Bonjour, Pour commencer, il est extrêmement rare qu'un TB "veuille" se faire collectionner. Qu'est-ce qui vous fait croire cela ? Cela vaut le coup de vérifier avec son propriétaire avant toute chose. Si la mention "cet objet est à collectionner" apparaît sur la page, cela signifie simplement que son propriétaire a coché une case, peut-être sans en comprendre la portée. C'est un problème vieux comme les collections, y compris en anglais (comprendre ici que le souci n'est pas dû à une erreur de traduction ; des géocacheurs anglophones se font "avoir" aussi). Si vous êtes sûrs de vous et si vous voulez effectivement placer l'objet voyageur dans votre collection, il faudra d'abord l'intégrer dans votre inventaire (par un log "retrieve from" ou "grab from" ou leurs équivalents français). Ensuite, depuis la page de l'objet (sur le site Web), il faudra utiliser la fonction "déplacer vers la collection". Elle se trouvera dans le menu "Action" en haut à droite.

So nobody in my group thought to go and see what the "store" had to say about it.

The UnChallenge is a great idea. Thinking about it, I tried to define some other "enhancements" of the Wonders of the World promo. Starting postulate: don't cheat (don't alter the logs order, for instance)... ("The UnChallenge" - See above). "The frugal one" - Force yourself to find ONLY different wonders (i.e. the next 14 found caches each contain a different wonder). "The hurried one" - Like "the frugal one" but in a single day. "Always more" - Like "the hurried one" but on the 15th or 16th of August. Indeed, on that weekend a 4th souvenir will be offered (International Geocaching Day 2020)! "The excessive" - Like "always more" but finding each cache in countries or states where you never geocached before (which will add to the souvenirs those of those places). (Warning: some parts of the world don't have any souvenirs yet). "The splitting" - Forcing yourself to get only one souvenir a day. Warning: this challenge is probably the hardest because souvenirs #2 and #3 are awarded at the same time. You will therefore have to validate the log at the right time so that the 2nd is dated one day and the 3rd is dated the next day. Be careful also with the other souvenirs you might get (International Geocaching Day 2020 and Memory Lane, if you haven't finished it yet)! "The Cleaner" - Choose a central point and a distance (radius). First find all the geocaches with the same first wonder in this area. Do not allow yourself to search for a second wonder until all geocaches matching the first have been found. (Warning: you will probably have to define a second zone for the second round of wonders [#8 to #14]).

Don't know if it will do the trick but worth a try... Look for your filename.urwigo. Make a backup copy (just in case). Open it with a text editor (notepad++ for example). Search for your long text and try to reduce its size by removing a part of it (several words or sentences). Save and try afterwards to open it with Urwigo.

You should try again. @sTeamTraen (Earwigo's author) was really busy last year and may have missed your application. There is no such tutorial I can think of. Wherigo cartridges specs were never officially published. But you can write a Wherigo cartridge from scratch if you want. There are open source cartridges in the Wherigo.com repository you can download, open and learn from. I'd recommend to begin with some of Ranger Fox ones because he wrote them without the help of the advanced tools (Urwigo, Earwigo,...) and therefore the code is easily readable. You won't need any compiler (because the website is in charge of this part of the job). You'll just have to write your LUA source code. As an emulator, I'd use webwigo.net. I believe it accepts to play GWZ file so you wouldn't need to compile it at all.

Est-ce parce que vous avez utilisé l'application géocaching ou votre GPS et qu'en suivant les indications de votre propre cache vous arrivez à un point éloigné d'environ 30 mètres par rapport à celui que vous connaissez comme étant le bon ? Ou bien s'agit-il d'autre chose ? Pour avancer dans la discussion, il serait intéressant de savoir quelles coordonnées vous avez obtenu lorsque vous êtes retourné(e) sur place... Comme il s'agit d'une cache traditionnelle, il n'y a aucune raison de ne pas donner les coordonnées ici. De plus, il faudrait savoir avec quel(s) outil(s) vous avez récupéré ces coordonnées. Quelques pistes : Pour ne pas avoir de doute sur le format des coordonnées (car il existe plusieurs formats comme vous avez pu le lire dans le fil de discussion que vous avez "détourné"), le plus simple est sans doute d'utiliser une application de géocaching (sur GPS ou smartphone) car elle utilisera "naturellement" le format qui nous intéresse (DMM). Pour obtenir des coordonnées relativement précises, il faut multiplier les prises en venant d'endroits différents. Par exemple, placez-vous à 100 mètres de la croix au Nord, démarrez le GPS ou l'application, attendez que la précision soit indiquée comme étant correcte (mesure d'erreur faible), avancez tout droit vers la cache, notez les coordonnées (notez-les A). Ensuite, placez-vous à 100 mètres de la croix au Sud, (re)démarrez le GPS ou l'application, attendez que la précision soit indiquée comme étant correcte (mesure d'erreur faible), avancez tout droit vers la cache, notez les coordonnées (notez-les B). Éventuellement, refaites la même chose en partant d'un autre point cardinal. Si les différentes mesures (A, B, etc.) concordent, vous avez vos coordonnées. Si elles diffèrent, en calculant la "moyenne" des nombres, vous devriez vous rapprocher de ce qu'il y a de mieux. Dernière étape : une fois que vous avez déterminé les coordonnées en question, entrez-les dans votre GPS ou smartphone et tentez de les utiliser comme si vous ne saviez pas où se trouve la cache (éloignez-vous [encore !], démarrez l'outil de recherche de géocache, suivez la flèche, le radar ou ce qui vous sert pour trouver une géocache d'habitude et vérifiez que vous êtes bien conduit(e) vers votre géocache). Qui vous a dit que vos coordonnées étaient incorrectes ? Le seul log d'un tiers sur votre cache dit juste que cette personne a un peu cherché avant de trouver, mais c'est classique. Faites-vous confiance... Attendez peut-être d'avoir plusieurs logs concordants affirmant que la cache n'est pas aux coordonnées. Demandez éventuellement aux personnes qui loguent cela quelles sont les coordonnées qu'elles estiment plus précises... Bon courage et merci de participer au jeu en posant votre propre cache !

Oui, sans problème. Quand vous modifiez les coordonnées de votre géocache, le système précise la distance qui sépare les nouvelles coordonnées et celles qui faisaient foi jusqu'ici (appelées "original" car ce sont les coordonnées d'origine). Votre nouveau relevé est situé à 15,1 mètres de votre ancien (49,6 pieds pour ceux qui calculent avec le système impérial).

No. I think they found the tracking code. I found it too, because I was intrigued by their sayings. It's a rather amusing code, which doesn't follow ordinary tracking code format but that is clever because it plays with the name of the module on which it is written. There is also a second (secret) code which is also thematically accurate. I let you discover and decrypt it.

You can't. Wherigo is a totally offline experience and video integration was never intended. If you really feel the need, you can give a YouTube URL that geocachers could copy to their YouTube app. Please note that this is not something common at all and could lead to big frustration because when you play an offline game, you don't expect to have to find some kind of connectivity just in order to be given the final coords. (Adventure Lab Caches allows video inclusion, but not in the "journal").

It is, indeed, the WhereYouGo app which adds this button. It was one of the last "features" the former developer added to his app before letting it die. It causes a lot of misunderstanding.

Are you sure you don't mix IMAP and POP3 up? POP3 is known to have the behaviour you describe, not IMAP.
