False...didn't think I was immune, but never got it until I started caching. T/F The next to answer is an Earthcache master (any level Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum)?

Another article about geocaching in The Paper today: Link to article

False, haven't gotten stuck, but have certainly traveled many rural roads that we otherwise wouldn't have ever been on. T of F, the next cacher has completed a Wherigo cartridge and found the cache at the end!

We went caching last weekend. The weather was perfect and we got to do some caches out in the woods. Also nabbed a couple FTFs in the last week! Also spent some time this week downloading the newest version of gsak and some of its macros and then getting our statistics up to date in our profile. Chances of caching this weekend: 100%

False, I've never loaded cache coords into our tomtom. T/F The next cacher will be attending an event this weekend

We are up to 95 ISQ finds! Looks like the weather will be great for tomorrow's BAGO event!

False - But if we ever go to an area that still has an active APE cache, we'd certainly try to find it! The next cacher has found caches in at least five different states.

Actually, looking at his profile, it appears he has recently started geocaching again, though all his hides are still archived.

Those things are not easy to make. Please provide feedback. We didn't let the rain stop us and we made our way through the cartridge and were able to find the cache and claim the FTF honors today (also our 500th find!)! Virtually no problems with the cartridge. I think with the rain and clouds our gps reception wasn't super which might have caused a little trouble with proximity between stops. We ran the cartridge on a pocket pc. We like doing the Wherigo caches, hopefully they will catch on and we'll get more of them placed! As you noted, they are not easy to make! I spent a lot of time creating the one we own.

I will try to make it over there this weekend to give the Wherigo a try! Polaris20 now has 92 ISQ finds! Just curious, anybody know which ISQ has the most find logs?

Before and after the recent changes to the website, I've had problems navigating bookmark lists. For lists with hundreds of caches, when Next Page is clicked, it quite often doesn't show the next 20 caches. This usually occurs for me when going from page 2 to page 3. The page number at the bottom increments, but the same caches are listed as the previous page. I ran into this today using Firefox3. Also, the dropdown to select how many caches to display per page doesn't function correctly once the problem described above occurs.

Polaris20 now has 74 ISQ finds!

Stopped in and got more info on Saturday. As the article stated, there are 3 differently themed multi-caches you can do (but you don't have to do all 3). Each of the 3 multis have nine stages. At each stage you collect a jigsaw puzzle piece and a clue to the next stage. Once you collect all nine jigsaw pieces, you can turn them in at the visitors bureau for a chance at prizes. The stages of the caches may be located in Marshall, Kosciusko, or Allen county as it is a joint effort between the three counties. We found the first stage in two of the caches so far. So is anyone doing the 30 Cache Dash? I know four cachers have logged one of the caches here in Kosciusko county. We've found five so far, and I know that one other cacher has found at least those same five. How about any of the cachers in Allen county, anybody there start on those caches? Anybody find all nine to complete a multi-cache yet?

Pretty interesting that the 25 cache limit is administrative and not ecological. I don't think geocaching was as popular in 2004 as it is now. I'd say the policy needs to be reevaluated. I'm not a big fan of using permits for geocaches. I think it will be a growing trend that will not be good for the hobby. Today, I saw some caches archived "at request of LaPorte County Parks Department due to not having permit. Please remove container as soon as possible. The parks department allows caches, but they must have a permit." Pretty soon parks will need new signs that read "No Dogs, No Skateboarding, No Alcohol, and No Geocaching"

The simplest way to see Indiana caches in order of their placement is by clicking the 'List newest in Indiana' link found on your my account page. Then click the arrows that take you to the last page, which is the oldest caches placed. There are 8655 caches is IN currently.

The Kosciusko county visitors bureau is putting out some caches as part of a contest to promote area attractions. Saw the article on the front page of The Paper. Here is a link if you want to read it: http://www.the-papers.com/OnlinePubs/defau...-14-08-05-20-08

Oops, nope I did not. I thought it would give me an error if .net wasn't installed. Anyway, got it installed now and Wherigo started up. Played the tutorial out in the yard. Looks like this could be a lot of fun! I'd say the mobile crossing waypoint 200 can be added to the list of "Known supported devices" on the Wherigo website. Thanks for the help!

I've seen a few people saying that they are able to use the Wherigo player with their mobile crossing waypoint pda. I recently got one, but can't get the player to work. After installation, I click the icon to start Wherigo, but the program does not start. I don't get any error messages. The GPS is working and is on. I do have some maps loaded, leaving about 30MB free in the flash memory. Any ideas or suggestions?

The DNR rules on geocaching also indicates that only 2 caches (permits) are allowed per individual at any given time. If the DNR is enforcing that limit and the 25 cache maximum per park, it sure seems like there will be a huge number of lost caches. It seems like a bad decision on their part to me. With the increased cost of travel, some mini-vacations to local state parks was looking like a great summer alternative. They won't be nearly as appealing now. On the ISQ note, we have 47 ISQ finds
