  1. Just wanted to give this a bump up. I think the weather's even supposed to be nice on Sunday! []
  2. When the Donutdog's leg was bandaged up I put a sandwich bag around her foot and held it onto the cast with a rubberband - it kept the part that touched the ground dry. If that's not enough, a grocery bag could probably be wrapped around a little bit to minimize its oversized-ness and held on with a rubberband or two. I suppose plastic wrap (like saran wrap) would work too, with the rubberbands helping hold it on. It's hard to see them hurt. Hope she heals up soon.
  3. This sounds like so much fun, we had already made plans to come (barring last minute problems or horrendous weather) and even sent the info to some others. Great idea for an event.
  4. Just signed up. Thanks for helping central ohio cachers get organized.
  5. A cacher in my area puts his signature sticker on the cache containers he finds. On regular-sized containers, this practice always struck me as a little rude, but not necessarily harmful. The sticker, however, is quite colorful and was placed in one instance on a steathily-hidden, black film container micro. The cache was later plundered. I was surprised that an experienced cacher wouldn't understand what a bad idea it was to put a sticker there. I suppose future notes should instruct cachers to replace the cache in the same condition they found it, as well as location.
  6. I don't live there anymore, but I have friends who cache in Nevada and participate in southern nevada caching events: Nevada Geocaching
  7. I picked up 2 racers a couple days ago east of Columbus that I plan to bring to the Cincy area this weekend. Can't get there until Sunday though. Hopefully they can catch the Web-ling train to Tejas.
  8. Yeah, it took me a while to figure that one out. A page "regenerates" when a new log/note/change is added, and find counts (and username changes, etc) are updated then. If no one adds logs or makes changes, the page continues to show the counts as they stood at the last page update.
  9. I think this is a great idea -- so much so that I'd like to use it myself for a bug! Would you mind if I "borrowed" the idea? Edit: Not being a quilter, I wouldn't be offering something that wonderful! I'm thinking of some other small prize. And of course I'd give credit where credit is due for a good idea.
