  1. On the GPSr go to "setup" then select "geocache". Now you will be in Geocache Setup where you will see Geocache symbols. Highlight the "Find" box. (Most likely yours will have the flag). Press enter and now you will have a page of symbols. Find the treasure chest and highlight it, press enter. There you be. You can change the found symbol the same way.
  2. Well, not sure what you're asking specifically but I have a JEEP with the in-dash factory RNAV multi CD/GPS/Bluetooth/Sirius Radio/DVD & rear seat monitor. I see no need for a nüvi when using it. Ok, do you use a sd card to put POIs on the GPS?f not, how do you get the cache coords on the in dash unit?
  3. Just bought a new Jeep with all the fancy stuff including in dash GPS. Has anyone put data on the in dash unit and used it for civil (no off road) routing? It would be nice to not have to use the Nuvi. Still using the trusty 60csx for the nitty gritty
  4. We found a cache in the desert that was the size of a steamer trunk. The bottom was filled with 6" of concrete. Don't think it moved around much.
  5. Don't waste time on caches that have recent DNFs. Don't waste time on caches that haven't been found within the last month. A lot of cachers don't post DNFs because it makes them look bad. Don't spend more than 7 minutes looking for a cache.
  6. Go ahead and break the bank and get the app here My link. I have been using the app and it works great. If battery useage on the phone wasn't a problem, this app would be all you need.
  7. If you aren't personally going to check the cache, leave it archived. With that many DNFs, we wouldn't waste our time on it.
  8. I have a Nuvi 765 so how do I bulk delete info in the Favorites? Any special folder where they are?
  9. My 60cSx sounds like a castanet so I am looking for a dead one for parts.
  10. Platinum membership should let you armchair cache. Think about it, no worry about rain, mud, wind, snow, heat, mosquito bites, thorns poison ivy, getting stuck in the sand etc. Just sit in your armchair, cruise the available caches, pick one and log it!
  11. I did, a brass one outside a good BBQ joint and yep, the picture is gone. At least there was a real cache there so not all was lost.
  12. For those that want to use the iPhone, iPad, or iPod to cache with, here is an attachable GPS unit. GPS receiver
  13. You can go HERE and select the models you want to compare.
  14. You might want to take a look at this for your pod. My link
  15. Just looked for ours. They are gone also.
  16. I have been using Maha chargers for years. My most recent one is a MH-C9000. It does a lot more than just charging batteries and might be more than the average battery user needs. BTW, the C9000 has a 3 year warranty, your broken one might be under warranty too.
  17. Same here. Not expensive at all for us, we consider it very cheap entertainment.
  18. Find a benchmark and compare your coords with those listed for the mark.
  19. I think I have hit on a faster way to power cache. We can just drive by and take a picture of it Should be able to knock out the ET Hwy in short order.
  20. We just completed a power trail that a lot of "teams" have done. They have a habit of jumping cache containers and logs and with all the hoopla of speed, they sometimes forget to replace the cache. When you come up to a pile of rocks in the desert with no cache and all the rest on the trail have been in rock piles, we leave a new cache container. What's really neat is going to a cache for the first time and seeing your name on the log dated the day before
  21. They fired some hamsters so they dont wanna talk about it. Nothing better than toasted hamster on a bun,
