  1. OK, it's been three days and no word from the FGA about when my post will be, well, posted. I hope I can meet up with some cachers in the area.
  2. I've tried that. So far, no luck. I can't get my query in the forum posted. It has to wait for approval, and so far, it's been at least 24 hours.
  3. Hi, Y'all, I'm going to be in Naples and the area from Oct 2 to Oct 7. I'm looking for some suggestions as to "must do" caches, or even try to get together with someone to do some caching. I have no idea as to what my schedule will be until I get down there. ~NativeMainer
  4. Hiya, everyone, I have a quick question regarding logging a cache. Yesterday (Friday, 7/15), I found a cache nearby my home while I out running some errands. I got home and logged the cache, only to find it missing from GC.com. I found the cache via my GSAK database and found that the cache had been archived by Groundspeak. My database had been updated three days earlier, and I had found through another geocacher that the cache had been archived between that time. I went ahead and logged the find, as I did make the find. This has caused a bit of grief with a local geocacher who said that I shouldn't have logged an archived cache (the CO was placed on a six month suspension at the beginning of July and had his 150-200 active caches archived on 7/13). My belief is that I made the find, so I should be able to log the cache. When I made the find, I did not know that the cache had been archived. Had I known, I wouldn't have gone after it. Opinions?
  5. You have conflicting requirements in your Pocket Query: "Are available to all users" and "Are for members only". As a result, you get no results, as a cache can't be both PMO and not PMO. Well, now, I feel kind of foolish. I was noticing that I wasn't getting the Members only caches, so I clicked on that option. Thanks for the help.
  6. I've been trying to create some new pocket queries. Last night, I finished a couple and did a preview using the map function, but all the program did was sit there with the little message saying "Requesting Geocaches..." It's still doing the same thing this morning. I had one pocket query run this morning, but I got a message saying there were zero caches within my query (I know for sure there's over 400 in my search parameters). I'm good, as I have a bunch stored with GSAK, but this is kind of annoying. Does anyone know what's going on with Groundspeak?
  7. I've never missed work, but I was late once or twice. I went out early to find a cache and foolishly enough, didn't mark my starting point in my GPS, so I got a little turned around getting back to my car. D'oh!!!
