  1. My boyfriend had joked about a similar cache, in putting a logbook attached to our dog's collar, and then whenever someone saw her, they could log her. Seriously though, I think a cache can be moving in order to be approved. We had a cacher in NC who would do full moon caches and each full moon he'd put the container somewhere else and it had to be found that night. He couldn't get it approved due to the movement and not being available always, so he just maintained it via a listserv for people that wanted to participate. Edit: Adding on to that, I've seen some neat travelbugs that people had made into teeshirts so they could wear them around and get logged. For example: Shirt 1 or Shirt 2
  2. I just wanted to post a quick thank you to everyone who offered advice in this thread. Though I didn't post the orginal questions, I too was working on a library cache and it's finally done and just waiting to be approved. The name is "Among Dead Trees" and the number is GCM140. Hopefully it will be approved soon. I was able to get permission from the library and they were eager to help out. Edit: It's been approved: Among Dead Trees
  3. I agree with that. Pocket Queries are large files to be getting in my mailbox. Besides, don't you have to wait until they're delivered? It's not an instant thing, like Geotoad, is it?
  4. I am familiar with Geotoad, but I had never thought of using it for the automatic 'virgin' listings. Cool idea.
  5. Sorry about putting Swe in the topic line. I thought that referred to Country the post was about, rather than language. I'm not sure how to change it now.
  6. I'll be visiting Sweden in August and I'm looking for some recommendations of caches to find. I'll be in Stockholm and Visby and I'm going to attend the caching event in Stockholm while I'm there. If there are any cool caches in that area that you recommend, please let me know. I'm going to be dropping off a couple USA Travelbugs too and I'd love to pick some up to bring back with me. Thanks, Dallas
  7. Helixblue and I are headed to Northern Europe in August. If anyone wants us to take their travelbug that way, try and get them up to Indiana (Bloomington, specifically) before August, and let us know which cache to find them. We'll be staying in Sweden, Paris, and Amsterdam, and mostly likely trying to find a cache in each.
  8. Hello, I hope I'm not stepping on any toes, but I don't think there's already an Indiana Geocaching Listserv, so I set one up on Yahoogroups today. The URL is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/in-geo/ When I was living in NC, both my state and city had geocaching listservs and they proved very useful to chat about local caches and meet up with others to find new ones. Hopefully this will be an helpful addition to the website that is already available for Indiana Geocachers: http://www.indianageocaching.com Thanks, Sallad
