  1. Only on the Garmin Montana GPSr Did you miss my previous post? You CAN change the arrow, or vehicle, displayed on the map screen.
  2. I'd be interested in trading a CF Geocoin (see my page) if interested for the Oregon cradle
  3. Currently still avail but a few people are interested and will be emailing them $$ monday
  4. As far as I know any GPS will work without maps... it will simply point you directly to the cache (or any other position on the earth for that matter) The maps add details that can be helpful (ie: it's across a river, highway, mountain....) They can also give driving guidance if they are routable DD
  5. Unit runs fine... I'm not sure what the battery part at the top is referring to (in the link you provided), but further down in the specifications "Batteries: Two high-capacity or lithium-ion AA batteries for up to 16 hours of use "
  6. It takes AA batteries.... (2 of them) I use NIMH rechargeables and they last between 9-12 hours depending on the size, age and how crazy i'm pressing buttons lol It's sitting here so i guess i can ship it in a day or two... DD I'm interested-just need to see what happens with my bum Explorist first. How is the battery life? I'm a little nervous about not being able to shove AA batteries in it. Also, once I talk to Magellan tomorrow, how fast can you ship if I pay via PayPal?
  7. Selling my Oregon 300, has a tiny scratch in the top left corner of the screen (looks like a pencil point mark, it's that small) Still has the Zagg Invisible shield on it, but that can be easily removed if desired, then there is hardly anything noticable. Original box, original USB cable (Unused) all original documentation and CD, Garmin Carabiner clip GPS is loaded with the fol maps: World Base map, Ibycus Topo, Ontario Trails, MetroGuide Canada, BlueChart Americas (Canada & USA), City Navigator North America (Routing), Topo USA I can also load on some Geocaches if you'd like Let me know if your interested... 8. What are the green numbers listed on cacher's profiles? Eg: Amazon Annie Found: 5243 (+51) DD
  9. Today when I logged in and click on the "View larger map" to see other surrounding caches the map opens but no caches at all are displayed. Not even the one that I am on the cache page for??? I am on a regular PC, not an IPAD, IPHONE or anything else, and I have used this same computer probably 5000 times to view these maps. I emptied the cache in Firefox to see if that would help - nothing, same problem. I opened the same cache page and map in Internet explorer and it seems to work fine thee... DD
  10. Thanks, I was just wondering why no one had discovered it since.... But I'm always up for a picture DD
  11. Just wondering what ever happened to these coins???? Mine was discovered twice, then seems to have disappeared... (Canadian Forces Geocoin) http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?tracker=TB1MRMW Any news? DyverDown
  12. You can get answers to a lot of these type of questions on the wikki (and download the manual from online too) Saves waiting for a reply, and there may be features you'll find useful that you may not know about DD
  13. I would have to agree with everyone else... I would try deleting all the gpx files on the unit, then load a single PQ with all the caches you want in it. This also makes upkeep simpler - you can delete the single gpx file and upload the new one with the found caches removed (unless you want to keep them in there for some reason)and any new caches added.... DD
  14. If someone is interested in the GPS and NOT the windshield mount and cigarette lighter adapter I would be interested in those two items. I realize you want to probably sell them as a group, so I'll post this offer and it may help entice someone who is not looking for these accessories with it... DD
  15. I am going for quality.... even if it means getting wet!
  16. There is a check box in the query's that you can select to include caches NOT FOUND BY ME. I usually just download ones I have not found. You can always run a separate query to DL all your found caches by reversing the options (check FOUND BY ME) This way you can have them separate. DD
  17. WOW... I was bored this morning and decided (against my better judgement to skim through this previously unread thread) In my opinion, if you don't like the rules, you can always exercise your right to not play. I know it has been mentioned before; Groundspeak has rules. If you disagree with them, you are of course entitled to speak your mind... but if the answer you get is not what you agree with, want to hear, or like... well... it's still an answer... I guess if you really want to disagree with the way things are being run you could always buy Groundspeak and change things, or start your own Geocaching website, but really that seem a little overboard. I would still say that just not participating and letting Groundspeak know that you feel so strongly that you have to terminate your account is a realistic option. Yes, that would mean you can no longer LOG your finds, but you can still cache, still go to events, even still visit the website under an assumed name and get coordinates for free. Just that number, which Geocaching was never supposed to be about would not roll over 1 more time... In the end it all comes down to how important your stance really is to you. Will adhering to Groundspeaks rule so morally corrupt you that you need to leave, or can you agree to disagree, tell them so, even publicly in the forums, get an answer (agreeing or disagreeing with you), let it go and head out and find another cache... Just my opinion... I in no way mean this to be argumentative... but only post it to offer perhaps perspective. Dyverdown
