  1. We put a NA on a cache yesterday - for the past 12 months it has been a lid only, with a couple of NMs.... the CO immediately posted a note in response to our 'premature' NA log saying he'd fix it..... NA logs are good at smoking out sleepy COs!
  2. True - but only because the Wherigo has been all but left to rot by HQ over the years....
  3. This sounds great, count me as a +1.... I usually use the 'Logs' suggested by m0bean above, but having the log and photos right there would be a nice feature to use sometimes....
  4. Which stats are you looking at? FTFs don't exist on any stats on geocaching.com - they do at Project-GC though.... you need to mark up your log with some code for it to add the FTF to your stats there - I use ***FTF***, you can also use a bookmark list to do similar....
  5. So for some these challenges really are quite challenging. HQ might just see this as a success....
  6. We've only found a few, and they have all been wet inside.... I remember hauling one up from the bottom of a lake once - I was surprised how dry it was, but it was still wet and gross!
  7. We have a weekend in the Wangaratta area at the end of the month, virgin territory for us. We'd qualify likely 3x over (apart from events) by accident I'd think...
  8. What happened to the poor old Wherigo??
  9. We have a short interstate caching trip booked, so will passively get this one, except the event I think.... but that is easily fixed...
  10. I can't see why not.... I must admit it sounds like a maintenance disaster though!
  11. I fully expect that if I asked the local council here to hide something on a public reserve, the first response would be 'a what?'.... then after a protracted delay and a lot of stuffing around the next response would be 'no'.....
  12. Official entities don't organise them here - but we need some cooperation to dispose of the rubbish without cost. Then the bureaucracy swings into action. We're just thinking of doing it without any approval, and paying to dump the rubbish ourselves.
  13. They might have been reserved for special use?
  14. I figure that we hide stuff well to stop muggles finding it, or to show off a cool spot.... not to stop cachers finding them....
  15. Us too. I can hardly remember the last time I flipped through the souvenirs I had earned over the years.... It became less than fun to try for a 28 day streak for us, despite us having a 16 day holiday to places we've never cached before, right in the middle of the challenge. Those other 12 days would be hard - work and school commitments - and don't forget this is winter here - so all this after work/school caching is in the dark! And we ran out of local stuff ages ago, especially after last month. We could have done it (and we still could from tonight) - but it becomes a chore...... everyone I've ever spoken to, who has done long streaks is glad when they finish.....
  16. On public land here, we don't ask for permission.... except for National Parks. I figure if public access is allowed, a cache is too....
  17. +1 Maybe future streak-like challenges should be to celebrate an equinox, then the whole globe is on an equal footing....
  18. It certainly sounds like premium isn't something you need then....
  19. Given you aren’t prepared to pay, then they haven’t lost anything, have they?
  20. You're lucky - if I did a PQ with that criteria, it would be empty more often than not! Sometimes it might have 3 or 4..... You should set up a notification for events in your area - then you will receive an email when events are published.
  21. Ours have gone live anywhere from 10 minutes to 7 days after submitting..... you get used to the suspense!
  22. We finally got our 2-day souvenir today, or should I say we got it tomorrow..... 9 July 2023..... We found caches on 3 and 4 July, and then more today on 8 July. Geocaching and dates/times - it's never boring!
