  1. I agree with cav scout. People who want to financially benefit from a good deed are the lowest of low. Its like those people who were ripping others off at ground zero. Dont support this guy. He discredits our military.
  2. using the PSP to geocache? Man, that would be sweet!
  3. Hello! I am going to be in the area in a couple of weeks, for a couple of weeks, and have no transportation. I do have a GPS, and motivation, so if anyone wants to go caching with me while i am there, please let me know! Thanks from Japan. Dwaine from Drainstar
  4. I want to own some geocoins, but getting online, i notice the coins are really expensive. We want to own coins, but I have an issue with paying so much for something we are just going to release into the wild. Does anyone know how I can get hooked up with some GC's without paying an arm or a leg? Thanks.
  5. There are different ways to cache, and its all up to trial and error (unless you peg it the first time). Go out and cache, and evolve your game! You will regret all the time you waited.....trust me.
  6. The DNF is the best way for the person who owns the cache to know they need to go check it out and make sure that its ok. Who knows, maybe the cache got muggled or got washed away (big problem here in Okinawa).
  7. Bringing my dog is the best part of caching. But she is little, so i make sure i filter out the huge hiking caches. Make sure if you go and need a leash on your dog, that you have someone else to hold onto the dog so you can actually look around!
  8. I think we started out our Geocaching experiance perfectly. We bought the Garmin 60CSX right off the bat, we always bring the camera and take 30+ pics per cache. We bought a smaller car with better gas mileage so we can get down those narrow okinawa roads. We use google earth to plot our which areas we will head to so we can plan our day out. GSAK is awesome, and I am still trying to talk my friends who love to manually enter the coords in to use it. We have camelbacks, and have little cache kits all made up. Of course, we have only been caching for a little over a month, but what i am most glad about is the fact that we prioritize on having fun instead of the amount of caches we can get. I have seen people in a rat race to compete, and it takes all the fun out of the game. Stop and smell the flowers! Look in a tide pool, or discover a new cave...... My only regret is not knowing about this 3 years ago when we first got to Okinawa, because we have seen things thanks to caching that we would never had ever seen.
