  1. Although the threat of terriost attack is very real, I think the real problem is they now can now just leak info that they will attack and cause fear without doing anything.
  2. Well I consider myself a lucky person indeed, I travel quite a bit for work and can stay at a area for months at a time. I've introduced several coworkers to the sport and try to cache local areas and find out about the area. I consider it a job benefit.
  3. Hi I just got a Sony Clie PEG-SJ22 from Best Buy $85.00 after rebates. 16mb and expandable with memoru sticks to 128mb color hi res screen. I use GeoClipping for software and will be signing up for premium membership ( mostly to support the site). Just getting started with this paperless caching but I'm convinced it's the way to go if your serious about caching.
  4. Garmin 12 oldie but rugged to the MAX!, Sony Clie SJ22 with GeoClipping, Suzuki Vinson, 34' motorhome.
  5. I too just bought a Sony Clie SJ22 and love it! plenty of memory for everything and if not memory is cheap. I've been trying lots of different ways for getting info into the pda and think Geoclipping is the easiest so far.
  6. OK I'm sure this topic has been beat to death but bear with me please. I'm looking to get a PDA and would like opinons n what to use looking at Palm m500/m505's. I don't want the latest greatest super pda and it has to be compatible with my trusty Garmin 12. I know the 12 is a little outdated but it serves my purpose's just fine thank you! I've done some research and know a hanspring won't work with the garmin as I want to upload and download to both devices. After all the research I still can't decide so I thought I'd ask some experts! Thanks for the help! and Merry Christmas to all!
  7. finally got a cable for the old Garmin 12 and hooked it up to my ThinkPad600E. After I got everything configured it worked great! the next time I try to use it the laptop the screen goes nuts no cusor control and popups all over the screen any ideas? BTW it works fine on the desktop.

  9. Oh No you got the wrong idea I'm going to put useful conversion programs (freeware), pics from cache sites and or local views (no spoilers) and the like, Just general fun legal stuff everyone can use. Looking for a screen saver program for geocaching

  13. I also don't care whats in the cache but enjoy the ingenious items the most. I leave a Team Cachebums sig button at all caches and have talked about trying to find a really cheap car and leave the keys in the cache will have to figure how to do the paperwork though. any ideas (BTW will be bidding on a 91 Astro van soon)
  14. I for one have seen some caches with little left in them, but the hunt is the best part for me. I'd much rather find a few thoughtful and or ingenious items than a bunch of junk. Just my two cents.

  16. I'm looking for some software for mapping and printing maps of trail rides, Caching hikes, and general trips. I use a Garmin 12 for my GPS. I've looked at Delorme and liked what I saw but would like an older version maybe 2.0 or 3.0 I want to run it on my laptop (TP 600e) any ideas gang?
  17. I'm new to this so I thought I'd ask. Any interest in putting in a mini cd with pics and maybe a small Power Point on it maybe a travel bug? could have some history of the area and personal bios. What do you guys think
  18. I'm a foreman for a commercial masonry co. I'm new to this geocaching thing but think it will be great! I work all over a three state area going to have to get my laptop setup for this!
