  1. That's currently not possible. Look at the 'wish list' under the pinned threads on the Benchmark forum. Yes, quite so, this is a Groundspeak issue and not a GSAK issue. Please also note that I am not an employee of Groundspeak and have no assocation what so ever with them, so I really have no idea when this "feature" will become available. Most Benchmark users that want to input bulk Benchmarks download the data sheets then use the program bm2gpx to convert to a GPX file that can be loaded into GSAK bm2gpx?
  2. Please explain your request. GSAK currently allows for Benchmarks to be added to any database and there is also a "Benchmak" type to filter them out. Guess we (not I, but we) should have explained that better. Looking for a way to get PQ's of Benchmarks.
  3. How about counting smiley faces for Benchamarks? The kids work just as hard to find them so far as some of the caches. But, I would take PQ's of Benchmarks.
  4. Drats, I knew I missed something in that big old list. But, I am new to this PQ stuff.
  5. Wouldn't the twin antenna on my Rino give it away?
  6. Looks to me like it might be a bouy or something, or the coordinates are a little off. Either way, it looks like a fun trip if I was closer to it. But, at 1096 miles as the crow flies I am not doing it in the afternoon.
  7. PQ this Name: Put it in Select all the days Show as many caches as you want to see maximum any type any container updated in last 7 days Select you starting point put in your radius placed during the last week output is your choice set your format get your paperless if you need it compress it into a zip Submit Let me know if it works
  8. Hmm, I am on my 6th Jeep right now, having owned 3 at one time, and still have the 2 currently. Looking to get another 2 Jeeps sometime this summer, another wrangler for the Mrs, and a SJ or a MJ for a quick camping vehicle. We GeoCache as a family, we Jeep as a family, shoot we do lots of stuff as a family. So, it was a easy leap to the name.
  9. I had a similar problem with a company satcom that included your location. Truck in my driveway went about 145 miles away in an hour, moved 45 miles in a new direction the next hour, then came home at 160 MPH in the next hour. All this in a Truck with a 74 MPH governor on it. Oh, and the hourly updates were for the truck turned off, when driving/idling it would update the company every 10 minutes with a location. I didn't mind the computers making GPS errors, what I hated was having to attend a Safety Meeting, a company vehicle orientation, and the chewing out from the safety department for my "reckless" driving style.
  10. Are Volcano's Non-Point Pollution Sources?
  11. Nevermind, the wife just found it
  12. Semi trucks!? Heck, no! Sissy will be wanting to cache without me! "Here's one that says I can get my truck in there no problem." ADDED: Besides I don't know if I'd trust it, anyway. Far too many people have no concept what it's like to drive a "Biggie Sized" vehicle. A Surburan or Excursion ain't one. It not just that you can get back there, but low lying limbs, utility wires, getting it turned around, and more. I'd probably ignore it. Good point. As a friend explained, it would be nice to know that you have a chance of getting that beast turned around. It would also be good to know you can't get it turned around anywhere neaby also. As far as trusting attributes, I would put that in the same catagory as terrain ratings. I think they will stabalize, and get corrected and brought to some sort of normality over time. This community is great for that. There may be some jokers that will post "parking nearby" on an island cache, but those do tend to sort out. I was thinking of this when I started reading this thread. I agree, I never cache from the Freightliner, but I have run a few coordinates to see if anything is inside a mile of where I am, Never had any luck to date, but I never go anywhere any more either. On the 4x4 required, how about having check boxes next to 4x4, ATV, Motorcycle, etc, The boxes would be for allowed, not allowed, and only. Might make it a little more complicated, but almost everybody understand the big red line thru a picture as being a not allowed, but not sure how to show only in a picture.
  13. This is what I was thinking, Add a checkbox, that could open a second box for them to put their description of what "Needs Attention" into, Then they would only have to submit one form and it would take away having to open the cache page back up to make a "Needs Attention" log after you logged the find. Maybe that would slow down the Getting Started Forum questions about it. Does that make sense? I just worked 14 hours, so I am a little tired.
  14. 2 Rino 120's and a Rino 110. Soon to add a Rino 130 to the family.
  15. We use the Rino series, currently have 2 Rino 120's and 1 Rino 110. Don't recommend the 110 to anybody except my enemies. I like my 120, the screen is a little small for traveling, but I have a laptop for that function anyway. The radio is nice when dealing with others who own a Rino. Oh, and I am looking at a 130 soon, that way 4 out of 5 of us will be carting a GPS. Then I will hope they make a 140 so I can get all of us on one.
  16. What's GSAK, I will ask... Thanks. --Marc January 22, 2005 @ 6:01 PM N40°46.565' W073°58.756' GeoCaching Swiss Army Knive = GSAK try this thread: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=86237
  17. Didn't know there were 4x4 trails on LI, every time I have been there all I saw was people, houses, and civilization. But, I know some Jeepers out there too, so I will ask them.
  18. And when you come to OKC holler and you should be able to find some people to go out with you after some caches.
  19. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...f2-5444d141eabb There are several others around that I have on my list. Plus I have 1 I am looking at putting out.
  20. Enter your home coordinates and start clearing a circle around home. My kids are working on a 5 Mile circle away from our house.
  21. 22 Megs got me all the maps in mapsource from SF to Bakersfield, over to Barstow, and then every map that includes I-40 26 Megs and I got all of that and all the way down to LA. And for 56 Meg I was able to pull up all maps above, plus I took 66 all the way up to Chicago, got all of OKC, St Louis, and Chicago. So, that was all of SF, SD, LA, OKC, StL, and the windy city for 56 Megs. So, why would 56 Megs be cutting it close?
  22. Justs tells Stats1 to quit poking me. I go out there when I have questions, been there a few times so far. Just put it on the favorites list in X-Chat
  23. Hey aTeamTraen on a Rino you Find 'N Go -> Waypoints -> Either Choice -> Select the Waypoint -> Top Button on the Left -> Reposition Here I have to agree with Welch, I would love a expansion slot for memory. Just put it behind a waterproof cover. And, as Tubemonkey stated, more internal memory. Rubberhead, the Rino series already transfers information. I would like to see all the rest of the GPS units at least be able to transmit and receive on the FRS frequencies. Bluetooth is nice, but it is new technology for development, FRS is already developed and implemented, why not just spread it around? That would get part of what trippy1976 was asking for, but for streaming data wirelessly I can see bluetooth, not IR as it does not work as well in the outdoors. Renegade Knight brought up 10,000 waypoints, what I would prefer is the ability to place the waypoints in the memory, with expansion cards, that would allow you to build memory cards for different functions. And I would have to include the ability to put the waypoints in groups or types also. Or a sort by type. Geobc brought up additional DB fields, that would be a good thing, especially if you allowed us to custom define and name them. Jake - Team A.I. was talking about a larger wriststrap, how about a better place to attach them, maybe even a few places to put them. Not everybody is going to carry their GPS in the same place, and not always does the straps location work. The Hermit Crabs talked about units shutting off. I am about to have to add some additional material inside my Rino in an effort to keep the batteries from shifting. Pablo Mac brought up Mac support, I would like Linux support, Mac's are basically Linux recently, so you can kill both birds real close to each other. As for Johnny Vegas and standard cables, I think that is what USB is suppose to do for Garmin. Now if they can just fix their little problems with it. But, Courparangus has my number 1 complaint, recharge the batteries while in the unit. Get back to the Jeep, plug the unit in, and you can recharge and be ready for more caching when you get to the next area. And for them times when you are not going to get back near civilization how about a solar charger for the recharging ability? As a truck driver who still has friends and family that run the whole nation I would like to see the ability to download POI's from companies like Truck Stops chains, Wal-Marts, Truck Dealers, and whoever all else wants to make a POI pack that you could load. That way you could get a listing of all the ATM's for you bank, all the Taco Bells, Starbucks, Burger Kings, or whoever else for your area/state from their websites. And, for the Rino series, how about a way to dock the GPS in the vehicle and use a external antenna?
  24. Still waiting on a Linux application of that software.
