  1. Number 3 is the prettier side of TheCookieCrew (Alison, Hannah and Daniel), whilst number 4 is the uglier side (me!!) Cheers, Mike
  2. They probably thought that someone was taking the pee, Mike
  3. Erh that didn't work then Well done guys top decision ! got to say that I think you have saved us all a lot of issues by rethinking...... Thanks again. Mike
  4. Well done to all those that have helped out.... But I had to laugh at this 'cos round my way this would be kinda offensive to call someone due to the links with the Rowntree's Yorkie advertising campaign, i.e. Not for Girls..... if you see what I mean.... Not intended to cause any offence, just tickled me.... Mike
  5. Took some doing but I have moved the mk5 up to £10.50 (can't give my money away these days!! ), keep bidding you may eventually get above my max bid !! I would love a mk1 as well to complete the set, so go on Tim let it ride !!! Regards, Mike
  6. Well it had to happen, having gone missing for 9 months in the hands of a cacher who had only found 9 caches before, one of our TB's Hubba Hubba Hoob has re-appeared however it would appear that we must have upset the cachers with our numerous (3) emails requesting information on the whereabouts of the TB as they decided to replace a cache with a TB..... see Doctors cave cache in Jamica !!!! should anyone be in the area if they could recieve my 6 year sons TB we would much appreciate it. Sorry for the Ramble.!!! Mike TheCookieCrew

  8. Probably writing in the notebook, so that they can log it as a find later.... , I have friends in the police that are into Geocaching too.... Mike
  9. Have you ever noticed just how far you can drive company cars on the starter motor, no, well feel free to give it a try, my experience was driving through a ford just a little too fast, when the car cut out, now the water was above the door sill, so getting out that way would have cost the company loads, the window isnt/wasnt an option, 6ft 3 18 stone (you get the picture), with no one around to give me a push, I thought what the hell, engine wouldnt start, so into first gear, foot off clutch, turn starter motor over, moved forward 2ft, repeated 8 or nine times (makes a horrible noise), but vola! out of the for with not so much as a damp toe..... After a few dozen attempts at turning the engine over it finally caught, and off home I went.... Only to give the car back a month of so later and take delivery of a 4x4....!!! (had to give that back now as well!!) Wonder who ended up buying the car with the rusty engine.... Mike
  10. Sounds good, I too have used my GPS to correct the speedo on my car, and guess what, If the tyres were correctly inflated then the GPS and speedo were spot on, slightly deflated and the speedo was approx 8% out (over !!), so if you are constantly getting a higher reading on your speedo thatn gps try inflating the tyres to the manufacturers recommended setting, and try again.... Not saying it will work for every speedo, but it did for mine..... Mike
  11. Should be there too, 2 for beef, and 2 for kids meals.... MikeC TheCookieCrew
  12. I too am confused, 'cos I use GASK (must remember to register before this weekend ), and GPXSonar together without issue, As the previous post says you just use the same gpx file for both, then export the field notes from gpxsonar back into GASK (which is a built in feature of both products)..... Maybe I am missing something ? MikeC
  13. Not necessarily, I use Tomtom to get me to the location, memory map to find the entrance footpath etc, then vito navigator ii to get me to the cache, the display is very similar to the legend I have (which stays in the backpack in case of accidents!!). Once at the cache I use gpxsonar to give cache details (and the odd hint or two) before logging my find via gprs with my mobile phone...... A very neat solution..... My wife still likes the paper versions of the details though.... but then again she can program the video and I can't...... Mike (as work in IT)
  14. you can use a product such as spb's pocket plus (available on Handango ) to provide multiple web pages, it also fixes a couple of other bugs with today.... Mike
  15. I use an IPAQ 2210 whilst out on the hunt, and as with the Garmin V 'cos I charge it in the car in between caches I have never had a problem, I use a SysonChip CF GPS that doesn't seem to kill the batteries to quickly. Even without the charging between caches I get approx 3 hours on the battery...... Nice, but again not a cheap setup.... Mike
  16. I may be jumping to conclusions, however is it a coincidence that this TB hotel and the one placed near Cardiff airport have been hit See the quote taken from elsewhere in these forums. Could it be that someone is targeting TB hotels, as these tend to be more personal than hitting a cache...... ARGH!
  17. 012 is the prettier members of the cookiecrew, with dad taking the picture.... Cheers, and thanks again for the lovely cache....
  18. Paul, thanks for the timely repost.... Had seen the thread early then forgotten all about it... We shall be there, with the minor cookies, we will hopefully get to hit the local caches too. Mike
  19. The dark picture number 4 is 3 of the 4 cookiecrew members, why what a lovely geocaching t-shirt that handsome fellow is wearing, I wonder where he purchased such a fine item...... Nice TheCookieCrew (Mike)
  20. Nice piece of invetigation work, Quincy would have been proud of you all..... A little naughty though me thinks, fancy doing caches twice just to get a record.... Anyway, each to their own...
  21. Having reviewed the pictures in the HCC bash, does anyone think the one on the right looks a little like Derrek Reed, who I have seen post here from time to time..... If it is (probably not though) then I don't know where the 2C's comes from. Mike
  22. Just my thoughts on their location...... If they ARE really experienced cachers that have teamed up then hit some caches together the chances are that they would have already done all their local ones on their own. Therefore it owuld make more sense that they have commuted to an area with a high density of caches available. In short they could live anywhere...... Maybe the clue is in the name 2C's, clive and colin ? Chris and Cliff...? who knows ???? Maybe the UK stats page can be off assistance...... Nice....
  23. Windlove, many thanks for the unbiased article, I guess as I live fairly local to these two caches I should head out and do them..... Like you say maybe on boxing day !!! Cheers, Mike
  24. Having just downloaded the file, it appears that this gives you the specific icons, such as virtual, traditional, multi, unknown etc.... This is useful, however were do I download a file that gives me the information broken down by the above categories ? If I use GC:UKs' function, all I get is hidden, found or not found ? Cheers, Mike
