morning to see if they had one, and it has already been shipped! It was $10 more then buydig.com but its worth it to get it faster.
  19. Prices Reduced!!! $65 plus shipping for the Deluxe, and I will throw in a extra filter $25 for the Microlite plus shipping
  20. Hope I posted this in the correct area. It says GPS garage sale, but didn't see a place for other items to be sold. I have two unused portable systems for sale, would be great to quench your thirst on long Caching searches. These both attach directly to your Wide Mouth Nalgene bottles, adapters are available to narrow mouth at places like REI. #1 is the First Need Deluxe with extra filter, which would sell at REI for $135, yours for $100 plus shipping. See link for description: http://www.generalecology.com/firstn....htm#FirstNeed #2 is the First Need Microlite, which sells online for $45, yours for $35 plus shipping. See link for description: http://www.generalecology.com/Microlite.htm
  21. Thanks to everyone for the reply. I found a good deal on www.buydig.com Now I will go check out my local Costco to see what they have and decide from there.
