So if I buy CN2008 and have more than one mapping unit that i want those map sets on do I have to purchase multiple unlock codes or what?

Not sure how your rural address works, but I can tell you the fields that you can search by (you can put in what you know and it gives you options to select from): Street Number Street (includes things like "Route 2") City State Postal Code (Zip) Country For kicks and to see how it might work, I tried putting 13254 in the postal code section, but apparently, that's not a valid zip code. I also tried 195 as a street number and "Route 2" as a street name in Oklahoma and it came up with a spot on a road labelled E1515, just south of Hartshorne. I first used MapSource. However, I just tried it on my GPS (similar fields) and just puttine in Oklahoma and Route 2, it came up with Route 2, Hartshorne, 74547. The location on the map appears to be same as the MapSource one. I can't find how to put a postal code in on teh GPS. Although I don't know whether any of my attempts are valid for what you are looking for, I hope it helps. The enhanced 911 addresses are as such, sorry I should have been clearer i.e. 13254 (is the house number or street number) CR (county road) 1530 (street or road name) ada, ok 74820 is the postal code so that address would read like this 13524 CR 1530 Ada, OK 74820 Hopefully that is clearer for everyone and thanks for the help i dont know if that is a real address or not

I have a question for you folks with CN 2008. In the county that I live in in okla we have enhanced 911 and the rural address look like 13254 CR 1530, while some counties here dont have it and still have address such as Rt.2 box 195 or HC 98 Box 314 etc. my question is will CN 2008 find such address before I lay down the cash I would like to know that, I will probably get it anyway but I was wondering

I havent found a funtion or a data field yet on the 60CSx that would allow me to see the temperature in either F or C degrees of temperature, so why is the option there? Am I missing a data field that would show me the current temperature or is this something internal or maybe something in a future software update that would allow it to be used.

I thought that there used to be a way to search near what area or zip code you chose by difficulty. I have gone to the advanced search page to look for caches by difficulty, but this optioin is elluding me. Is there a way to search for caches by difficulty?

I didnt get my pocket query on monday as scheduled. That is that day that my monthly membership ran out, I think, and then I got a notice that paypal had renewed it for me, ok good. The next time that went to the pocket query generator I had to agree to the license agreement again. Is this the way it will be every month? How do I cancel monthly membership and go back for the yearly deal, because it is worth the price for sure but I would just rather do it once a year?

Well the tech guys at msn said that was not an option in the msn software and there was not a patch. They said they would put it on their list for their next version. I'm going back to IE.

I tried that but am in the process of switching over to msn, am wondering why now, and there is not that option in the msn explorer browser. I spend about two hours online with msn tech the other day and still couldnt get them to figure out what I was talking about. They couldnt seem to grasp the idea of a mobile favorite. maybe i wont be switching after all.

Hey thanks Leatherman , that has been driving me crazy, works like a charm. Now if i could just figure out how to browse the internet while it was in its cradle I would be all set. Any tips on that I have created a modem connection but cannot connect for some reason.

Ok you experts I have a question. Say I just want to save a web page to my desk top, and then drag it into my ipaq 2215, where do i drag and drop it too, what folder etc. I have tried to do this a couple of times and when i do it it throws the images into the picture folder and the text and the html into a document folder, so that I cannot look at it as a web page. what am I doing wrong. In addition to this what if this particular page has links in it how do I save it so that i can click on those links and view them offline as well. Can you do this or am I all mixed up? I am running the lates version of activesync and my pc is windows ME, using MSNexplorer8. Thanks for the help. How can you change your premium subscription from monthly to yearly? I thought I was just paying for a month to see how it was but it reoccurs monthly. I would rather do it yearly.

I am probably messing this up but maybe you can help. I downloaded gpxsonar and it works well, just one kink in my case. The distance to all caches shows to be five thousand something miles away. In my pocket query I use my home zipcode and ask for up to 500 caches of any kind within 100 miles and they vary from about a mile away to 100 miles away. But when I open the gpx file in sonar from my ipaq 2215 they all show to be five thousand and some change away. What gives, I cant tell what I did wrong. Appreciate your replies. Traveling Jones

Man glad to see so many paddling geocachers!!! We have an OT Penobscot 17 also. I picked it for all four of us to use, and havent been disapointed, it is a great canoe. I really like this canoe very much and dont think you will be disapointed. Maybe one of these days the wife will OKAY me to buy a solo, but for now I dont mind paddling the penob solo, canadian style. Also see any of Bill Masons books they are very very good paddling reads.

No troubles with GPSnow or gps geek, both previously mentioned above, oh I have also gotten good service from gpscity as well.

Well it looks like I am going with the ipaq 2215 in a couple of days. So now you ppc users what software do I need for it, or rather what is your recommendation? I know there are some arguments over Mobipocket, whats the alternative to that?

I am currently trying to decide between the 2215 and the 1945. I am leaning towards the 2215, but evergreenhiker and dacoma can you tell me why you went with the particular models that you did?

I dont see anywhere on my page where i can delete a query. Another question can you edit a query and then re-submit the info to run the query after the edit? For example I am new to this so today i ran one and wanted all the caches of anykind any container that I havent found from my zip code up to 100 miles away. I think I had it set to 500 caches. On accident I had checked "have not been found" instead of "I havent found". I was notified almost immediately that I had mail. So I check it and it has the query there with the 8 caches that havent been found. Okay thats my mistake. So i go back to it and edit and resubmit the info to run the query again, but I havent gotten anything. I dont know what I did wrong. So then I run another one that is supposed to run just one time, nothing no email with the query, the preview showed 444 caches on that one. So I am not sure what is going on or what I am doing wrong. Also where you choose the format that you want the query emailed as it has the box for .gpx or .loc files then the choice for send also as ebook format. That leads me to believe that I will get a .gpx or .loc and an ebook query if I check the ebook format also. The one query that I did get only came as ebook and not .gpx also. So am I screwing this thing all up? How do you delete a query? Well I will try another and see what happens. Thanks for the reply. I found the delete button bigger than dallas! So forget that question, but the others still stand thanx.

Ok guys thanks for the info. I am not trying to start a war. I didnt realize this was a ford and chevy thing, (dare I say Garmin and Magellan thing, no). Just trying to get a feel for them. Anybody else with ideas?

Ok I am looking at these things trying to sort through them. Which is better for paperless caching, Palm operating system or Pocket Pc with windows? I am sure that there are people here that are using both kinds so lets here the pros and cons for each. Not limited to but focused for paperless caching. Not limited because it will be used for work also. Thanks for the info.
