  1. Criminal has a guide to camo painting on his web site.
  2. I have bought ammo cans from The Sportsman's Guide a couple of times, apparently, their idea of very good condition is completely rusted and very dirty, I wont buy anything from them again.
  3. My first driver's license photo 1979 Standing next to pnl 184L (where our processor and CS receiver hid) 1983: Playing 2112 in 1986:

    Finally!

those are great, I don't get the "Horizontal is where it's at" part?
  5. Lots of people (around here at least) leave stuff, and take nothing, to try and make up for the selfish cachers. If they can take stuff and leave nothing (consistently), and live with themselves, I doubt you could do anything but anger them.
  6. Yah but I'd rather have that than the Honda Element. That is just one ugly car. Element is the box a CR-V comes in.
  7. They are still listed here but show out of stock there.
  8. The park my Lame Micro #3 cache is in, has a sign saying the same thing. I guess as long as it's more or less than a half hour after sunset, you're OK.
  9. I have to agree, I find even the temp adhesive disks will hold my SP III without problems. If you have armor all on your dash, try cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol first.
  10. You can do a lot of caching at night without going into a park. In those cases, I figure it's fare game, but stealth, is important. If somebody happens to see you, despite attempts to blend in, and calls the cops, if you aren't doing anything illegal, no problem. Looking suspicious and breaking the law aren't the same thing. I won't lie and say I haven't been in a park after hours, but I couldn't say that before I started Geocaching. I don't do it often. And I DON"T ADVERTISE IT either. I will say if the maps don't show the cache in a park, and it doesn't say park in the description, and no hours are listed in the cache description, and I drove to the cache site, I will probably find the cache. Hi officer, I was in the park earlier today and realized, after I got home, that I left my GPSr here. I really didn't want to leave it here overnight, and I just found it as you pulled up. I haven't used that, but it's there. (Thanks Criminal).
  11. This is sold, pending funds. I will close the thread when funds are received. ALSO: Please note that I was mistaken, the 2 adhesive disks I have are the permanant disks (which can still be removed, just tougher).
  12. is there anyway to make it impossible to log at the first waypoint? Is there a log sheet in it, or are people writing on the sheet with the next WP coords on it? If so laminate that puppy. or write NOT THE FINAL on it. Yet another reason NOT to cache without the cache description handy. I wonder if all the false finds are from people who load their GPSr up with waypoints and go caching with just that info.
  13. I agree with Criminal, it's best not to be seen. I like 2am for caching. Around here the bars close at 2am, so the cops are busy with drunk drivers etc (of course that makes the drive to the cache a bit more challenging). I almost always cache in darkness, and haven't had a problem yet. came close once, but stealthed my way out of it. I use my flashlight sparingly, and mostly use an Inova X5 LED flashlight with a softer glow than most flashlights.

  15. If it's a park nearby, you can mark a waypoint there, and search by coordinates. Or if you have a map program, you can use that to get the coordinates.
  16. Looks like they used the original cache page to make the second cache. I looked at their profile and they only have 1 cache that's listed as archived, and it's a multi.
  17. Agreed. For the same reason, I think the cache owner should post a note whenever the difficulty has been changed (hint added or changed, mistakes corrected, etc.).
  18. 1: DNF 2: DNF I also agree with the DNF is a DNF, and should stay forever, no big deal.
  19. Bla bla bla bla.....Now you are telling me what I can and can't post? LMAO! I believe he was QUESTIONING you as to why you would post such an openly hostile post, for no real reason, but of course you read whatever you wanted into that. Just like your read BrianSnat's statement "Maybe you don't care..." as him telling you that you absolutely don't care, instead of answering that, "yes I do care, here is the reason I said that." You do a great job of getting angry for no reason. If you are this easily bothered by people disagreeing with you, MAYBE the forums aren't for you . Read whatever you want into that, not that I'm telling you what to do, that would be wrong wouldn't it?
  20. Have you updated to the Latest version? (Click "Download Now" in the lower right corner.) The reason I ask, is that one of the things it said was updated was: "Functionality of downloading tracks from a third Party GPS has been updated." This update is from 12/03/2002 but if you have never updated since you bought it, chances are you have an older version.
