  3. Thanks to everyone (think i have opened can of worms here) thanks to annie and pb by the way. the original reason i asked is because, well i am ill at moment and cannot get out, i am a very active person and need to keep the old brain stimulated. only found about armchair caching by pure accident. cheers Well as you've seen here, the idea of armchair caching is not popular among many. There are however a few caches that were designed to be "found" without going anywhere. This website put the kibosh on them fairly soon after they started popping up because they are the antithesis of what geocaching is supposed to be about. They are still out there though, being that existing ones were "grandfathered". There aren't a lot of them. There are also many virtuals that you can "find" by looking up the answers on the Internet. This is another practice that is widely frowned upon, being that the point of virtuals is to visit the site. There are a few virtual owners who don't mind this, and a list of these virtuals is apparently circulating somewhere, but do you really want to get into this questionable practice? Being that you are stuck at home, there are some ways you can still have fun (I've been recovering from an injury for a few months and unable to get much so I'm becoming an expert at this). You can have fun solving puzzle caches at home (but trying to claim finds on them without actually visiting the caches is cheesy). You can get into Waymarking and find interesting places to list. You can make cache containers so you are ready for hiding when you are back on your feet. If you are able to get out at all, you can find some easy caches. Hope you're feeling better soon. thank for that.. will give it a go.. and already made some great caches.

  6. Think this looks really good for caching with because you could log you finds etc whilst at cache site. i saw this last night on qvc shopping type channel, it is with orange and uses the orange network, you get 20 hrs free each month and there is no contract nothing, you get the first year free then after that you pay £40 for the year. see link http://www.affordableshop.co.uk/acatalog/c...t_Surfer_2.html so has anybody got one or used one, is it any good.. cheers
  7. After buying and messing around with a palm, but to no joy (by the way thank you to every one who helped me). have found a programme that lets me load cache pages on to my ipod (ipod nano video 4gb) took me all of 10 mins. with palm took me days and even then no joy. if intrested just go to: http://cachemagnet.googlepages.com/ then download. you will need to be a Premium member to download GPX eXchange file. there is even a video, have a quick look so there you go, i am now paperless
