  1. Geooh has definitely fixed issues related to downloading cartridges from the cache description in the app! The screenshot above is showing exactly that. How can you know it doesn't when you haven't even obtained the app and tried it yourself?!
  2. GC1MDAP? It downloads with Geooh just fine.
  3. Can you attach a screenshot and the GC number of the cache? I just did a test and it works as expected.
  4. Use the more modern Wherigo player in Geooh GO. It's the only app that can directly download cartridges and is regularly updated unlike the WhereYouGo app.
  5. 1. Yes, as part of the enhanced version via subscription you can use offline maps from MapsForge and also any map tile server. 2. Yes, plus visually showing a route on the map to the cache... or optimized route with multiple caches. 3. Replacement... haven't used a GPSr in over 10 years finding 12,000 caches.
  6. Curious how you came up with that list when you missed the most feature rich geocaching app available... Geooh GO. Just check out the website to see how it matches your qualifications plus lots more.
  7. The Wherigo.com website recently changed the download URL to HTTPS for security reasons where previously that only applied to logins. Apps downloading from the site need to be updated. Since the WhereYouGo is barely being maintained it may not ever be able to directly download cartridges now. But there will be a new Geooh GO release this week to support the change. The iPhone apps have even greater problems.
  8. Not necessarily... the images can be scrolled to show the entire size. You don't want the images to squish which would make them display incorrectly and not allow viewing for the clues. So the page could be set up as intended except the CO didn't plan for viewing on smaller screens only on larger desktop browsers. Geooh is displaying exactly what a desktop window would render if it was resized to a smaller viewport.
  9. Actually, it's very easy to implement. Geooh GO has one.
  10. Yep, same with county information.
  11. Geooh GO can automatically show elevation when selecting a cache... along with county information. No need to go through all the trouble listed above.
  12. That's because it forced a reset of the default app to use on the link. You didn't have to uninstall.
  13. This is probably not an issue with the app, but just how Android operates. When a GC link was presented to you Android gives you a list of several apps that can open the link. You can choose to either open the link once or always with the selected app. If you selected always after selecting the app, then any future links will bypass letting you choose which app (like a browser) and automatically use the previously chosen app instead. This is an Android feature. To undo this you must go into Android settings, then the section for Apps, select the GC app, locate the Open by Default, and then clear defaults. Your phone may have different terms, but basically your need to follow the same path above. Once cleared you will then be presented a list of apps that can open a GC link so you can choose a browser this time. I rarely select always so that I have control over the selection process.
  14. Something like Geooh GO which (besides having a built-in TB scanner and bulk logger) can show your trackables and their logs, photos, and travels?
  15. Could also be the app you are using.
  16. Sorry by date and by type
  17. Geooh GO can create an optimized route for an office list and overlay it on the map.
  18. Groundspeak servers... It's their upvote feature.
